This is just what I need to make for my dog Minnie. She used to run ahead ahead of my bike but now she is up in age . Thanks for sharing this idea.

Thank you for this. I was a heartbeat away from selling my recumbent because I couldn't figure out a way to take my pups along.

loved the video and using the gear ties are perfect. thanks for sharing wondered how they worked. Also where to find them. The trail ride looked like a lot of fun had by all.

Thanks Paula. The gear ties work great and I got them at Home Depot.

How do you transport the second trike.. or do only one of you get to ride on these adventures..?

Hi Rob, Now I am riding a regular bike and put a bike carrier on the back of the car with my bike after loading the trike into the car. However, with the seats folded down, I think there might be enough room for two GT20s or maybe even one GT26 and one GT20. I will try this sometime next year.

Do you feel your dog shifting the trike around if he changes position?

Thanks for your question, Liz. This year we have two GT20s with 20 inch rear tire rather than 26. This puts our dog lower to the ground and he seems to like it much better. We can feel it a bit when he shifts but certainly nothing that causes us to lose any control of the trike.

@@heduitman Thanks for letting me know. I have a Catrike Trail w/3 20 inch tires. We are working on a crate to carry our Boston Terrier. He is 22-24 pounds. Hope he likes it!

Just take it slow at the beginning...maybe have someone walk beside him at first. If he's like our dog he will get used to it fairly quickly. Good luck.@@lizchilders4154

Wow, small world! I’m getting a tadpole trike soon and was looking for advice on bringing the poochie along on rides. I thought the music performance sounded familiar, and what a delightful surprise to learn it’s the GVSU orchestra! Thanks for sharing. Great ideas and soundtrack. :)

Glad to hear from you, Charles, and so glad I got to see and hear Cole on your channel when he was a youngster ;-). Yes, we have gone about 600 miles on the trails in Michigan this summer and love it. Hope you enjoy your new trike!
