Yeah me too. But I get why it hasn’t happened yet. I think they have a lot of Zelda projects in the works and they have to strike a balance of releasing their new stuff with the remasters without creating franchise fatigue and cannibalizing sales.

I think everyone’s favorite Zelda game is the Zelda game they grew up playing. For me that was Ocarina of Time. (Though I was around for link to the past I did t begin to get in to games until ocarina.)

When this game was announced, I heard the internet cries, but I didn't care as a Zelda fan. I knew that Nintendo was going in this direction for some specific reason when doing it. When I saw the facial expressions, the hiding in the barrels, and things like that, I knew it was a great choice and I enjoyed the game... Although I didn't like the sea travel, but they helped on the HD remake to fix that issue. Now I'm just waiting for them to port the HD remake to the Switch.

@@SuperMetaFun Maybe we'll get a Legend of Zelda 3D All Stars on Switch 2/whatever they call it. Then we can have, like, Ocarina, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword all together.

@@SuperMetaFun I, for one, would like them to make an honest-to-christ Metroidvania style Zelda game. I think it'd work great, a "2.5D" metroidvania with all the Zelda fixin's.

While I love the wind waker art style, I disagree with remaking Zelda 1 and Zelda II in that style. Id rather they do something that utilizes the official art fir thwir games especially for Zelda II. I'd love to see Hollow Knight levels of animation but with the Zelda II artstyle.

Excellent, bro. You totally get it. I remember the time between first announcement and original release. I couldn't believe the foolish things I heard from so-called fans, who never had a clue. I felt sorry for Nintendo, having to deal with such abject stupidity. I'm old enough to remember playing the original on the NES. I was excited as ever to play Wind Waker on the GameCube in progressive scan and Dolby Digital II. I learned about and invested in both of these technologies because Nintendo was behind them. I was in awe when I first played. It was a living cartoon.

I was 15 when it was announced so I was skeptical but not hostile. It was something so starkly different to what everyone else was releasing and making. It was so Nintendo and it played great. I enjoyed it back then and still enjoy it now.

You can’t miss Twilight Princess in that list, in my personal opinion, it’s some of the best fiction of all time.
Midna’s character development, tying into the game’s theme of power and how it can be abused. How it motivates Midna, how it motivates Zant and Ganondorf, and even how it motivates Link, and by extension, you, the player. The game tackles systemic oppression and economic disparity to display the outcomes of abusing power through metaphor and tying it into the narrative, like the rural area Ordon Village being in shambles when tragedy strikes Hyrule and Castle Town being mildly inconvenienced. It’s genuinely so well thought out and I consider it a masterpiece.

I play WWHD on Cemu and it plays great on my decent little setup w/ 8GB GPU ram, and I’d play it on my switch if N would port it over, it it plays fantastic and you can even get all of the QoL gyro aim perks and get very low latency vs playing on a real switch.
Oh, fantastic video obviously you are a talented MF and you’re really going for it with a channel like this, well-written, interesting, well-edited and engaging storytelling.

It's funny how you call Link's Awakening a "Metroidvania" even though Zelda did the concept of unlocking the overworld with new abilities before both of them and the programmer of Symphony of the Night was inspired by A Link to the Past.

Playing the HD version for the first time, and Wind Waker really is the polar opposite of Twilight Princess, and not just in art direction. While I believe Twilight Princess has better dungeons and combat, I think Wind Waker's story and side quests are more engaging.

In my next video on the Minish cap I plan on exploring that. Fujibayashi directed that one at capcom and was eventually hired by Nintendo. He would direct Skyward Sword, Breath of the wild, and Tears of the Kingdom. In Minish cap you can see a lot of skyward sword and the beginnings of that new Zelda direction.
I get your point. I liked wind waker. Twilight princess was Ocarina again with a wolf but I really enjoyed it. While I love BofW and TofK I miss the original Zelda format.
