If you go to the auto parts store, they have adhesive heat shield. I wonder if just adhering some heatbsheild to the inside of the panel would work better or maybe in addition to the foam wrap.
@@OdysseyOffroad Yes, and it doesn't help. The back of the triangular access panel on the passenger side doesn't have any, so you could add some there, but I think the benefit will be minimal.
Hey guys, great video, and I plan to do this....BUT, do you have any concerns that by insulating these pipes, you might be actually cutting down on heat transfer (cooling down of the coolant), which could cause overheating issues?
None at all. Heat transfer is meant to take place in the radiator not through the lines. And you're only insulating about 3 foot section of line. There was zero difference in engine operating temperatures after doing this.

The inside panels already have that on these 2023 models.

How successful was this mod in reducing cab heat? Looking to do the same thing with my 1000 ES SE. The air gap concept makes sense.
Its not going to stop it 100 percent but does help the passenger leg for sure.
