This video is misleading because it wrongly suggests differences between the spiritual rituals of Tulu kola, Kodava tere, and Malayalam Theyyam. However, these rituals, whether called kola, tere, or Theyyam, are performed by the same community or sub-community within Coastal Karnataka, Kodagu, Malenadu, and Kerala. These terms essentially mean the same thing and involve worshiping Daiva (Spirit), folk or tribal gods, or ancestors. It's important for credible media organizations like The Hindu to conduct thorough research and talk to people who are well knowledgeable about this, not just rely on a single person who is a college lecturer. It's not clearly mentioned whether she has conducted research, written a book, or holds a PhD specifically on Tere or kola!.
The video quality, however, is excellent.

@@RohanPonnanna Well, well, Mr. Rohan! Seems like you've been keeping a close eye on this video. Care to enlighten us on where you found that fact you're so certain about? Let's remember, our job isn't to do the research - that's what the media is for, right?

@@vibrantmedia786 you're claiming to be media and telling that its not your job to do research and on the other hand asking The Hindu which is also a media to conduct through research
By the way for your enlightenment search for thesis in Kodagina Tere Kattuva Acharanegala Vishleshane
      Hope you find your answers

Both bhoota kola and there and thira all are starting at the areas where theyyam rituals ends and the central part of the area called kannur and its surrounding areas where most theyyams happens so may be all this ritual styles have been originated from the centre

@@RohanPonnanna Hey Mr. Ponnanna, relax. Just so you might know, I'm not a big media outlet like The Hindu. I'm just a small guy running a studio unrelated to journalism, so research isn't really my thing. That's more for organizations like The Hindu and their journalists. 😅 I still stand by what I said though, the info in this video isn't accurate, and there's a lack of research on the topic by reporter.😊
Oh, and thanks for sending the thesis topic name of the college lecturer; I'll check out her thesis. 🙏

@@Venkitesh_Gupthan The meticulous attention to costume and makeup is visually stunning, and I commend the dedication involved. Recognizing the human struggle for purpose, I believe that while cultural beliefs often fill this void with the concept of a higher power, it is possible to find meaning through logic and reason. It is our collective responsibility to foster understanding and enlightenment on this matter. Innocent people perceive the subject matter with divinity, but objectively there is none, life and time gone to drain. Cunning people make money out off deception
