    Really good explanation, I wanna know that maybe there are some different in meat quality between unfinished and finished cattle when we slaughter him?, thanks and hopefully you can answer this question

    • @NoctiDraws
      @NoctiDraws 5 років тому +10

      Yes! There is a direct correlation between the amount of intermuscular fat (outer fat) and intramuscular fat (marbling). As an animal fattens and finishes, it is safe to assume that the animal has reached the highest amount of marbling that it possibly can. Heavy marbled cuts of meat are juicier and more flavorful, making them desirable for the market. Additionally, when an animal is starting to get fat, that means that they have reached their genetic potential of putting on muscle. This means that the animal is putting all its energy from its feed into developing fat because genetically, it can't and won't grow any more muscular. So, when you finish a beef animal, not only are you maximising the quality of the beef, but also that quantity! Hope this helps!

      @lavanya i'm not sorry at all. certain animals r here for consumption while others not. whatever u said comes from a human perspective but as a muslim i do not live according to what i think is good or bad but what my holy book tells me. I just hope this doesnot turn into a debate or fight on religion. u have every right to be vegetarian, others also have the right to live according to their belief. On this note, my best wishes.

    • @yalimhassam6174
      @yalimhassam6174 3 роки тому

      @lavanya im not offended lavanya. U know i live according to my islamic belief but let me tell u something.. there r muslims who r vegeterian as well because either they hate meat or they love animals which in both cases r perfectly ok. I know hindus do not consume bovine meat because it of religion but they do eat chicken fish etc. while there r others who do not eat any animal whatsoever.. so it is a matter of choice and or belief as well.

    How can a sane person look at a live living and breathing being and think of it just as a piece of meat that is or isn’t ready to be on your plate? How can you look at it moving around and being a companion to humans and then see the dead flesh on your plate along with some vegetables? That’s so sick and stuffed up on so many levels.
