Dude, that lady vox footage is from EQOA, a PS2 spinoff of the game that is much more easy and casual. Plane of hate came after plane of fear, which was just as hard as it requires you to kill every single mob in the zone otherwise the final boss of the zone would aggro everything on to you. Plane of sky (not air) came after plane of hate, and was infinitely harder than any other raid, and was extremely difficult until it became more doable in the next expansion. (You mentioned the plane of war, which came out about 15 years after the release of the game lol.) In EverQuest, 90% of the time you don't fight stuff where they spawned. To oversimplify it: you just get someone to lull or distract any mobs in the way while you pull the boss to your raid. Those other mechanics you mentioned with the fake Innoruuk and Evangelist, that came way later in the 3rd revamp of the zone. A few expansions later, there was a few more planes, the plane of mischief and plane of growth, and a few expansions after that, we got a whole expansion around lots of new planes (that's when you get the plane of air.) And a few more planes would come every so often in the very distant future. Please, do your research!!!
Ah damn, my bad!!! Thank you for the comment and for correcting me, I'm planning on doing a more in depth video about Everquest raiding so I really appreciate this man. Had trouble finding footage and info about Everquest but will take the extra time to look next time - thank you for letting me know
Appreciate it man! Yeah I've heard the loud music issue a fair bit, I think I've solved it on the most recent video and will keep an eye on it going forward!
even though i started playing in 2004 ive only been a warcraft raider since i first hit max level at 80 in wrath of the lich king and got asked if i wanted to come with my friend to help fill a spot in a naxx 25 run. I was still in leveling blues and had hardly any clue how to actually play my mage properly. i ended up finishing the xpac as a top raider on the server clearing yogg0 Tribute to Insanity and Hero LK. since then ive cleared every raid thats been added to the game while it is current content. Raiding in wow while being unquestionably more polished and immersive in the design has become a shell of itself in the actual gameplay. I dont get anywhere close to the same level of satisfaction from full clearing these excounters as I would in the past. The level of commitment needed if wanting to even access the content has almost reduced to only needing to be level capped at this point. I miss attunements I miss hardmode mechanics that you had to activate while the fight was already underway to had even more challenge and rarer loot drops instead of simply clicking an option before you enter the zone. I hate the fact that nothing matters gear wise as its all just transmogrified over to some other image hiding what is actually equipped. Theres not really any reason to look at someone and instantly see that person is someone that has pushed to the very edge of raiding or climbed the ladder of the arena. They made legendaries so available that to not have one would be the defining factor of invitation to group or not instead of something that maybe a handful of people on an entire server would have all to make people fell included. I still raid in wow. But no with any passion or excitment. I go into the content with the thought of "this is already a 100% clear, only thing is in how many resets"
Reading through this, honestly man I 100% feel the same as you and thank you for sharing your story. There was a time where I'd raid back in Cata, Wod, etc and feel the excitement and joy of clearing content. Obviously everyone has their own view point and gameplay style of the game, and everyone takes the game at their own pace, but even this tier I cleared within the first 2 weeks. The only telling sign really of a 1% player is the titles that you can get I suppose - but anyway, thank you for the comment. Always interesting hearing others stories.

Good stuff keep it up
solid video 👍
Great content and I'm glad I discovered this channel. Still, it was hard to hear your voice over the loud music.
