Hi, this is an awesome video and l'm trying to teach it to my horse but when I "add stick", asking her to come closer to me, she instead goes further away. Could you please give me some advice? Thank you!

Génial !! J'ai regardé beaucoup d'instructeurs en horsemanship et Ryan est simple, sincère et très logique. Base sur bien-être du cheval.

Good info Ryan.To increase your draw use an open palm faced towards the horse,,, your horse will get use to this cue over time.Increase the pressure of this Draw by moving a finger/s while open palm is faced to the horse.Over time you will be simply able to ask your horse over or draw to you by showing them your palm or by moving a finger.I can simply ask my horse to me by moving my finger.Cool trick and easy on both of us .Don't underestimate that a horse can see small details if they care to .Hope my explaination makes some sense. Most cues we humans use can be simply be used on your horse. Its all body language and it's universal for horses to learn it as long as we are consistent and clear.Try watching a horse liberty video with the sound off...It should still make sense ...flow and be effortless for both horse and trainer to understand.🙂

    Hi Ryan,
Very helpful. Could you tell me the exact title of your third warm-up? Can not quite grasp the exact name or find it on your channel. “Light Circle”???

Silly question from a person who is less experienced. I have watched you teach the horses to stay one whip or flag away from you and respect your bubble. Now you want them up close to your elbow. How do you teach the difference, so they know which one they are supposed to be doing?

Beautiful warm, sunny Oct. day here NJ. I spent about an hour with my 19 yr. old Haflinger gelding just walking on a lose lead stopping and backing. Forward is good, but backing is ignored unless there is a tap of the stick on his chest. Then it's reward, relax and repeat.
