Cool, I just released a video of doing a brake fluid flush and steel braided brake lines on my M2 yesterday. Your car is clean man, just like your videos.
Thank you for this. Question for you, a very novice question - would I have any issues just doing the rear upgrade on my M Sport? I have the unpainted Brembo’s up front and the plan would be to just have those painted, then do the rear Brembo upgrade in the rear to complete the look. It’ll mainly be an aesthetic upgrade since I have plans for new wheels and I love the completed look. Just not sure if having that larger rotor in the rear would have any effects if I’m not pairing it with the slight upgrade up front. Thanks!
Haha great video! Thumbs up for your pal to be back again! Seems he has funny stories to tell haha Also where are the shots of the results? I love that blue with that white!
Ummm….. You’re supposed to bleed the brakes starting at the caliper furthest from the master cylinder (right rear) working toward the closest (driver’s front).
I appreciate it! 🙏🏻 he messaged me on Saturday to show that we were both doing our brakes at the same time. I was planning to upload sooner but my computer died while editing this 🤣
Why do others say you need an adaptor plate for fitting these exact callipers (370/380) to an e90? Im looking to do this same upgrade to my e89 Z4 35is which shares the same calliper mounts as the e90 335i i think. There's not much love online for the z4 so Im relying e90 posts.
Justin, I can see why you and Randy are friends! Similar personalities, analytical, detail oriented and articulate like you. Has Randy kept up with the skateboarding as you have?
He still has a board but at this point I think he’s gone all in on cars. I’d love to see him get back in to skateboarding though. I’m the only one from our original friend group who’s still skating regularly. Im trying to get him to start his own UA-cam channel. He has a ton of knowledge to give!
It's more easy to put a spacer that converts your PCD to fit a specific wheel when u have bolts, like Fahre Films who put Porsche 5x130 wheels on his BMW E91. Sry but i'm from Europe and all EU cars have bolts and i can't see the benefit of having studs. You can also remove the brake disk without removing the caliper and so on
Those are good points. To me, for general purpose - taking wheels on and off, the studs make it easier. And the fact the BMW sells an alignment tool that imitates a stud is evidence of that. Unless they only sell that tool to Americans 🤣
Awesome video! Only one question: I'm going to use my stock fluid pipes because the msport kit I bought is used and they cut off everything. Should I use the same wood-on-pedal thing?
why do I feel like this video is a déjà vu??? lol, like no kidding. Anyway. Feel the stopping power. I should be doing mine soon, just waiting for the rotors to come.
Are you brakes pedal feel mushy / Spongey? I’m fighting with mushyness with my recently changed m sport / Perf calipers. Already coded It’s firm when new brake pads installed, but after a while it’s soft and need to double pump for a rock solid feel.
I had the red m performance big brake kit installed on my F30 this past summer. I believe they are the biggest OEM brake kit for the F30 and they had to be coded to the car, did you not need to code those blue ones too?
Do steel braided brake lines make a significant difference in braking predictability? On my E46 sometimes during emergency braking I have an impression it won't make it to the complete stop but eventually it stops when it should. I'm planning to install Brembo discs and pads along with braided brake lines and hope it improves the predictability and "braking force feedback".
Hi I just bought rear calipers blue from a 2016 m3 They say p244 Can I use 2016 f80/m3 rear calipers on my 2018 340 I 19inch rims. The f80 M3 calipers had 370mm rotors in the rear original with the m3 car. The stamp says p244 I’ve seen p240 on other research with m performance package The 44 is a bigger piston same size as the m performance Can I use the 345mm rotor on the p244 blue caliper I know they originally came with the M3 and 370 rotors My big question is Can I use the calipers I bought and just use the 345mm rotors I know my rear cannot hold a 370 rotor From my research, it can hold a 345 rotor
Performance wise there is not a big improvement because your 340i already got a big brake system. The difference is really noticable on the 4 cyl. models. The F80 brake system is almost the same as the 18 inch bmw m performance brake system which i would go for. The stock brake system is more than enough, even if you plan to tune your 340i so its more astethic reasons than actual improvement.
That’s what I thought too but that’s they way the manufacturer designed them. This link has a diagram showing the rotation direction ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/1918136-stoptech-slotted-rotors-hawks-pads.html
I saw Thic Whips do this and he said they needed to be coded to get full functionality. do you know what that means/entails? what more functionality do they get from coding?
From what I understand, it’s letting the car know which brake option is installed to help calibrate the dynamic stability control system. Im not sure what the real world difference is after coding, but I’ll code mine and report back
@@justinbuice sounds good! also another question you may/may not be able to answer but would this retrofit work on a car with stock f30 brakes (non-msport/non-brembo)? I have an F31 that I’d love to have f80 brakes and calipers on.
Dude! Awesome job on the edit. Turned out great. We’ll have to do another one! Thanks for the shout out Bruv 🙌
Great video.
Randy has a good manner, well worded, clear, calm and slow talk through.
Great collaboration. More please….
Love how Randy describes what he’s doing. Well spoken. He needs to come back for another project. 🔥🔥🔥
Great job guys 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the parts 😁😁😁
Putting South Jersey on the map!!
Randy and video tutorials go together nicely. Cool, calm and clear.
So nice seeing Randy and you working in a video together! This was such a nice upgrade! Mine next! 😈
So cool to see two guys hanging out, working on a car. Nice background music buddy.
Great video! Entertaining as always. Great story at the end from Randy. Keep the videos coming. Love the F30 build!
Thank you! I’d like to include him in more videos when his schedules allows 😎
Randy is a cool guy. Top notch video as always Justin and a nice upgrade!
Thank you! He’s a great guy!
Good job guys! Awesome video as always. Randy is impressively knowledgeable and mindful of the work he does.
Love the channel! 😎

This is just great stuff. Your vids are the best on youtube. Relaxed - no hype. Ty for keeping it real.
Its been so good to see your progression inspiring 🔥
🙏🏻
Thank you for putting Randy’s stories at the end. If there is anyone that could make me cry laughing, it’s Randy. Great job dude!
Looks so good behind those wheels!
Thanks! I love how it came out!
Using the blinkers on my N54 powered E60 is my biggest flex on other BMWs
the 335i and 340i both came with the option for the blue brembos. 370mm/345mm rotors, its legit the same stuff
Nice work guys. I just bought these calipers for my e90 m3 and sending it to the shop and then the track haha yeah

Super detailed video man, they look great!
Thank you!! I like how you put your channel name on your calipers. I might have to do something like that since mine are faded lol
Another fire edit! Keep up the great work Justin! I try to incorporate some of your style and skills in mine.
Haha great video! Thumbs up for your pal to be back again! Seems he has funny stories to tell haha
Also where are the shots of the results? I love that blue with that white!
Great video really well delivered can't wait for the next one keep them coming
Don't forget to VO code to either 2NH or SPBR, and change the rotor sizes under DSC! Otherwise it is going to feel mushier than stock.
Good looking out :)
How do you code?
Sweet breaks but love love that seiko as well
Ummm….. You’re supposed to bleed the brakes starting at the caliper furthest from the master cylinder (right rear) working toward the closest (driver’s front).
thic whips did this the other day but im always down to watch both videos

I wish I had friends to do car projects with
I wish I had friends
This looks awesome man! You mind doing a buyers guide video one day of things to look for when buying an f30!
BMW's in the UK don't come with turn signals either (we call them indicators)

you guys are dope and explain so well
There is a german adapter for the 340 caliper to use 380 m3 discs

I LIKE IT MANN! DONING GREAT! ALL THE BEST FROM GERMANY.
Thank you!!
Entrarán sin espaciador si coloco unas style 260m? (Llantas de m3)
Im surprised you get the smaller brakes on the 340i? We literally have the larger ones standard on the M140i here and its a smaller car!!
Did you code the sport brake option in the vehicle order? if you didn't you should, your brakes will feel even better.
Awesome video! Only one question: I'm going to use my stock fluid pipes because the msport kit I bought is used and they cut off everything. Should I use the same wood-on-pedal thing?
why do I feel like this video is a déjà vu??? lol, like no kidding.

🤣🤣🤣
Good luck! This job really wasn’t too bad especially with two people
@@justinbuice yeah, also this is achievable for 1 person job using the bleeder tool which I already have and works great.
cool video. do more collabs w randy he was able to make sense of everything very well
Man, do we need to change the heat shield if Im coming from 340 to 370. You didn’t change it? Why?
Finally a new video 🙌🙌
😎
Nice video as always. Randy was very handy! 😂 nice work
Thanks!!
Interesting that your lug nuts of Motorsport Hardware have a lot of rust of them too. Mine are already quite rusted as well.
Yeah it seems the finish on them becomes compromised after taking them off and on a few times
Don't you need to replace the brake dust shield when changing your rotors to a larger one to match it? honest question.
@13:39 it's 380mm not 370mm
Going to be doing this install soon! Are the front rotors the same exact ones from the M3? Or are they different for the F30?
The only thing now is the digital cluster!
Are you brakes pedal feel mushy / Spongey? I’m fighting with mushyness with my recently changed m sport / Perf calipers.
Already coded
It’s firm when new brake pads installed, but after a while it’s soft and need to double pump for a rock solid feel.
Cool vid, why not go through everything and clean it up while it was apart?
I had the red m performance big brake kit installed on my F30 this past summer. I believe they are the biggest OEM brake kit for the F30 and they had to be coded to the car, did you not need to code those blue ones too?
i wanted to ask the same thing
As far as i know you have to code the dtc that the car has a bigger brake system
Are the stock brakes bad?

I'm planning to install Brembo discs and pads along with braided brake lines and hope it improves the predictability and "braking force feedback".
Did it?
I had a 03 E46m3 and ss brake lines don’t make you stop faster but it’s a firmer pedal feel, I liked it.
@@gianellicapone8740 Thanks for the reply! That's what I wanted to hear 😄
Hi
I just bought rear calipers blue from a 2016 m3
They say p244
Can I use 2016 f80/m3 rear calipers on my 2018 340 I 19inch rims.
The f80 M3 calipers had 370mm rotors in the rear original with the m3 car.
The stamp says p244 I’ve seen p240 on other research with m performance package
The 44 is a bigger piston same size as the m performance
Can I use the 345mm rotor on the p244 blue caliper
I know they originally came with the M3 and 370 rotors
My big question is
Can I use the calipers I bought and just use the 345mm rotors
I know my rear cannot hold a 370 rotor
From my research, it can hold a 345 rotor
So you didnt do anything to the rear dust shields?
quick question..if you're mounting new calipers...why don't you wipe them off before installing them? they have brake dust inside them :(
can you not use a suction gun for bleeding the brakes??
Aren't there two more soft brake lines in the back underneath the car?
I have a 2016 BMW 435i with 19-inch wheels, will this fit my car without going up to a larger wheel?
I read that your old setup would work on my E90n 335i 😋 you selling those parts?
Notification gang stand up!!!
Looks good bro
Thank you! 🙏🏻

Can you fit the f80 brakes if you have 18in wheels?
Is the braking better!!
I have an F32, and the braking is kinda dull. If you were to say in percentage, how much will the f82 brake overhaul improve my braking?
is that 370mm rotor? is it fit to 18inch wheel?
So we can’t use the f80 rotors ? With this swap on the 340 ?
👍🏿 happy thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving!
I seen a video someone code these is that necessary or no ? After install
Will I void my warranty if I put m sport brakes on my e 330 2023 ?
Don't they need to be coded??? I had to code my BBK on my f30
What size tires dude?
Need this for my whip but that price tag😩
What is your wheels set up
Should have fitted f80 discs
does it really stop 3 grand better?
370mm - bmw m performance brakes
380mm- bmw F80 brakes
Does this fit on any f30 ? For Example like a base 330i ?
Looks great! How is the dust with the EBC Red Stuff pads?
So far so good. Im going to put some miles on them and I’ll report back
Super ❤
Get a pressure bleeder. They're inexpensive and save a lot of time flushing brakes. No need to do the pump/bleed "dance" with a friend.
I think you may have put the discs on backwards?
That’s what I thought too but that’s they way the manufacturer designed them. This link has a diagram showing the rotation direction
ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/1918136-stoptech-slotted-rotors-hawks-pads.html
Aren’t those directional sided discs/rotors??
If so they are on the wrong side.
(Just saying)
They are directional and were labeled by the manufacturer. See link with diagrams here

Thank you for video!
Will these brakes fit f32 440i?
Yes
Your channels making me want a 340i xdrive. How’s reliability on yours?
Havent had any major issues yet. Got it with 34k miles and now at 51k. So far so good!

what size is the rear rotor?
I will have to double check but I believe the ones we installed in the rear are 340mm
@@justinbuice ok makes sense. So the rear was mostly an upgrade for the calipers going to a 2 pot. Thanks

I woulda just got the f80 if your gonna put f80 parts on. Just my opinion
I can't afford an F80, but I got these parts for free so it's the next best thing
Ohh in that case knock yourself out. 😂
Wish I can get free parts
they're not f80 brakes. just the optional extra 370mm brakes
They are f80 brakes. The f80 m4 comes with 380 rotors but the non m cars come with 370 rotors.
OVO TING
Nice ! MMM
Seriously wonder how much someone would pay for your car
