1:03 This is the meat I like to see in videos. Good lord they took everything out but the paint. Subbed.
😂 When I first read this comment I was like what meat 😳😳😳
Thanks dude. i got to 3:32 and decided to get a 4000d. And yes i agree, the prices are crazy! They dont make sense at all. However i know the AR fans dont come with a commander core though, but i think the 4000D rgb case does come with commander. I have previously built 4000d airflow and 5000d airflow. I like the way you can put a 360 rad on top in the 5000d. But All in all i think the 4000d is the best
great presenter, clear voice, crisp look, knowledgeable, smart - subscribed.
Thanks, I really appreciate a kind comment like this to help get me through the usual work day!
Great video, really clean!
Thanks, feel free to check out my other videos! 😜
Great quality video mate 💪
Thanks man, really appreciate this 💪
First time on your channel and I like it.
And I like you for being so kind!
My buddy gave me a 3000D for my new build for free, it is in white I added my own fans and SSD cardholder at the backplate, I personally think the white version is fine. The build looks great and keeps cool temps with my more silent fans, so I can't complain the diffused RGB at the front helps with the aesthetics and the case is small enough to have on the desk which is nice. However, the removed USB-C was a major fail, I can't use my USB-C hub with a SD Card reader for my photo editing which I just now realized is a major issue....
Underrated video, good stuff. Shame on Corsair for releasing something that barely only competes in the ultra budget market...for £99.
I picked up this case for $70 and it came with two non-RGB fans. I added two Corsair AF-120 elite fans to the front. After about a month the front center stock 120mm fan that came with the case all of a sudden started making a lot of noise. Going to replace it with another $20 AF-120 Elite. Now I have nearly as much $$ in fans as the case itself, which is weird.
Also wound up ordering two of the $5 2.5” SSD sleds as the case did not come with them.
Mainly picked this case because I need both of the two front USB. I thought I read the 4000D only has one (?).
Overall your review makes perfect sense!
Thank you
Down here in Mexico i got the 4000D Airflow for 80 USD which i thought was a fair price. I am planning on getting a black 3000D Airflow RGB for a different project because I kind of dig its look, but since its launch, prices for the 3000D have been dropping over here, so I will pay 80 USD for it with the 3 RGB fans and the iCue commander included which is a bargain for Corsair RGB fans plus the controller and a case in this market. I am very fond of my 4000D and its design so The rest of the missing features I will be 3D printing: the accesory tray which is mounted in the back of the motherboard and the 2.5 SSD mounts. Also the side panel clips which secure them. Unfortunately I have yet to find the files for the rest missing pieces like the cable routing channel and the cable front cover, but those are cheap through Corsair's web site. All in all I would say I hear you, my main concern with the case was the price at launch but nowadays for what it costs, fans and controller included and the 3D print solution I will be implementing it's a no brainer for me. Great video, keep that excelent work up.
thanks for this video! you saved me from a purchase, I was about to get this for my Ryzen build. On the contrary, I will take the Swedish Fractal Design, it has everything I look for in a case although the fans do not have PWM.
"gone" 😂😂😂 great video
Just bought a 3000d for 70$ cad to replace my cardbide 04 thats going to be a pretty good upgrade for the price
I found the non-rgb version for £67, and in my country the 4000d (also without fans) is around £97. I don't care much about construction experience, and its features are very similar to my Aerocool Bolt. I like the aesthetics, and the airflow, but I don't want to buy it if I have problems such as cables with extreme angles, little space for a GPU or difficulties to fit a 360mm aio. Is it a good buy for that price? (also here is not available the Lian Li, the H5 is around £88, the TD500 for £85 and the Fractal Desing for £120)
Hi, unfortunately I'd already bought the 3000d before finding this video, even more unfortunately the glass panel smashed and I can't find a replacement, will the 4000d glass panel fit ok? Thanks
They need a dual chamber airflow cas to replace the 280-680x.
That would be awesome, it's been so long
I bought Cougar DuoFace Pro RGB instead Corsair 4000D, and I'm lucky with it
The only + with this case is that you can put Artic Liquid Freezer ii 360 in front with the biggest 4090 card .
Every millimeter counts lol
@@TechHunterOfficial yep,I already have this case and the 4000D , better overall case and better quality the 4000D .
@xxgrcxx1805 4000D really impressed, this was such a disappointment
Ok, this comment freaked me out. I just bought the 3000D case along with a 4070ti two days ago. I hadn't built a new PC in over 10 years so I didn't realize you have to purchase the CPU heat sink separately. I spent all day today going down the rabbit hole of air vs aio. Low and behold, I ordered the Liquid Freezer ii 360 about 5 minutes ago. Weird.
Im that guy who ripped the front air filter out, thinking it was easily put back on. Its so hard putting it back on and it will never be the same as it was before :/
I bought this one but i have problems with the front panel fans, the top one goes full speed all the time and sounds alot. How do i change this?
Did you fix it? I think I can help you
I'm having trouble working out where to plug the rgb cable to an ASUS prime B450M-A II.
The SPDIF Out is the only place it seemed to fit, but a quick Google search told me not to.
Could you give me any advice?
My motherboard has an RGB header, but it's 4-pin, and the rgb cable only has 3 exposed pins and no obvious up.
3000d shouldve been an mATX case exclusively the way the 2000d is a (big) itx case. For ATX theres simply no reason to exist. 3000d shouldve been smaller and way more compact to compete with fractals meshify 2 mini and a couple others.
I agree, this ATX version serves no purpose other than for OEM builders. Probably why so few people have covered and why Corsair didn't promote it
I am currently in a dilemma between choosing this case and h510 flow. Currently where i live (Turkey) 3000D is £62 and h510 Flow is £75.They are both 2 fan versions btw. I wanted 4000D but its £120. Which do you think is better between these two cases (3000D and H510 Flow)?
What about the newer H5 Flow. Is that not available?
@@TechHunterOfficial Bit pricey at £85 compared to the £62 I'm afraid. Loved that review also btw.
@@HakanVIG There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the 3000D, it's just the pricing seems a bit off. It's easy to work in, has good compatibility and will likely offer more than other cases around £62. It could just get a bit fiddly with cables as the cable management is pretty poor. But airflow is solid and it looks good too
@@TechHunterOfficial Alright I will consider getting 3000D. Thank you.
Wonder how the gpu would be with the gpu fans installed
I'd assume slightly lower temps, but nothing crazy. Their air supply is limited by all the PSU cables and the PSU itself
Thanks for this. I thought the 3000D was the same as the 4000D at first. I was hoping it would be a 4000D but an mATX version as I'm really hoping for a decent mATX case. Didn't realize this was a cut down 4000D. It's on a decent sale currently for about $70cad/$50usd/£42. locally for the non-rgb version, which is less than half the cost of a 4000D. I guess at that price it isn't too bad? Not having the usb-c and the fronst mesh panel being completely different seems like a let down though. If the dust filter is non removable, it's probably like the dust filter that was on my mattresxx 55 mesh which I ripped out as the perforated mesh is more than enough to filter out coarse dust. I want a nice white case, and even though it's not mATX, I guess the Lancool 216 is still the better option despite costing quite a bit more.
I completely agree, it's not a bad case. It's just been set at a bad price. So many people have commented wishing it was mATX too!
Prices are exactly what Corsair wants. They want to make the included RGB fans look as appealing as possible so you are then locked into their RGB ecosystem primed to buy more Corsair add ons.
Is there any controller in this case? I bought this case and ı cant control my fans (there is not any rgb port on my motherboard )
There is no controller included in the case at all. You might be able to find a third party one online
hey is this case a good option for 68 euro???? with rgb fans brand new
I think for 70 euro including the fans it's a decent price!
This should’ve been a vs video more than anything. It didn’t really give me a good look at the 3000D positives just how it shadows in comparison to Corsairs 4000D. Well it’s a cut down variant that cost less I mean what do you expect… otherwise the video was informative of your opinions.
The thing is the basic version, doesn't cost less. It's the same price, which is why I made so many comparisons to the 4000D. The fans are the only positive and you can just put them in a 4000D and have a better experience
What more you want for $69.00.
did the rgb fans come already plugged in to the controller then I have to plug to the motherboard or the psu
The rgb fans aren't connected to anything. No controller or splitter
@@TechHunterOfficial where do I connect it to
Corsair 3000D RGB AIRFLOW Mid-Tower PC Case - White
Careful with this case... 3months from new, fitted for a customer in October 2023... the power button SUNK!
I have shown it's a soft press etc... but THIS IS A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF CHEAP! Photos on Linus Tech Tips!
Can I use the be quiet power 10 power supply for the case. Does it fit in terms of size?
I'm not sure, double check the dimensions on the Bequiet website then compare it with this case ☺
Far too fast a delivery concerning the fans and all the alternatives. Ended up being meaningless white noise. Good job I had decided at this point that I just didn't care about getting any of these case variations.
I got it for 50€ and for that price its totally fine;
I completely agree 👍🏼
Only thing i like about the case is the size
It's the same size as a lot of cases though 🤔
It just feels like the 3000D isn't needed. Crowded the product stack for really no reason it feels like.
They should have just updated the 4000D with new fans and called it a V2, job done.
3000d should been matx version od 4000d imho
@@TechHunterOfficial Yes a 4000D version 2 with 3x 140mm PWM included and an updated case front IO with 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (like the 3000D) would have been nice.
This was what I expected them to do, just shrink the 4000D slightly and they will have a top choice for mATX. Big miss by Corsair. @@mazurcoletsplays
thanks, i almsot bought this
Be Quiet 500FX
That is lined up for the upcoming weeks
really glad i saw this, was about to consider this and yeah, glad i didnt.
Glad I managed to get my message across 😁
incomplete like an EA game, lol nice
I'm glad someone picked up on that. I was proud of myself for that one 😂
This is such a dissappointment
At least on Australian retail PC store websites, it costs slightly more than the 4000D which confuses the heck outta me.
Exactly! If the 4000D didn't exist it would look better. But it does and it is so much better quality
4000d glass side panel is prone to shattering. Be careful!
Sorry but such a snob. I upgraded to the 3000D (Non RGB shite) from an old Corsair 200 case. And it suits my needs perfectly. My 240mm aio fits in the top with massive amounts of spare space. Fits my extra ssd and hdd in the drive bays. Plus tons of room for my GPU. Also hides 90% of my cabling (Why would I need more...) And the front none removable mesh is no real deal breaker. The front comes off really easily to clean it anyway. The only slight little niggle for me would be the usb ports being on the top and not front facing. But certainly not a deal breaker. What these people don't understand, and the fact that they get products thrown at them for free to test/review. Is that sensible people such as myself buy products to fit my own purpose. Not to be brainwashed in to buying something overpriced and over the top for what I need.
I wasn't sent this for free, I bought this solely for this video then sold it second hand at a discounted price. I'm guessing you didn't watch the full video, I said it's not a bad product, just badly priced. It is also exactly the same chassis as the 4000D with so many features removed for the exact same price.
Sounds like you have buyers remorse ; ) If you havent already built with a 4000D, like i have in the past, then you really don't know what you are missing out on! This is blatantly a budget version, with some RGB fans to hype you up. Live and learn! ; )
100%
Its sad and such a waste, this case looks good. But they cut through soo many corners. Sad
Especially when it's the same price 😒!
my interest: gone 🤣
I'm sorry for ruining it for you haha
This is a disappointment, the case I mean...
It is, especially compared to the 4000D
Fractal Focus G left the chat.
I was looking at possibly reviewing the focus 2 soon
…….
that inside near the front fans is so ugly .. wish they would have covered the holes or something .. even a plastic bit here would have helped it look not so unfinished ... surprised that the fans hook to the motherboard .. that doesn't make any sence .. surprised corsair didn't terminate it in a usb .. so they could force you to use their software
I found this case just offered so many more questions than answers. It's clear that it's all about cutting costs and maximising profit
GONE!!!
Where you gone?
GONE
?
My god... 3000D needed to be mATX 4000d...
It definitely needed to do something different and what they did isn't great.
The only way people are actually buying this is for the RGB and it’s from Corsair
3000D shouldn't exist, and should have been priced around £55 or something - Purchased my 4000D Airflow for £78.99 in June 2021, this price gouging is ridiculous. A lot of companies have started doing it (in and outside the tech world)
