Rod & Pollocks Fishing haha that’s fair play dude haha all the best ✌️ I gave you a little shoutout on my community post so may bring some viewers over 👍
Mick you look a lot younger without the beard lad . Well done on the fish Tom, good un. As long as you’re not babysitting big Jay you’ll get plenty fish. That lad is a jinx 😂
Cheers mate. I wasn’t sure if it was still a paternoster with it not having the terminal tackle etc, cheers for that. It’s ideal for the rocks, less to snag up or lose. -Tom
@@rodpollocksfishing9433 haha we had a couple of polish guys in our club and I asked how they had done on a pikeing trip the day before and Marius said he had got a 10 pounder and how did Arick do I said to him and he said, Arick was just a Spectator so that is where Spectator comes from
Great video as normal lads i cant fish for a few months now i was out last week and snapped my conofex and can't be fixed so need to wait till I get cash together got my eyes on a Ron Thompson Excalibur
Nothing worse than snapping a rod! Do you mean the Ron thompson accelerator? They are a very stiff rod, great for rocks, not ideal for anything else. -Tom
@@rodpollocksfishing9433 lol yes tom thats the one and I do all my fishing off the rocks so that's ideally the best one for the job i dont mind if second hand but can't find one for the love off money or even a new one
Hi Mike/Tom I've been out of the fishing game for years so forgot most things but looking to get back into it as a full time hobby if I could ask your advice on an ideal setup for me starting back i.e. Rod& reel, I'm looking to fish some of the Marks you both fish at in your videos (loving them by the way please keep them coming great job you 2), so yeah just some advice would be brilliant, I must be honest I've always had problems with using multipliers as always seem to birdnest them, is there a failsafe in modern reels to eliminate this or is it just me being crap at it haha Many thanks Alistair
Cheers for watching mate. To get yourself back into fishing I would go for a sonik sks black rod, they are well priced and a lot better than most budget rods. If you are unsure about using a multiplier straight away, a lot of folk have been buying LJ9000 fixed spool reels, and putting braid on. If you are buying new the whole setup with cost around £150. There aren’t really any failsafe multipliers that I know of, you can tighten them and slow them down to stop nests but that defeats the object of having one. Thanks for watching. -Tom
Thanks for this mate ill take your advice on this setup, I'm on looking now for deals also I might buy a cheap multiplier along side for practice purposes as I would like to be able to use one going forward Again much appreciated your input and thanks for taking the time in getting back to me Alistair
You've got a good formula guys, it was entertaining with only on fish caught. BTW I moved to a fixed spool with braid set up a while ago, I would never, ever go back to a multi with mono.
Here's one... You've done salted rag... How about salted mackerel? Sitting on a kayak messing with a mackerel fillet, it soon turns to mush! Would salting firm the meat making it easier to handle - in a small space like on a kayak?
No wonder ya busting rods !! High sticking like you did with that fish at 7.30 mins is the kiss of death !! it puts a column load on the carbon in the tip. Much better off keeping the rod lower so that the load is transferred to the butt section. Nice fish though, well done.
Mick, looks like that you are been outfished by Tom nearly every time if I am not mistaken. You both are using similar baits. I think the answer is not in the beard but in male and female hormones. Next fishing session just try this: Do not touch the bait with your bare skin in any case, use disposable gloves. I think it will improve your success rate against Tom. Tight Lines
@@rodpollocksfishing9433 yes, looks like Tom is a women in a beard disguise....lol, no offence Tom. A research has been done years ago in the fresh water fishing should apply for sea fishing as well.
Thank you for putting me in boys keep it up , getting better and better no stopping you now
No worries Tom! Cheers! -Tom
I want to go fishing with my Mother in law, where' the best place to stick the hook? Will bait elastic keep her on the hook?

Another great video lads, lovely looking fish Tom... that rig you knocked up is a paternoster rig... basic, but very underestimated imo.

@@rodpollocksfishing9433 paternoster rig with dropper loop I believe is the technical term.. but paternoster is much easier to say 😁
What is bluey?

Basic single hook paternoster like yours is as good as anything on the rocks.
