I just used the vvivid vinyl for the first time epoxy fiber great material. Heard alot of people saying its hard to work with. Use a heat gun pre streach post heat no problem. Thanks for all your videos.
A lot of people think that you need to heat the wrap or decals to remove them but the best way in my experience is always on the cooler side. Too hot and the adhesive softens and wants to stay behind. I had a customer I did a decal job for and they removed them with heat in the sun and it left tons of goo behind. Was a mess to clean up to get the new graphics on. Goo gone isn't cheap and comes in small bottles! lol
So awesome seeing it removed without any trouble!!! It was a big headache for us but it's really cool seeing it done without any complications and with perfect paint underneath! We removed ours under our normal removal conditions outside, in not to much heat, but it was warm, maybe just to warm based on the info in your video here! We wanted to test the material that we don't usually use ourselves and had different results, so maybe we just need to do it again under the same conditions you did? Thanks for educating the wrap world on this one! We held off from posting our full video about it on youtube because we thought maybe we did something wrong and we needed to try again. We might post it anyways as a comparison and try again?
I removed my orange chrome on the BMW and itleft adhesive all over but it was also around 85 degrees. So this video makes alot of sense now! Might give it another shot!
This is how companies should be, not jump to conclusions and bash on other companies without considering variables. This mindset isn’t just good for business, it’s a good mindset in life. Both premium and Ck having different experiences would is an analogy for perspective.
Nice to see how easy it is with Vvivid. Whereby the question arises if the film does not solve by itself if a small piece is solved somewhere. I'm from Germany. However, I do not get a slide from Vvivid. You make a great job.
I think premium usually lets a car cook out in the sun before removing a wrap. Must’ve been the heat that made the difference. It almost came off too easy in this video though. Crazy
Quick question. Did the car had ceramic coating applied to the pain before the wrap? If so vinyl will come very easy as on the video. I have wrapped my car after applying coating and removed wrap with one hand. Huge difference from where there would be no coating on the paint.
Next time you have a door and fender that contact each other like that just open the door all the way open and grab the fender edge at contact point and gently pull out then close door and watch to see if it is contacting each other if so open door again and pull the fender edge out some more
Im wrapping my mini with vvivid wrap. It will be my first time wrapping a car. I want to wrap my plastic fender flares and side skirts. What do i need to do? I was thinking of sanding and painting but if i dont have to i rather not. Only using vvivid products btw
I have a 1973 Boler Fiberglass camper trailer, how long does a wrap last ? If I had to re-wrap every five years and it cost $1000 to wrap I think it would be worth it. Silver would reflect the sun and make it look like an Airstream.
Was that car Ceramic coated BEFORE the wrap was put on? I mean I'm sure that in the right temp, that wrap will come off clean, but it just seems to have almost no tack at all.
Hi, I was wondering if you could do a video showing how to repair small stone chips or nicks on vinyl wrap without having to remove an entire panel. I tried using a paper hole punch to make a small round vinyl patch but the patch is not seamless. Its not bad but its raised where the patch is and you see the edges of the wrap which is a different colour. Is there a way to do this seamless?
Does the temperature matter only while you are removing it? Do all kinds of wraps hold up good in higher temperature like inland LA area where it constantly gets 100 or over?
Hey Christian can you ask vvivid to produce a roll of Rose gold chrome for you and I’ll buy it off you? I figure they’d make it for you because you’re the face of vvivd
Would I be able to apply vivid wrap using light mist of water on the surface and the vinyl to avoid fucking up the wrap since It will be my first attempt at wrapping my own hood
Savage Wrapz No I didn't either. I'm just wondering if/when wraps leave adhesive behind is it a really big chore or is it just a bit labor intensive? I've removed bumper sticker adhesive with Plexus and rag in just a few treatments.
Hi, New to this channel. I would love it if you had links under the video of your shop and other info for noobs, like me, who are interested in this type of work being done. Thanks.
One of our installer customer did a Chrome wrap for a Lexus in NYC and it got vandalized because it looked so nice.
