Yes the sectional is beautiful and looks absolutely comfortable. If you purchased a new sectional share with us how you measured and decided on a new one.

April, how about using painter's tape or butcher paper on the floor to achieve the layout you desire then get measurements. Your home is gorgeous. Be blessed
For the room paintings I would use a navy blue gold and white

When purchasing a sofa, it’s best to measure your space first, then measure the sofa in the store. Once home, Use painters tape to lay out the measurements of the sofa on the floor to get a visual before purchasing. Did you consider placing the sofa against the larger wall (where you have the tv) that way it faces out, and facing the kitchen and living area. Then place the tv and fireplace on the opposite wall.
Just a tip for those of you with soft flooring, such as carpet, cardboard boxes work too.
Is there anything you can’t do? The canvas came out beautifully.

I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. I like how the canvases came out. I've never seen that technique before. I can't wait to see the final product assuming you did re-do them with additional colors. And your home is coming along wonderfully. I truly love the kitchen with the new backsplash and the lighting. Your bedroom is hotel quality. I love it.
I've done paint pourings on canvas for years. Very affordable way to have 'real art'. My suggestion----you need to have more contrast in your paint colors---for example at least one dark color and two light colors of paint. A chocolate brown would have been a great mix in the paint colors you chose or a deep blue since blue is the color of your headboard.
The canvas is gorgeous 😍 That one scuff was long and deep & I could definitely see the staple marks. I’m glad you already had a sofa in mind that you like to replace the other one.

The ceilings in furniture stores are high, so it makes the furniture look smaller. Those delivery drivers didn’t want to take the sofa back out. I would have rejected as soon as I saw the scratch. I am glad you found another, but always measure.

April, I know this is prerecorded, but of all folks whom I enjoy on youtube, l I'm surprised you didn't measure. Girl you Queen of doing this, maybe put this in the room with the fireplace and get you a smaller sectional.

When my husband and I bought our house, we made sure to measure the area and the sectionals to avoid that problem so I get it! You wouldn’t believe how many couches we saw, liked, and looked like it would fit at first glance, but measurements said something completely different lol. Can’t wait to see what your new pieces look like in there!
I love your bed, it looks store brought. You can add in a pop of blue and it will tie in your canvases. You are doing great with your house....keep it going. I am ready to see how you do your office and guest bedroom.

It’s possible your sectional was knicked up by the box cutters the delivery man was using. The sectional is beautiful, sorry for the damage
The paintings came out nice, maybe put touch of that blue and a little more white in it. The couch is massive but looks so cozy.
Smaller couch and one or two accent chairs with a small coffee table bcuz your area is not that big, it won't be comfortable...

The paintings are very nice. Before restarting, build a customized frame that matches the color of your headboard.

Great video. I just am really loving your channel. So relatable. I recently had a sizing issue with a couch I bought. We move th furniture around a bit and figure what other pieces I can swap out next to make it work. I 100% agree with you the way they style furniture in the stores makes it look smaller. I always carry a tape measure with me.......but sometimes they get me!🧐🤓.....I thought the canvases turned out awesome. You are so talented and inspiring!! Keep up the great content!!😊🙂👑👑❤💗👍🏾👍🏾
April I love the sectional. It's a very pretty color and look so comfortable and soft. DIY canvas painting came out really nice. You could probably have added a blue/navy color. I'm going to diy me a couple of canvas. Love that idea.

Yes you should return that sectional. They damaged it or the company did. I dealt with Ashley furniture and it was a nightmare with damaged furniture. I WILL NOT buy from them EVER AGAIN!!!!!

I think they came out great. I think you should add more white and a little bit of that dark blue to the Canvas for a better effect.

Like a geode, something like the painting you had on the floor in the living room. I think that would tie in your room and the bathroom colors.
I like the canvases. Instead of starting over, is it possible to add extra white layers to balance it out? Or maybe you can do an all white canvas and find some gold trim like you have on the bed.

April, I ordered a new sectional in late 2019 and walked in the showroom with a tape measure and notes. To get mine to fit, the salesman sold me 5 pieces of a 7 piece sectional. It fits perfectly in my home.
@Maroxa 7 The store (Rooms to Go) actually sells each sectional piece separately.

Yes I can see how the sectional would take up alot of space. Maybe you can get a chaise as well to go with the sofa you ordered. You can still bundle up and get comfortable. Yep, I saw all the scratches
