It would mean a lot to me if you checked out my new channel! :D / babygotlobsterback One in a series. Boss Battle Theme music for the nearly Invincible Tubba Blubba!

Its been a while since I played Tubbs, but I forgot the logic behind that. Was it that, without his heart, he can take a lot of hits and not die? Like, his body is just a soulless vessel that can take hits? xD
This boss scared me so much as a kid. The sections where he chased you when he was invincible made me so nervous! Favourite boss in the game and favourite soundtrack made this whole level unforgettable
This boss theme is my favorite in the entire series. MANY others are also ones I like, but this is my favorite. As for the Boss, I only remember my reaction to fighting him the first time. "Pfft! Yeah, we'll see just how "Invincible" this guy is!" *Whacks with hammer* 0 Dmg. "... Okay, on to plan B... RUUUUUN!!!" Heh... good times... I'll probably replay this game again soon (Playing all 3 in Reverse Chronological Order... Onto the second game currently).
All I remember about Tubba Blubba is screaming, running, trembling in fear, and a chill down my spine from the epicness of this song when I entered combat with him.
i am Tubba Blubba! i am going to squish YOU! So be afraid! i am coming for-yo-u! i am better than everything! i am a big monster of frightening! so be afraid!!! i am coming for you NOW! *organs* Repeat
My guess is that Bowser put a spell that put all of Tubba's life force into his heart and made it seperate from the body. That room you fight the heart in is like a Control Center for the lifeless shell. He's invincible because there's no life force to drain.
You, sir, deserve a seal of approval for best comment ever. Oh, and this music is just awesome. Feels pretty nostalgic, even though this game's only about 8 years old... Yeah, the memories.
this game had some of the best bosses ever. tubba blubba was funny general guy was obviously Hitler (don't tell me I'm the only one whosaw his tank and wanted to paint a swastica on the side, and the teenage mutan- err... the "koopa Bros." were all AWESOME this game WAS in fact my childhood
Yeah. In the game, his heart accidentally tells you what his weak point is, and after you beat him, he says: "I'm actually a big softie. I don't wanna be invincible if it means I have to fight guys like you!"
Man, it would be so cool that when you figth tubba the music has some parts of the instrumentation, then with the hearth another And then when you figth Both combined it sounded this one.
Trojan (Mecha) Bowser, Tutankoopa (Koopakahmen), Tubba Blubba (The Big Baby), General Guy (Sir Shy), Lava Piranha (Molten Plant), Huff N. Puff (The Windbag), Crystal King (The Spoiled Royal One), Kammy (Disco Grandma), and Bowser (King Koopa).
Oh my God. I remember when I was like 7 and this fat koopa thing that was hired by bowser was chasing me and my heart was beating like CRAZY. I WAS SO SCARED. PLEASE DON'T EAT ME I'M NOT A GHOST, I'M NOT A GHOST! *shivers* uhh... that was one bad-good memory. I was so glad when I could leave that castle and forest forever. but then: "GOSH DARN IT I FORGOT TO PICK UP A BADGE THAT WAS IN THE FOREST!" *walks in, scary forest music plays, shudders*
Fighting ol' Blubba was probably my favorite boss because you had to sneak around in that big house of his before even battling him. It was more of a puzzle than just pure fighting.
Not exactly, Tubba is invinicible because he separated his heart from his body. Grubba just uses the crystal star to stay young and super buff. at least that's what I remember
I agree to an extent. Having him chase you down like an unstoppable force only to have you turn around and make a fool of him in a couple shots. It had more potential.
To make the boss battle a lot more difficult, they should've did what they did in Yoshi's Island, make Tubba Blubba eat Mario and then take on his invincible heart, that would've made a great plot twist.
I just finished beating the boss from chapter 3 of the thousand year door, and I'd never realized just how similar this guy looks to him! lol (well to me, anyways XD)
I remember it was August of 2002. My buddy somehow got around where I was in paper mario on a race to beat the game. And I'll never forget watching him somehow destroy this level, and the thing that stood out to me the most was this theme. My favorite boss and story in the original game. Only one that came close other then this In the game was the crystal king
That's actually not as hard as you would think, I have beaten Tubba's heart with Mario only and no items. The key is shrink stomp, Tubba's heart is highly susceptible to shrink and you can status lock him by just continuously shrink stomping him.
I remember I always used to be so scared of him when he chased after me. When I went back to see if he was still there, I screamed and tapped the Z button to death.
Brings back memories... I tried so hard to beat the heart, and just barely survived. Then I needed to fight them combined, and I lost all the HP I still had in one attack. Ah, the nogilista.

Apparently, Tubba Blubba and the Boos used to live together, but TB was always a wimpy coward, and the Boos liked to scare him because of it. So he asked Bowser to make him invincible and super strong so he wouldn't be picked on anymore, in exchange of guarding Skolar. The problem is that he became revengeful and stuff and started eating the Boos.

@TheBlackknight720 I'd also shoot in the final boss fights from Super Mario 64 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It was more about the entrance (particularly Giant Bowser) and it did more of an andrenaline pump but I was legitimately scared when they first appeared in their respective games.
@seanyyysy But ya know what i never got....Hes invincable without his heart WTF is that? Then when you kill his heart he has 10HP left. I mean how exactly is it a test of endurence if he didnt have his heart to begin with? Well I guess this is what you get for trying to add logic into mario games

My current paper mario playthrough reminded me just how awesome the boss battle music is in this game.

Tubba Blubba's Heart was a tough boss. However, the fight with Tubba Blubba's body that immediately follows is the easiest boss in the game.

Yeah. In the game, his heart accidentally tells you what his weak point is, and after you beat him, he says: "I'm actually a big softie. I don't wanna be invincible if it means I have to fight guys like you!"
