The show is "The Show Mask Go On." It's a singing competition with other professional singers. The competitors are also judges. This is the first song of the competition, so I assume that many of the contestants were unfamiliar with Diana, hence their surprised reactions. Their comments after the performance were overwhelmingly positive. I was able to watch several of the episodes and enjoyed all of the performances, but it was obvious that Diana stood out. A contralto is the lowest female voice type and is very rare. The show is "The Show Mask Go On." It's a singing competition with other professional singers. The competitors are also judges. This is the first song of the competition, so I assume that many of the contestants were unfamiliar with Diana, hence their surprised reactions. Their comments after the performance were overwhelmingly positive. I was able to watch several of the episodes and enjoyed all of the performances, but it was obvious that Diana stood out. If you're interested, she did an excellent cover of Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus.

Could you please react too to The Crow ("Ворона") - Диана Анкудинова in "Rock hit" category. Many people think this is Diana's one of the best performance to date. She managed in 3 minutes to make a demonstration (without being ostentatious) of all her vocal possibilities and skills.
Diana was currently participating in a very ambitious NTV show "ShowMaskGoon" ("Шоумаскгоон") shot in Mosfilms studios with Virtual Reality sets. The sound was recorded live.
Why "ShowMaskGoon"?: The NTV channel produces 3 other singing competition shows (You are Super ", The Mask" and "SuperStar") the winners of these three shows participate in "ShowMaskGoon which is a kind of superfinal which premiered this year (" Mask "because of the second one)
The principle was as follows: there was 9 permanent participants who are both judges and competitors. Everyone had to perform in 9 predefined styles or categories, changing each time in each of the 9 parts of the show. It was very interesting because the candidates had to get out of their usual repertoire. To the 9 judges / candidates is added a different guest each week who also votes, because the artist who is on stage does not vote. They all have points from 2 to 9 to be distributed according to their assessment of the performance.

"Song from a movie or cartoon"
"Rock hit"
"New music"
"Song of the late twentieth century"
"People are moved" (moving song)
"Soviet song"
"Pop hit"
"Grammy"
"Song of your choice"

Mad Hatter, welcome to the extraordinary sound of Diana Ankudinova! Diana was only 18 years old when this performance took place during the 2021 season of a vocal competition called the "ShowMaskGoOn". This cover of the Elvis Presley classic "I Can't Help Falling In Love" now belongs to Diana and it really demonstrates that Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto sound. A contralto is the lowest female voice type and is very rare. In particular, the quality of Diana's tone, timbre, roundness, and the depth of her voice, her resonance, further define Diana as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare contralto voice types.
Diana is also a true polyphonic singer which in itself is also a very rare talent and it's defined as a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which adds harmonic overtones and makes it appear to sound like two different voices at the same time. This polyphonic sound is why some people mistakingly think she is using autotune, a voice synthesizer, a vocoder or pitch correction software, or some other artificial form of voice manipulation that alters or adjusts her sound. Others think there's someone else singing in the background off stage, or she is singing over a previously recorded vocal track, or lip-syncing. There is nothing artificial going on at all that is manipulating Diana's voice in any way. What you hear is all Diana Ankudinova.
While the majority of female singers usually don't reach their full vocal maturity until they are somewhere around 24 to 28 years of age and I am looking forward to what Diana will sound like when she reaches her full vocal maturity. When she does and has had more years of voice training with her voice teacher between now and then, plus more years to hone her on-stage performance skills, there will be no doubt that Diana Ankudinova will be a wonder to behold on stage and a vocal force to be reconded with. Greetings from Scotland! As Diana says at the end of this "Ouff!" Yulia Parshuta puts her hands on her head (as many reactors do also!) Yusif Eyvazov can't believe what he just heard (neither can any of the other contestants!) and there are insufficient words to even try to explain that performance! In all my years of listening to singers (over 60 years!) I have NEVER heard another singer who can get close to Diana's incredible talent! I invented a word just to describe Diana's vocals - "Chocolateysmoothpowervocals" because the words to describe this amazing, unique, caring thoughtful young lady have not been invented yet! Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. (Height: 1,70 m/ 5,7” ) She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage.
There she finally found love ... by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist who treated the children from the children's home. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could all sing songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started …
Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. You hear: Her voice sounds an octave below the singing voice. (But not everyone can hear that.) Diana also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions.
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to UA-cam and soon she had millions of fans. She is our goosebump
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier than it is 'normal'. That alone shows how smart and hardworking she is.
She applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts. Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.

@@alla6031 Вы наверное не знаете, что случилось 8 лет назад или смотрите только российские каналы. 8 лет назад РФ аннексировала Крым и пыталась также аннексировать луганскую и донецкую области. Войну уже тогда начала РФ. Если бы РФ присоединила к себе уральскую область Казахстана, а потом попыталась присоединить павлодарскую и петропавловскую, что мы казахи должны были бы делать? Отдать наши земли оккупанту и молчать в тряпочку? Нет. Я бы сам записался в добровольцы и поехал бы на север защищать свою родину и гнать оккупантов и местных коллаборационистов с нашей земли
