10 or so years ago, I was in the small Washington state town of Dayton. This is in the heart of the Palouse region (my favorite). Carrying my camera, a local shop clerk asked me if I had ever heard of "our local photographer, Nick Page". As a fellow Washingtonian, I am pleased to see his growth as a landscape artist, educator and photographic business man since I answered the clerk back then - "Who is Nick Page??". ;-)

Awesome, as always, Nick. These images are really special. I'm so glad you revealed the time-lapse techniques and setting for the lightning strikes. I spend time in Oregon every year because my son and grandchildren live in Eugene and I'm already planning to head to the coast next spring to see some waves. Thanks Glyn for this video and thanks to Nick for the inspirational photographs!
For safety reasons, I take screenshots of lightning strikes from video.
The photos derived from that method are fantastic.
I just use my phone - handheld - and stand in a safe spot (if not sitting indoors at my kitchen table aiming the camera out a big picture window.
Liing that. Kind of hoping for some lightning now 😃
