    Appretiate the effort put into this video. I had fun watching seeing some of your games and recaps. But don’t try too hard.
    Your wins and loses are yours and yours alone, we’re just riding along. Don’t feel pressured to do content if you don’t feel like it, and don’t feel like you’re dissapointing people if you win/lose. It’s too much pressure to handle and sometimes I feel you might feel that way. It’d be heartbreaking if it affects your competitive life. Good luck, you really improved this tourney! 🎉

    Wow, the first game in 6 months where I saw a move that was good while watching your games! I think that's cause I am forced to look for draws a lot, 10 minute games do that to me... Every one of your recaps is a lesson in humility for me, so much to learn! This is so much fun though! I'm so happy you got to travel to Menorca to play, it's a good thing to get some warm sun in the middle of winter! I'm in sunny San Jose, California and today we have one of our rare snow capped mountain days. Was thinking a different kind of video for you might be to play chess with some of the other UA-cam channels, i.e. Ran Sailing, La Vagabond, ... Would make for some fun mix ups...

    My admiration goes out to you for your self-reflection and honesty as I knew the recap for this game was a tough one for you to make. The lesson I'll try to take away is to not take any "drawish" position for granted and grind until either the computer says "draw" for online or hand shakes done if in person game. Glad to see you've bounced back. Proof is seeing "The Anna" move at 0:03 😉.
    P.S. Another phrase for "analysis paralysis" is "paralysis by analysis". The same meaning.

    7:59 Nice. Anna dug out the foundation of his attack before he could launch it.

    • @TechnoMageB5
      @TechnoMageB5 Місяць тому

      No. Respectfully, don't necessarily "just take the draw". If your opponent made 2 mistakes instead of you, you would have won.
      To Live is To Risk. Life and Chess have this in common.
      You chose to keep the game alive, looking for the win. When you do that, in a game like this, you'll draw many, you'll lose a few, you'll win a few.
      Wayne Gretzky, one of the greatest hockey players to have played his game, said it best: "You miss 100% of the shots you never take."
      The only difference is the confidence you have in your own ability to play the game.
      Don't let one error in judgment undermine your confidence in your ability to play the game.
      If you declined a draw offer in a game you were losing, that would be a different story. You went after what appeared to be a chance at winning. Never regret that. In any game, unless you have a good reason to, follow through when you see an opportunity.
      Salut.

    The reason it was a losing positions was due to the fact the knight can now enter the fray and be able to push away the king, hence losing the pawns it's defending. Knight d4 - Bishop d7 getting the white king to F4 which secures the spot for the knight to land on f5 and push away the king.

    Going for the draw is the best lesson you've learned from this game. Just check how often top players end a game with a draw, and then check your own number. They know that if there's no clear perspective for a win, a draw is the best way out of that game.

    Congrats and rejoice. Methinks all too often you are a bit hard on yourself when things don't go well. This is proof that it is the struggle, the conflict, the contest in which the champion is forged and refined. You will prevail in all of your pursuits, the only thing that will prevent that is when you give up. Patience and Persistence, the two keys to all success. I am happy for you, the rewards are there to be had, just keep on stroking...

    Good attitude. You played very well to get to that position, and were starting to get winning chances before Rc4. Correct analysis after the game will lead to correct analysis during the game. Go out and beat them.
