It's a very annoying situation but at the end of the day, Jon doesn't have to vacate the belt, and he was booked against Stipe before Tom Aspinall was ever booked on short notice to fight Pavlovich.
It might be frustrating that Jon is fighting someone as old as Stipe, but if Stipe really is the best heavyweight there ever was, he deserves one last shot at the title, because he's too old to ever get that opportunity again
This just the flavor of the week to bitch about. Dude hasn’t even fought stipe yet. There are multiple interim titles that were never unified. Only reason it was a title fight so they didn’t do the fans dirty.
