They will if tier one teams also play test matches in Fiji in June/July test window....atleast 3 tier one teams should play Fiji in Fiji every year as they are now a top 10 team.
Yup, in 2013 they even put Samoa in a different competition with South Africa and Italy rather than having them in the Pacific Nations Cup. World Rugby were trying to move them into tier 1. But later that year was when everything fell apart. I think a lot of players were reaching the end of their prime as well and they didn't bring in the next generation. I think Moana might be making a mistake with bringing in too many players that aren't going to play for Samoa or Tonga as well. This year they had a Welsh lock. Last year they had Tavatavanawai, Levi Aumua Julian Savea who weren't going to play for the national teams. So does it really help Samoa or Tonga? Now they're bringing in Ardie Savea who can't play for the national side and Garden-Bachop, right when William Havili is playing his best rugby with Tasman and D'Angelo Leuila has been in great form for Waikato.
@@MarkWhippy in regards to Moana its supposed to be the pathway for Pasifika players in both age grades and the super rugby team to get them exposure to top level footy. It does help idk about tonga cause they have how many players play for moana and they still lose to teams like Romania. So yeah in a sense idk if Moana is worth it. I do think Samoa should have their own Super rugby team rather than a Pacific islanders team.
Fiji have always had good players, but usually just loose forwards and wingers. They've struggled to get good halfbacks, flyhalfs, fullbacks and front rowers. Lomani and Muntz have improved so much and their front rowers and scrums have got a lot better. They still need to solidify the fullback position and really need to work on their line outs. Their line outs were still bad against Wales, but hopefully it will be better next week. The Drua has really helped to develop players in these positions. Overseas clubs aren't interested in getting Fijian halfbacks, flyhalfs etc thats why its taken so long for them to develop players in these positions.
Love to Fiji from a rugby fan in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa. Nobody knows rugby around me here and they think I am kinda of a weirdo to follow this sport. I love the Flying Fijians, and the French team and the South African Springboks.
Fiji will become a top 5 team if given equal share of home games....they are already winning 50% of away test matches and with home test wins if given....they will become a top five ranked team....100%
It all depends if the Fiji Rugby Board pay the players what they signed an on TIME . If Fiji Rugby Board stop stealing the players payment money then maybe Fiji have a chance but until Fiji Rugby Board has a clean out of Masey an his thieves then maybe Fiji will climb
Still at the development stage with the Drua involvement in Super Rugb. After only 3 years, of the Drua the results is beginning to show and the exiciting bit is the age gap in the team being between 19 and 26. The top 10 ranking is an early bonus. Lets see this exciting developments of Fijian rugby by the time the 2027 RWC shows up.
@ it’s counted….but nowhere near world beaters. World beaters are teams that regularly get to and/or win major trophies, are able to beat the top teams regularly - World beaters would be the NZ of old, SA at the moment, Clive Woodwards England. Not even Ireland were called ‘world beaters’ over the last three years……they couldn’t beat the top teams when it mattered
World beaters is a big over-exaggeration. If they can beat a traditional 'big side,' without that big side being at their absolute lowest ebb, then maybe Fiji can be considered 'world beaters.' As of yet, they can only take the odd scalp when Wales, Australia etc are having an off game, and have possibly their worst teams of the professional era. That's nothing to do with Fiji. As a result, they've become the most over-hyped team in the world.
Spot on analysis. Many are blinded by the Fijians success, but all Tier 1 nation defeats in recent times(2023-24) were against struggling teams not even close to their peak. Extremely overrated.
How about Fiji beating England (full strength) in their backyard last year & so as Wales today."World Beaters for a reason" because we beat team with big resources, big funding yet we don't even have half of what they have. You can take opinion and shove it where the sun don't shine.
How high can Fiji climb in the World Rankings? 🇫🇯
It depends on how well the Fijian Rugby Union looks after our boys and does what they promised them
Top 5
Top 5 indeed
top 5 easily with unbiased officiating !! 🎉

This is what Samoa Rugby could've been if it weren't for poor management and player development/depth. Hopefully we can get Samoas golden era soon.
Early 2010s gone begging right when they've got something going
I'd argue the golden age was the 2010s. Samoa and Tonga being miss managed is disappointing considering how well those country are in Rugby League

Samoan rugby has always had corrupted chairmans, can't go forward if the person at the top is a crook

Those young kids have a very exciting future ahead of them 🔥🇫🇯
they have a very exciting NOW! ❤
Flying Fijians learnt from that loss against the Scottish last week. We must be consistent. Have more game time together.
Tuisova also helped 😆

I believe that one day, they can be world champions.

Love the analysis on Fiji's success as a really good team
thanks!

World beaters sounds awfully alot like a 40k reference. I like it
Agree on ur top five picks.💯👍
thanks!
Only one I would have worked in is "Stino" Ravutaumada
@@hilgenb4 he's so good but after the olympics I felt he was too obvious 😀
Agree with your top 5 picks

God bless Fiji 🇫🇯
Yes Fiji and the Pacific are getting better but The western nations do their very best to neutralize them with really bised officiating against them 🎉
Bruh if we had our top team and a bit more time more often we would be more dangerous
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
One day we will win a rwc ,god knows because we only live it to god ,because we put god first🙏💯🙂
Racist rooted in the world 🌍 rugby board committee , lots of love from Fiji 🇫🇯

Not exactly world beaters…….they beat a crap Wales side. They’re a great side from a small island but in no way are they world beaters
So beating England, Australia and Wales within six months is not counted?

Yeah Ireland beat a crap New Zealand side in New Zealand.

Hardly Fijis fault if greedy rich nations can't keep their consistency; especially before and during a world cup. A Butt-Hurt opinion at most.
