I just flew this 90 mm 6S Freewing F-22 on September 20, 2020 representing our club for a park promotion event and I agree with everything Pilot Ryan is saying. This is truly a great Freewing creation. It has incredible slow speed manners and the nose gear is very solid if you run off in to the grass. Tough as nails, great flyer and looks like a dream. Tons of space in battery compartment.
Guys that was some pretty AMAZING slow flying stuff you demonstrated!!! Seems like a fantastic plane with a huge flying envelope together with that A3L Hobby Eagle gyro. Big thanks for showing us this vid! Greetings from Belgium and merry X-mas and happy new year for everyone!!! (Icarus the 2nd)
I can't believe how slow it'll fly!! I wish my 90mm F-15 and 16 could come in that slow for landing! Looks like I know what my next jet is going to be. 🤘
Without question, Freewing’s finest work. The 80mm a-10, the T-33, L-39 and the Me-262 all fly great, but the F-22 and the attention to detail is off the chart. Then throw in how well it flies. And it’s rugged if you’re not the best at landing.
Ryan is right the 64mm high performance raptor from freewing is one of my favorites. It looks like the two fly very similar. Keep up the good work guys.
@@PilotRyanMedia dude, me and my bud @flyingfoley do whatever it takes to get in the air. We drive miles and miles and brag about doing it! Tires, skis of floats we get it done. Happy new year!
Great video of F-22 takeoffs, slow flight and landing with the mixing and Gyro! Maiden flight of the E-Flite F-16 Thunderbird... awesome, but need to remove some foam from the aft battery tray and move the receiver back to GG at 100mm for the 6S 4000 Pro. Thumbs up! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both of you and yours! Cheers!
Maidened my f22 6s today, put the cg well enough to the back to get to high alpha easier. This plane begs you to experiment with different configs, started today with simple mix between flaps and elevators, it just needs a tad of elevator and it evens it out so well I had to do a pass to believe I was on 50% flaps. It slowed but didnt balloon up :) Your f22 videos helped greatly to ease the tension. Put in 2 perfect flights with equal slow landings in almost blue angels f18 style on our rather rough grass field. Those big wheels are great on rough grass. Thanks Pilot Ryan.
Great flying Ryan, filming not to shabby either! I'm still trying to master flying a party balloon!! Have a great Christmas & happy new year to you both.
Ryan, it looks dialed in darn good BRO. lol. Look for my purchase coming soon. Trying to make make room for this beast. My Rc room is filled to the max. We will get her in here though. Haha.
@@PilotRyanMedia Motion RC has the 6s on sale. I take it the 8s will have more power etc? I do not want to buy the 6 and wish I had the 8. What are the differences if you know? Thanks in advance.
Phil Christie speed and money. You’ll get more flight time on 6s save money and the plane will fly lighter which will allow for cool high Alpha nose high passes
50 percent or 12:00 on the pots seems all around good especially if you want to go full throttle without oscillating. If it’s windy and I know I just want to slow fly and shoot landings I’ll crank it up a little to about 70
@Pilot Ryan Media Thanks! I’ll memorize that one. I had the FW 64”. Sold it to a local begging to own it. 4S. Was too small for my old 4 Cataract eyes. I want to get a 70-90 EDF for this summer. F22 only one can be slowed enough on landing to fit on our blacktop parking lot. About 200’ long. With Full Flaps and Harrier Landing I can do it.
Im a little confused about what was "amazing" about the straight level pass with the gyro. Does the plane have a problem with a level pass that the gyro was smoothing out?
I want one cap. I’m less than a amateur at best but I can fly my 1600mil f7f,,,with help. This looks way easier to fly just because you can fly it at slow speed. And it’s sexy as all get out. May get the 70 mill f35 though. Which one would you recommend for my skill level? Thanks
Been trying to decide on this one being the next addition to my hanger or, the PJ50 private jet. I have the AL37 and I freaking love landing that thing...lol. I'm a scale flyer mostly...bad eyes. But...the F22....come on man. The slow flight characteristics makes me think of the Eflite 70mm F16 Tbird. Another really light fighter...love the high alpha and high alpha landings with a stiff headwind. So...I put it up to a vote with some friends and buddies out at the field. The poor PJ50...not one yea vote. Yea, expected that. I mean...its the F22!!! The badeat bad a$$ in the bloody sky. So... She will be the new addition and...I am stoked! Just started flying the B25 and absolutely love that bird. Crazy long flight times on a 6s 5000! No bad characteristics. Dropping parachutes at the field is always fun. Some snap pops too....lol. Now...I want to repaint her in the Marine Pacific Blue scheme. How cool will that look? Its gonna have to wait for summer (live in metro Phoenix) cause she's gotta a busy winter ahead of her!
By tailerons I mean the full flying horizontal stabs so did you gyro those with V-tail option or just go with gyro ailerons? Some flight stabilizers like the NX3 have an extra aileron input so you can hook up both.
Thank you pilot Ryan for sharing, I just bought my F22 and I was wondering about installing a gyro. Your video convinced me to install one in the future, I still have to maiden mine. What expo are you using? Stay healthy and safe. :)
The third flight in this vid is the funnest! Don’t miss it!

Like the glide and the alpha, love the slow mo you can see so much about the plane with it and a good pilot.
Great Job Guys. Nice SWEET Landings ETC..... Thanks, Skip
Skip-Built, RC. Thanks!
I'm getting my F22 Tuesday. That is great flying ... So much fun!!!!
Dude you are the king Rat this is grate . Helps with the aggravation of the day
Oh man I love this jet! Fantastic flying! I think I’m going to put my order in 😁
That's good. It flies good even in the cold!
It sure does thanks for coming by
I love the way that F22 lands ,!!
Oh yeah me too
Multiple flights with this gyro and setup on Freewing F15 today. Very smooth and no problems. Thanks for the information Pilot Ryan!
loving this on Christmas day....
AWESOME VIDEO PILOT RYAN!!! CANT WAIT TO BUY ONE!!
Very nice. Smooth flying.
Amazing flying with an amazing plane. The F22. With the gyro combination kicks ass. Merry Christmas Ryan and Mike!

so pumped to fly it

64mm is my first venture into edf. Live the look of the f22 so much I had to have it. Just need some flying weather.

Awesome man! I've REALLY been into killer slow flight with certain planes lately and it's SO fun! This one is definitely made for Cobras! 🤘😎
Alpha10 for sure slow flight and high alpha landings are a blast.

Got to watch F35s fly at Luke AFB for the first time. They seem so much louder than the old F16 was. Love the looks of the F22.

Yet another great vid guys, seasons greetings from New Zealand
Great job I see you are starting to get comfortable with it nice slow controlled landings. I took my l-39 out today it was great flying on Christmas.
Anthony Thompson thanks and congrats. L39 is very nice
Great video guys! Merry Christmas to you and yours

Nice..
I don't have an Instagram, can't you show your gyro set up on your next f-22 video?
Awesome 👏 !
Hey Ryan it’s me again and I’m very excited for tomorrow And I wish I a great Christmas
Great flight.....I assume throws are by the book except for the flap/elevator mix.
Brian K Mavpro that’s by the book to, it calls for a little down

how would that jet fly with safe select you think. I still go into that being a little new at jets like 50/50
You guys just need to turn that runway into the wind and be done with it. Nice demo!
You’re not kidding! Maybe a rolling loop can knock it off it’s axis
Did you setup the ailerons per manual? How much travel on your ailerons?
what the flap mix that you ended up with this jet?
Merry Christmas guys!
Victor Shamulus Merry Christmas!
Love the slow flight with the F-22. Give us a little more flight instruction on how to do that. Merry Christmas.
How about a picture of the gyro to show the Settings?

Dadgummit Ryan, you’re going to force me to bust out the cash for one of these babies ! 😂 Nice Flying ! 🍻

What is your f22 gyro gain?, I need it thanks
That's sweet , a turbine version would be killer
Were is your gyro mounted Ryan? I'm setting mine up and not sure were to Mount mine.
I put it where the blue box sits. Are you on Facebook?

6a or 8s? Not sure which on the buy.

B Grant nope we just enjoy seeing these planes fly close
Do you think a 2200mah 6s is too small? Because that's what I'll be using
ROCKETRY XZACH yes too small
@@PilotRyanMedia Oh my bad, it's a 2700mah. Still too small? They probably weigh almost a pound.

What does the gyro mean and what does it do?
Im curious as well
How long of flights do you average, 3s 4s etc and your mah size . Ever try the titan rc 18650s for extended time depends on edf amp draw
Typical 6s jet flights between 3-4 minutes
