“You got the right one baby, uh huh uh huh” This makes you think of Rookie of the Year/Pepsi commercial, it makes me think of “The Buttercream Gang”! 😂
Hey Rick, watching your videos from the UK and can't get enough of them! My favourite series is the 10 dollar game collection but love seeing any videos of you hunting etc. find it really interesting because we just don't have huge thrift stores like that over here. Keep up the good work man 👌
SO much nostalgia in this video! Thanks as always for sharing your fun thrift shop hunts with us, Retro Rick! As nostalgic as your video game hunts are, adding toys to the mix like this is so enjoyable! I too LOVED the Changeables from McDonald's growing up. I am proud to say that I still have almost all of them too. McDonald's truly produced some incredible days back in the '80s. The Showbiz lunch box brought back memories too btw. I remember that commercial!!
Alf was so popular, and I too sat and watched, but most small cities and counties only had antennas up until 90,91 and my childhood home was w/o cable til 95 , but A.L.F.( Artificial life form)
at my thrift store this morning I went right to the games case at opening and there was absolutely nothing new, about twenty minutes later I noticed a cart full of books that hadn't been shelved yet and right on the bottom was a bin of games. not a single other person had noticed it. there were ten copies of wii sport resort ( weird but apparently one of the sorters wanted to see how many he could keep aside before being told to put them out) 1.99 each. two copies of super Mario bros wii, Mario galaxy 1 and 2 and smash melee. it wasn't a bad morning
That baby gonzo was part of my "ruling class elite" when I was a kid. He hung out with Cobra Commander and Orko and the ywllow MASK guy with the green bike and they made all the important decisions for all the other toys. Imagine baby Gonzo being the one to decide if the Sectaurs and the Visionaries can have an alliance against the TMNT Threat!
Love the 90s happy meal toys, I had all the happy meal toys from the 90s up til 3 years ago and I wish I would keep them now cause they was a big part of my childhood growing up
I love wandering around those antique malls looking for deals. It's always awesome when you find something random, much less 2 Mario Kart Wii's for $5 combined!!! Luck is on your side my friend.
Oh cool Showbiz lunchbox! We both have memories of that place--slightly terrifying, but memories all the same. Adore the McDonald's changeables. We've managed to find a few--not so much the dinosaur ones though. That's kinda neat on the old yearbooks. We see these from time to time and consider grabbing certain ones. We definitely approve the X-Men VHS find--nice! Oh man, watched soooo much ALF--I bet anything I probably could not even stomach it today. ha ha
Dude! I had that ALF book as a kid, that is crazy. I also had a relative that had that McDonalds flashlight too. I bet almost every home had one of those at one point lol. I remember those changeables in the happy meals, I know for sure I had the Hamburger one. I also had that Gonzo. Man this episode was a total nostalgic trip thank you!
Awesome pickups. Loved the Rookie of the year clip you put in. Always enjoy your videos. The editing is great, and man that intro is one of the best I’ve seen on UA-cam!! Thanks for the upload. Keep up the hard work.
Oh man... If you go back that Flea Market grab me that Moon Patrol Atari game. When I was a kid across the street from my apartment complex was our local convenience store here in Indiana and in the back by all the soda were 2 arcade games. Mario Brother and Moon Patrol. Now I played Mario whenever I could but I was a tiny kid and there would be a line 3-4 ppl long at any given time for Mario so, Moon Patrol was always good to go. And I fell in love with this game. I would so buy it from ya if it's still there!
Really enjoy watching your videos, I'm a reseller myself so seeing what your looking for gives me knowledge on what I can also sell. Allot of these things your looking for, I sell right now though, I sell VHS, CD's, Cassette Tapes, videogames, clothing, sneakers, and of course vintage toys. My wife can't believe the things that sell, she swears it's a fluke, despite the fact that most of my items always sell.
That Gonzo is from the 80’s Muppet Babies McDonalds happy meal collection, I had Kermit, Fozzy, Gonzo, and Ms Piggy which my parents got from a flea market
The difference with pops is that they went after acquiring so many ips. People will always like superheroes, pop culture, and musicians. I agree with you that there’s too many and it’s hard to find value but the ones that are worth money have astronomical price points.
Sleeping on that froger game, go's for 50 usd and didn't even look at takenoko. Great board game my wife just got it for $70 cad. Need to keep an eye out for board games. Great video. Looking forward to next one
Fun Trivia; The founder of Atari Nolan Bushnell is the fellow that started Showbiz Pizza. He wanted to create a place where kids could play video games because arcades at the time could be sketchy.
Big difference between Beanie Babies and Funko pops are that unlike beanies, Funko are based on established franchises and characters. Many people associate childhood and memories to these titles, many times those shows/movies don't have ANY memorabilia for them. My dad said the same thing till I showed him his childhood HR Pufnstuff funko pop then it clicked. He hasn't seen toys or anything of HR till this moment then it made sense
Your collection is wild. Thank you for your videos. Stay safe. Oh I'm from the u.k and can Never find any Back to the future stuff for my son, there seems to be alot more over there then here. Gutted lol. Peace.
The first run of My Little Pony vinyl figures were at least three times the size of the ones you saw. They can go for ok money. Better than those little ones. I gave away so many of my old VHS. We had the X-Men series here. I have so many old toys in this house. I inherited so many and i have all the 80's and 90's stuff form the nephews. I put some online recently as the pvc vinyl figures made by Bully Germany are worth money.
damn that moment you found mario cart in the wii sport resorts box was like dejavou, my dad collects retro games and he got back home with a box with wii sport resort and he was like "hey, lok what i found at the near by thrift shop" and than he opend the box, and had mariocart inside he was so happy that day XD everyone always puts their games back in the wrong boxes hahah
Dude! You put back a TRS-80 game? That is a pretty rare computer! I can’ t even find the game listed on pricecharting...i am very nostalgic for old floppies, being very young at that era. Playing video games on floppy with my older nephews and friends. They all owned a C64 or C128 (on cassette or floppies). What a time, waiting a minute to load a game. (Happens actually even on the PS4, not much though)
What a store!! Man thats some great items, really brings you back. Also, thanks for making my Thanksgiving ! Getting a shoutout helps a ton! Lol. Great footage like always bud. Scoop many barbies.
The reason why pops will never be the next beanie babies is bc pops are licensed brands made into bobble heads or vinyl figures. With that being said these different properties all have they’re own fans and even older collectors will go back to get older pops
I like the clips you play of old commercials . Thanks 🙏🏼
Love em
SAME
Same! 😁
“You got the right one baby, uh huh uh huh”
This makes you think of Rookie of the Year/Pepsi commercial, it makes me think of “The Buttercream Gang”! 😂
I was born in '84, those McChangeables are the first happy meal toy I remember begging my parents to go get and I think I had the whole set
Oh man, I had one of those clear '90s' phones when I was a kid! Lit up when it rang and everything. Thanks for the nostalgia trip
i almost thought about getting it hahaha
I got that EXACT phone for $1 a couple months ago. Hit up garage sales
I still have mine!
@@retrorick should have man, some of those phones go for decent money

Hey Rick, watching your videos from the UK and can't get enough of them! My favourite series is the 10 dollar game collection but love seeing any videos of you hunting etc. find it really interesting because we just don't have huge thrift stores like that over here. Keep up the good work man 👌
I actually had that Alf mission to Mars as a kid, thanks for bringing back those memories for me. Another great video!

I had the whole series of those metal Sesame Street cars ! I was also born in 87 = ) ,lots of love from Australia
Just when I think I couldn't be more envious of Rick, another video comes out! LOL love it, thanks man!!!! Alf memories are ALWAYS great

You definitely hit me with the showbiz nostalgia.
Wow. Those Happy Meal toys brought back some very happy nostalgic memories.
Am one of the newer people I grew up with the wii so most things I don't get much but I like ya videos

i love vintage barbies and cameras omg
“Remember ALF? He’s BACK, in POG form.”
Off topic, but have you seen the art work/design on Spindletap Brewery Heavy Hands IPA?
alf is the man! I have not
Had no idea you lived in Arkansas as well lol I pass by the U of A everyday on my way to work XD hello fellow Arkansas collector!
I love wandering around those antique malls looking for deals. It's always awesome when you find something random, much less 2 Mario Kart Wii's for $5 combined!!! Luck is on your side my friend.
for sure! That was repeat footage..youve seen that before but this was the full retro hunt episode
@@retrorick that explains it, I thought I was having deja vu.
McChangeables!!!!!!!! My god, even worked at Mcdons as a teenager, those were the best happy meal toys ever.
Thats place is awesome! So much cool stuff 😍
it was amazing...i cant wait to go back!
The Undercover Kid. My cousins had movie that along with Just Like Dad and Rent-a-Kid. I remember them getting them all at once.
Oh cool Showbiz lunchbox! We both have memories of that place--slightly terrifying, but memories all the same.

100% right about Pops being the next beanie babies. Great video!
Idk I never sold a beanie baby for 250$ before....pops on the other hand....I've sold plenty
@@lawfullucyless6715 that's awesome. I've just seen too many collectable bubbles burst to feel secure long term on pops.
Great video, I had that Gonzo growing up. He's a McDonald toy as well and does go with that green tricycle.
The Showbiz lunch box....dude. That's crazy.
I collect pops and have over 900 but I agree with you, pops are the next beanie baby
👍
The coolest thing i saw is the showbiz lunchbox. Im a huge CEC fan and really liked that showbiz lunchbox.

I had the same McDonald's toys growing up lol awsome. I found them at my parents house and they brought back memories! Now my son plays with them
Showbiz Pizza was my favorite place.
That Gonzo is from the 80’s Muppet Babies McDonalds happy meal collection, I had Kermit, Fozzy, Gonzo, and Ms Piggy which my parents got from a flea market

Love how you put up adverts to go with the toy
You are so right about Pops being the next BB
I’ve been here a lot I used to live really close. Such a great place I may go again and see if they have any retro consoles
That Seasame Street lunchbox looked sick!
Awesome video! Love the Alf book!

Great pick ups bro!!!!
Thank you Teddy! Some pretty cool finds
Such an awesome video Rick, cheers man!
Kangaroo on Atari was my favorite before we got an NES. They had the arcade at the roller rink too!
oh nice! I need to watch some gameplay of it
Check those yearbooks for celebrities. I found one here in Pennsylvania and Mr. Rogers was in it.
mcdonalds happy meal toys are a pretty cheap and easy thing for collectors to get into. I think you can buy tons of sealed toys for only 75cents-$2
I can’t believe the condition of that Showbiz Pizza Place thermos 😮
I used to have a bunch of those Garfield cups!
my mothers family was from arkansas ive also been there a few times as a kid

Man I miss toy hunting. I need to do a video showing my Alf collection

Hello love your intro and your channel I subbed..lots of love archie.x
