Personally i think 2 exhaust is better, the exhaust fans should be as far back as possible or you start pulling the cold air in the front out prematurely.
That's not how cooling works. All airflow is designed to do is recycle the hot air away so cooler fresh air is inside as much as possible. The air itself doesn't rly need to hit anything. The ambient displacement is enough
@@guldanhamtaro been using this set up for over a year at this point...I have barely any dust even when I clean my rig, I have one exhaust at the back, one exhaust at the top back, and two intakes I know you thought you were doing something but you really didn't.
Haha, no. That is not how it works, at all. 1. Front and top intake fans with 1 exhaust will create an air cycle, trapping all of your heat inside the case. 2. Top intake fans are dust vacuums and actively work against your GPUs which is most likely has an open air cooler like 99% of all modern GPUs. 3. Top exhaust fans should be running at a lower RPM than your intake and CPU fans as to not prematurely suck up fresh air from the front intakes.
Unless your running a front 360 radiator. In which you a want the air escaping as fast as you can do your GPU can have the best fresh cool air as possible, I would assume since this is my set up.

I remember when I bought my Bequiet fans in 2020 and thought 10 bucks a fan was expensive but not a good non rgb fan is 20-30 bucks now and the rgb ones are around 50-60 bucks
I don’t recommend smoke machines. Just tape some thin paper pieces and when the fans are blowing it’ll show which way they are going. Also to the case 😱
So i have the same fan setup but the 3 exhaust fans on the top are pushing air through my h150i radiator, and i do not have a rear exhaust fan. Do you think i should buy a rear exhaust fan as well? Or will the 3 exhaust fans on the top do it? I have a 5000d case
@@ZO-NEX0 Honestly its really hard to tell. I would get a 240mm radiator to ensure it fits. You also wont be loosing much performance and you will save some money. You can try the 280, and if it fits, great, if not you can easily send it back.

as far as I know these fans get connected to a hub for ARGB and they need to be connected to the motherboard in order to spin. is that correct? if so, do most motherboards have 6 sys_cpu fan sockets or how does it work?
Yes as was already said above by other commenter, but ill note they technically are not ran on/use ARGB. Its a specific gig Corsair has going on, although in the latest update for the iCue program (control hub app for corsair fans, RAM, AIO leds, and few other things like custom fan speed setup options, etc.) Has incorporated firmware for Asus/ARGB, Razer, Logitech (I believe) and few other brands that make components that have RBG. You can perfectly sync your lighting between all components now even if theyre ran differently usually. But yes, you can either buy the "dasiy chain" control hub from corsair, personally got mine when I bought my capellix AIO, it comes with a 6-1 hub. Has 12 ports though, 1 side is for your RGB plug on each fan/ehatever, the other side is just for the 2nd plug on each fan that provides its general fan power. If you have a MOBO with two USB 7 pin connectios, you could technically link 12 different things via 2 hubs. But other than that, it works fantastic, the iCue software that controls it is awesome as well with a LOT of choices for customization, as well as tuning your fans and even your AIO radiator and it's pump speed. TL;DR- Yes it uses a 6-1 adapter to connect to ur MOBO 7 pin USB slots. Provides RBG and power for up to 6 fans, or 6 components in general. The software is super sick, allows you to even tune your fan curves and AIO pump speeds (if u have an AIO). It also just received an update last week which now allows you to sync products across all companies; Corsair, ASUS/ARGB, Razer, Logitech, and most others. Highly recommend
Also, aside from my other comment, this is still somewhat relevant, but I also have the Corsair iCue 4000d ATX case (not the Airflow version that some have) and i can vouch that it stays cool as the other side of the pillow. If have it up once with a 12 day run time since shutdown, and temps were sub 40C the whole 12 days while streaming the whole time lmao. Corsiar Vengeance RAM as well, 4 sticks occupy my MOBO. DDR5 is insane. The RBG is just a bonus. I wont get into the Ryzen 5 7600x blowing any Intel CPU into deep space, as well as AMD/Radeon's GPU's vs. Nvidia... my Rx 6700 XT I bought brand new for $350 does 1440p at triple digit FPS easily on AAA titles.... even steady 55-60 FPS on 1440p Epic/Ultra WITH Ray Tracing on in Jedi Survivor. And yeah, I may have a mew AM5 Mobo and 4x16 GB of 5600mhz ddr5 RAM, AIO, 7000 series Ryzen, Gen 5 NVME m.2 drive, but yeah okay, awesome. Sure doesnt make me cool, being Im alllllmost in debt from inpulse buying it all..... but that GPU man.... SLEEPER. EVERYONE. I tell ALL my friend and people I know that are PC users or builders, the 6700 xt tuned right is out performing Radeon 7000 series GPU's right now in many cases. Not for long i suspect, but i mean.... $350 for it?? How can you pass that up.... BLOWS the 3060&3070ti both out of the water. Cant imaine next month when I swap in a Ryzen 9 7900x and Radeon 7900xtx how it will be... my current already made my mind up that id never but another colsole for as long as I live lmao. My PS4 is literally used as my door stop the past 6 months and is covered in dust..... lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
Dude do you get a fan hub with it too? I'm planning to buy this case along with 4 external 120mm fans and a 240mm aio, ill set the front 3 120 mm fans as intake, aio radiator on top as exhaust and one rear exhaust, but here comes the problem my motherboard has 4 fan headers, I will plug my pump header into 1 and the 2 radiator fans, now I'll be left with 1 header and 4 fans. What should I do?
Thank you for doing this, I didn’t fancy filling my office with a fog machine or dying from vaping too hard

when the fans cost more than the PC itself

That top front-intake fan is useless unless you have an AIO. The top exhaust fan is exhausting all the cool air coming in.
Are you suggesting to only put 2 front in-take fans then? One on the bottom, and middle rather than top?

what about 3fans on the front, 1 in the back and on top mount a 240mm AIO cooler?

A drop of scented oil on the top of each top fan and you also have an infuser. Maybe even grow some ferns up there.
