I took my Dad to see them in the early 80`s,it was without Doubt one of the best night`s I ever spent,They were Brilliant,Such Fun,Cool music,Thanks for posting this.
This is the best version of this song with cheryl porier doing vocal love them went to see them in the eighties when they came to my home city of Liverpool England since the coconuts left they were never the same ❤
@queenastilon Yes, that performance was on UA-cam for a while but seems to have disappeared. You're right - you could also see Cheryl's face a lot better.
Kid creole said in a interview that they were bigger overseas than in the United States because the radio stations didn’t know how to classify them. He also said the coconuts wrecked his marriage. I can definitely see why. They were fine as hell.

HIS choice to screw around with women he's not married to. So, WHO'S fault is it that his marriage went bust?? Totally and completely his free will choice. I remember taping another version of this.... on BETAMAX... also with Cheryl in men's clothing and singing that lovely "Won-der-ful" during the choruses. Only that time she got more camera time... possibly a performance in Holland? Anyway, thanks for this. I lost that tape many years ago. This is a wonderful thing.

Lead singer on this performance is Cheryl Poirier, who joined the band shortly after the first album.

that's strange because one of the coconuts he was married to. So you are telling me that he had affairs with other two coconuts?
@@chaddawkins8525 not all of them. The group had a total of five( main plus backup) Plus he messed with others that were auditioning but not selected.
