Joe best video on youtube you showed everything. This past winter was so windy in North Wales Pa for the first time the front of my mobile home had 3 skirtings come loose, my son used zip ties on the bottom track, but in Feb the top blew in, I just now ordered those wind rods, and it seems like you put them in the slot that holds the skirting panels together but was unsure how the top piece was removed to place them in the holes. Hope these do the trick, they have good write-ups......fingers crossed.....many of us rely on people like yourself to share your knowledge...Thanks Joe👍👍
Thank you for this video. I had no idea how to fix mine but now I have an good understanding of what parts are involved and how they are connected. Thanks again.
Canadian Codes must be followed if in Canada Z240 & A277 which show you proper frost heave codes and ventilation, minimum 2" frost heave and up to 10 inches in places like Fort Mac.
i have watched dozen of skirting videos and every system is crap. Is there not a good system out there? Every system rodents would be in there in no time making a home. How come none of them solve the rodent issue? Why not have an insulated skirting? If you do under the trailer properly and have the air quality the same as in the trailer, you dont need vents either. I want to redo the skirting on my pier foundation house but every video I have seen on youtube has been useless. I want a system that lasts, thats insulated and doesnt let critters in my crawl space. I havent found one yet. Does anyone know of a good system for what i want? My crawl space is already vapour barriered entirely, skirt is spray foamed, i want to redo it because of rot on the outside of the skirting and rodents.
How do you install the last piece of skirting? The sides lock together, so if you have to trim the width of the last piece, how do you lock them together?
You gotta know what your doing for one thing..if you do the measuring right it will work out for you..never pull tight on each piece you put up.. always let it relax..make sure every price is straight and not crooked, use a framing square if you have one and a torpedo level and it will turn out great.. remember the last piece will slide lock together if you do the measurements right..I do this for a living so I had my fair share of mess ups when I first started believe me..do the measuring right and your good..that's all there is to it..
The bottom. {track} is okay the guys that worked on it put the vinyl siding into the track on top is the Rail closes it anyway we had a bad storm one of the panels on the right part of the corner broke in 1/2 i found the the tiny bar it is very long it is missing in that spot { Only one side of the trailer house} no idea if i can even find that no luck I have called ace , Home depot, L & M supply none of them have it it is right in between 3 and 9 39 inches up the panel is small someone mentioned hay bales I do have blocks i just don't know what i can do to fix it they never left much materials behind as in Skirting i have 1 piece they threw away don't know itf it will fit. We don't have mobile homes that was closed down many years ago over 34 at least . I am in Minnesota medium sized town i even called Restore no luck there either .
Just follow bottom of room and put on straignt...then do the bottom track then cut siding to fit. There is a lot of room for error as the top cover is 4 inches. Allow a little room for setteling etc of the siding. The top piece has nothing to do with the ground but more bout the bottom of the room.. TY
The top cover gives you 4 inches ...so as long as it falls in that 4 inches its good.....But u should be 1 inch from top track and the 4 inch top piece will cover nicely and give plenty of room for settlement

rofl, out of 3 video's this is the best but still sucks. you actually showed ZERO work being done. i can only assume you took out the white and replaced with red. not that you showed any of that work? you showed very briefly for just a second. taking one panel out. i actually know how to do this but was looking for a video to share and this is not one i would share. hate me for being honest about what i watched but again. yours was better than the last 2 i seen.
I watched many videos to find this one!
Thanks so much for this well explained step by step video!!!!

Put bottom track on a 2x4 treated wood keeps the skirting off the ground and the track straight.
We’re can you buy those skirts ??
Are all of them like that?
Should you screw the sections in place loosely. Mine tend to bow in the winter time and they were screwed in under the locking piece
Screw top track only...the rest just connect...but u could screw in a problem one in...
How do I cut a custom hole out of a piece of vinyl skirting and install it without taking apart the pipe that has to go through it?
Can u slide it to look under the home.

Yes you can!
Thanks for this video! Any tips on keeping animals from popping these out? F'n raccoons.
My trailer we just bought has skirting like yours except white. Filled with mega holes. What do you use to cut it?
Hack saw for the heavy trim and large scissors or tin snips for the panels.
Holes are for ventilation...I use Hack saw for upper and lower track and large industrial scissors or tin snips for the large red side panels
Queda mejor con placas d semento board cement
Trailer park girls go round the outside, around the outside....
I hope you didn’t do those stairs.
