  • TYM Tractors! T754 vs John Deere 5075E Tractor. Come along as we explore the TYM T754.
TYM Tractors! New Kid on the block? Not really. TYM has been making tractors over 50 years and they sell farm equipment around the world. The TYM T754 Tractor Cab model compares head to head with the John Deere 5075E cab tractor; however, at a much better price point, with many more standard features, and with a better warranty. I will concede that John Deere is a much more developed company in the USA, but TYM is on the same level as John Deere worldwide. TYM Tractors is South Korea's largest tractor manufacturer and one of the largest manufactures of farm equipment in the world. The John Deere (JD) 5075E is made in Pune, Maharashtra, India, so both tractors are made overseas.
The TYM T754 comes in with 74 engine horsepower while JD comes in at 73. The TYM T754 has a rated 64.1 PTO HP while the JD 5075E has only 57.6 rated PTO horsepower. Both tractors come at almost the same weight with only a few hundred pounds difference. Both can be made heavier with loaded tires, suitcase weights, and wheel weights. Both TYM and JD have similar Hydraulic flow rates at 16.1 and 17.5 respectively.
Both tractors offer power shuttle shift transmission as an option, but TYM offers the 16 Forward/16 Reverse transmissions in both Power shift and Standard shift assuring the correct speed for your needs. The John Deere 5075E comes up short here with only a 9F/9R Standard shift transmission and a 12F/12R Power Shift. Having these extra gears really comes into play while using the tractors in many applications such as hay production. More gears mean getting the right speed with better fuel efficiency. This translates in all applications such as mowing, tilling, and loader work. The TYM transmission allows for the tractor to creep whereas the JD 5075E has an optional 9F/9R creeper transmission which limits upper speeds. The TYM T754 is just a better setup in the transmission arena no matter if you go Power or Standard Shuttle Shift. Common Complaints on John Deere’s 5075E review page is, weak for a 75hp tractor, terrible fuel efficiency, and small fuel tank. Having the extra gears in the TYM T574 allows TYM to bypass all these problems.
Even though the hydraulic power flows are close to the same, TYM comes through again offering more standard features at a better price point. The TYM T754 category II 3-point hitch lifts more and comes standard with two rear remotes with an optional OEM factory 3rd rear remote. The JD 5075E only comes standard with one rear remote having a factory option of only one extra remote. This fact is a huge oversight for the John Deere 5075E. Tractors in this size range almost always use implements requiring at least two remotes with many requiring three. Having these rear remotes added later will come at a steep price so having more standard features is just a better position.
The overall dimensions of a tractor have a huge impact on how it handles terrain and how comfortable the tractor operates. A longer wheelbase will cause a tractor to ride smoother across rough fields and almost never have bad side effects on operations. The TYM T754 will provide a better ride with more stability coming in at 86.1 inches of wheelbase vs the JD 5075E coming in at 80 inches of wheelbase. Inches matter in tilt and roll of a tractor’s stability.
In the standard loader arena, John Deere is not even in the same ballpark as TYM’s capacities for the same class tractor. The JD 512 Non-Self Leveling loader lifts 2453lbs to full height at the pivot points, whereas, the T754 TX75 Self Leveling lifts 3233 pounds. TYM T754’s TX75SL breakout force is 5335 pounds. John Deere 5075E’s 512NSL loader breakout force is 4781 pounds. Scanning through the data provided by both companies leaves John Deere falling short in this area too.
Having seat time in both tractors, I can tell you the TYM T754 is a much smoother tractor to operate. The four-cylinder Deutz engine has much less vibration than John Deere’s three-cylinder engine. The cabs are just about equal in every way as to creature comforts. Both have great visibility and very nice seats. I do feel that the controls feel better placed in the John Deere, but not to the point it would matter. This is also based on my body size and therefore is subjective. Other people may find the TYM controls better placed.
Looking at the two tractors head to head, I find the TYM T754 a better value all the way around over the John Deere 5075E. It has more features, more capacity, better warranty, and a lower price point. John Deere is a bigger company, but TYM has added millions of dollars’ worth of capacity in the United states putting in a new parts warehouse and always improving their large assembly plant in Wilson, NC. Set on both tractors before you buy just for a color!
We have sponsors. TYM is letting us demo a tractor. We are not getting paid for demoing and we will tell you the truth.

Like those big tires on the front. One thing about having large tires on the front, I have seen some videos with LS XR tractors where the tire was rubbing. The solution was add longer stop bolts and that created other problems. Not crazy about the beep beep when backing up. Bolt already rusting on the AC compressor - that is a deal breaker - lol

Another great video! I just put in the reach to look for the TYM T754 Tractor, and this is one that popped up. To be honest, I didn't even look at who's video this was but the guy that said hello looked like someone I knew. LOL, but then I said to myself, "Hey, that's Tony!" LOL Anyway, you were almost down to where Lisa was born in Lake Wales. Anyway, this is a great video, and I am very interested in this size tractor. I just wish the nearest dealer was a little than two hours away.

Nice video review. There are so many Chinese tractors out now but the question is will they last. I dont think JD's are as good what they used to be. A farm l worked on bought a brand new 50hp JD and within weeks it was back at the dealership with leaking injectors and eventually the engine blewup and they tried to get out of it. The engine was made in India which is a bit disappointing. Just like here in Australia we don't manufacture hardly anything and now our car manufacturing collapsed. Everything is made in China these days. I found your channel from your collaboration with Hamiltonville Farm. Just subbed your channel and got some catching up to do.

Yeah and how many folks having problems with the 5075e shuttle shifter aka powerreverser ....among other problems....? A hell of a lot. It may last long enough for a few guys to plant their food plots to hunt once a year for a few hours. But, to depend upon it to make a living? Hell naw. Why doesn't JD have to recall all the issues they have? Back when made in the U.S. and computer and sensor free, not many issues back then and any mechanic including the farmer could repair them. Now mechanics depend on these diagnostic codes which are only as good as what's downloaded from JD. This is what happens when politicians accept $$$, from big corporate from pharma to food to our equipment. We have to live, or not live, with it. Corporate America 3rd party mfrd and 3rd party assembled should be held accountable for recalls ! F'ing unacceptable!!..

Wrapped mine in thick foam. Still works but at an acceptable level. People (my wife, kids and grandkids) love to quickly cross BEHIND (ARGH!!!) the tractor when I’m plowing snow, loading hay etc. Today’s tractors can reverse quickly. When I hit reverse I’m often repositioning the loader for the next pass and only then look behind. Foam and a few zipties cost pennies. Takes 10 minutes to muffle it. I also like the “audio indication” of direction selector being in reverse. Back up alarms are designed to be heard at 200 feet with full hearing protection. No need for that volume in a homeowner or farm application but I still like the moderate volume alarm. If I disconnected it and ran over somebody I would feel terrible.

I guess the question is how long will this tractor last; parts availability and dealer support, in my area there is no dealer that sells this product I would have to drive very far away and my business I run my tractors come spring time seven days a week for over five months running them at full PTO speed and if something breaks I need to get to my dealer and get parts ASAP we have some other off brand-name tractors in our area and something breaks with one of those tractors they can’t get parts or service for two months so I think anyone purchasing a tractor that’s very important, in the video yes it looks like a nice tractor it really depends how its put together, it doesn’t matter if it’s made in India or South Korea or China I would say out of those three China is the worst, I am a big John Deere supporter I’ve purchased over seven tractors in the last six years but I will say every tractor that I purchased I’ve had problems but the problems were only in the beginning and they were fixed immediately and then after that no issues, but again for someone like myself who works very hard I need parts right away, Since this is a comparison to John Deere, I would say John Deere is one of the biggest tractor manufacturers in the world and they would not be building tractors if they were junk, I would not say this is a better tractor than John Deere, in my eyes I don’t think there is comparison but if someone’s going to purchase this tractor they should be proud of it maintain it take care of it I’m sure you’ll be happy with the tractor most of all dealer support but as an owner of a five series 75 hp tractor John Deere is a great tractor, and it doesn’t matter if one tractor is heavier than the other in stock form because you can always add wheel weights you can add weight to the front you can fill the tires etc. we all have different applications for example my business we mow large acreage and we try to keep our tractors lighter but for heavy loader work etc. a heavier tractor is better so having the option to make a tractor heavier is better for us I’m only bringing all this up just because of the comparison as stated on the title I don’t see any other comparisons in here after the title it’s a good looking tractor and I’m very curious after about 1500 hours how it held up, Thank you for the video and information on this track🚜🚜🚜

Take all of your concerns and apply them to the John Deere 75 HP made in India. TYM is one of the largest manufacturers of tractors in the world, and they make all of their tractors. They have made tractors for 70 years. John Deere is not the Apple Pie Star-Spangled company it was 40 years ago. They have had other companies build tractors for them all over the world. I like many John Deere products, but they are struggling for parts worse than TYM. Go check out the tears in the JD forums. TYM has a massive parts warehouse in North Carolina and three assembly plants in the US.

I apologize, I did my original response to your video my text with my voice and I should have read it before I sent it, what I was trying to say is your tractors look like a nice tractor, I wish there was more dealers in all areas, the reason I was saying I thought John Deere was superior was because they have dealerships everywhere, and for me dealer support is very important, if I was in your area I would test drive/demo your tractors and if I liked it I would purchase it knowing the dealer is there in the area, Local dealer support and service parts is very important for me, unfortunately we have no TYM dealerships anywhere in my area nothing within a 200 mile radius that I can find I did not mean to call your company an offbrand tractor we have some dealers here that sell Mahindra in Branson it’s hard for them to get parts and quickly do any service/Repairs quickly. I should’ve made this a little more clear as to my response to your video so I apologize if I offended you, and you are correct, John Deere has had parts issues along with tractor assembly issues, and it really doesn’t matter where tractors are made companies outsource all over the world whether it’s India Mexico China and who knows where else, but for me it really does come down to dealers supporting us hard-working guys that count on there machine daily, you seem to be a “real good” guy, I wish you the best with all your sales your business and in the future. But if I had a dealership with your products in my area I would definitely consider one of your tractorsThanks again for your thorough video👍🚜🚜

No worries! I could have replied with less Attitude! I am not a dealer. My wife and I have put together a UA-cam channel. We own two TYM tractors and we have become friends with people at the company. Dealer support is essential! TYM is not as big as John Deere in the USA, but they are growing fast. They recently bought out Branson tractors, and will integrate their infrastructure. TYM is following Kubota’s business model. Make a good tractor for a fair price. I wished Kubota still followed that plane.
