    Growing up Italian-American, I always oiled my hair with olive and rosemary oil and used a rosemary rinse. It was such a fun moment of intimate bonding when my South Asian friends spotted my oil bottle in in the bathroom in college. We ( Pakistani/northern Indian/southern Indian/Italian) had different massage techniques and goals, but shared and taught each other. We were all alone in a foreign country, and sharing our experiences made us real friends.

    I use 2 Tbl Castor Oil
    2 Tbl Organic Honey
    I egg yolk
    About 7 drops Rosemary Oil.
    Mix and add to scalp and hair strands getting all of the ends. Wrap hair in plastic, wrap in towel for up to 2hrs. Rinse in cool water to remove most of the egg then shampoo. Do this twice a week.

    You have great videos, you really know your stuff and summarize things well and its nice that you share the products you use that work best for you and don't try to gatekeep them. I have one question though based on your commentary on rosemary oil. I noticed in another vid that you use just castor oil and dermaroller on the brows, but have you tried using rosemary on brows as well to supplement hair growth there too?

    • @SarahSaleen
      @SarahSaleen  2 роки тому +1

      Hi! Thank you soo much ❤️❤️So that video was from years ago I actually don’t use a dermaroller anymore. If I did go back to using a dermaroller I would definitely use it with a growth factor or stem cell serum like the one that act and acre makes meant for hit. I may thallus purchase it if it goes on sale to try. But no I haven’t tried that. I don’t think I would just Becuase Rosemary is so potent I wouldn’t want to apply that anywhere that I’m cheating tiny wounds.. if Ido try start dermarolling again I’ll talk about it on my channel ❤️

    You might consider getting a wooden comb/brush. Plastic combs/brushes create static in hair/frizz (which is shown when you are brushing your hair in the video). I recently stopped using my plastic combs/brushes and I’ve noticed a significant decrease in frizz.

    I do not oil my hair. But I do comb and brush it thoroughly from multiple different angles with wooden combs, a brush with wooden bristles, and a BBB. Being that the only thing I put into my hair is filtered water or an herbal hair rinse, that sort of counts as hair oiling, right?? My hair and scalp certainly do feel drenched by the end of each "session" anyway (twice a week), and then after washing it feels so soft and healthy!

    If I have seborrheic dermatitis should I not oily my scalp? Anytime oil touches my scalp I get bumps and a flare. But my hair is fine strands, curly and so dry & struggling with extreme hair shedding, so I need help from oil. I don't know what to do.

    • @SarahSaleen
      @SarahSaleen  2 роки тому +2

      I’d avoid oil if that’s the case. Inflammation and irritation on the scalp can lead to hairloss too.
      There are other hair growth methods like LED, hair supplements.. maybe using a hair mask on the lengths but not the scalp. Gentle hair products as anythjng harsh can trigger it too.

    Im wondering if it would work for my western grey pretty dry hair? Yes im growing my hair one because i used to love my longer hair as a kid. But getting older my hair got so damaged due to health and my birth mother cutting it our of jealousy. So now on my old age I’ve let it grow again. I stopped washing it more than once a week if found it drying out more even with the good hair products. It got a bit better by using more personal created shampoo and conditioner. I have an oil for the ends but I’m unsure. I use a bamboo brush and comb. Maybe i should try out oiling my hair.

    • @SarahSaleen
      @SarahSaleen  2 роки тому +1

      Yess try oiling it 1-2x a week using a super light coating of oil on the scalp and lengths.. do a gentle scalp massage with the oils in. then you can just wash it out after 2-3 hours. Rosemary oil is the best oil for hair growth since there are some actual studies on it. Just remember to dilute it before applying it like I did in the video. I’ll make a follow up video to this as I have many daily tips for damaged hair and hair growth. I also do now take hair supplements and use a hair growth serum on my scalp which does help as well.

      Yes I’m sure all of that helps! I do take supplements like a hair vitamin and and few others that may aid in hair growth. And I try to watch my diet, work out, manage stress. All of that can help! As for other oils, there are some other oils that have a few studies behind them for hair growth but I haven’t tried anything without rosemary. I mean I do use the innate life rosemary scalp oil which mad tons of ingredients in addition to rosemary and love it ❤️

Beautiful shine, all the bounce, no frizz and softness is guaranteed. Budget friendly too with all the benefits.
