I so appreciate all the great stuff Headspace brings to this YT channel. What I’ve never understood is why so many meditations and visualizations focus so much on what we don’t want to focus on: We can’t stop overwhelm by focusing on it. The way to stop it is to focus on the breath, on relaxation, focusing on what we WANT. Changing our focus to what it is we want more of. Our sub-conscience/the universe does not recognize negation “I don’t want overwhelm” brings more of it. “I don’t want to feel tense” or “I release all tension and negativity” is quite the opposite of “I embrace all that’s positive in my life and am relaxed”. Watch your language and your what you’re focusing our/your attention on. It makes all the difference.
I love Andy's voice. He was the one who got me meditating daily in 2021 and whilst I've enjoyed many voices and channels his voice is one of the most soothing to me.
Just followed along with this video before I take my exam that was stressing me out earlier. Feeling so much clearer in my head. Thank you Headspace and Andy! 🙌🏻

There is some people who can't do visualization with ease because of how their brains work. I'm one of them too. Now I train myself to focus more on the sensations
I wish I had this sooner I'm a bookworm but reading books that I enjoy always makes me overwhelmed For context I like books that are exiting and engaging and just overall really action packed but it sometimes is just too much and I have to close the book physically just to stop from skipping ahead to a less stressful place in the story

I’m not very good at visualization, so I just tried to pay attention to the different parts of my body.
