Experienced Civil Engineer ( of having 10+ years of experience ) especially Independent project handlers , managers are actually very hard to find
Very good coverage on Civil Engineering. No doubt there are lot of jobs in terms of number but unfortunately in India at this point of time there is no good companis other than L&T. Some international companies tried set up business but every body winded up and quit. So good job problems persists. It is mostly unorganized companies who have taken up big projects. Secondly, academic credentials do not matter in Construction industry and mostly engineers (Degree/ Diploma) with good man management skills are more successful. However, qualified engineers after a few years experience in toxic work environment get option to join various Consulting firms, Contract & Claim Management ( BE & LLB is a deadly combination). General opinion is that Govt. jobs are best and no doubt, half of Engineering govt. jobs are for civil.

Other branches are good but i feel Cse is easier. Because we know what to do in our college years like learning Data structures of Java/c++, coding competitions. What i feel about other branch is that youll just have to get high cgpa in college, then learn the job after you get a placement
All Physics (especially Mechanics, fluid Mechanics, Matter properties stress ,strain etc ) There will be subjects like applied Mechanics, fluid Mechanics, strength of materials, structural Mechanics , Design of structures etc All Maths All Chemistry ( yes Chemistry is also important for subjects like engg Chemistry , concrete technology , environmental engg , water supply and treatment , sewage and wastewater treatment )

Go for jcerc University jaipur I have myslef visited that it's the top private uni in rajasthan with very good facilities education placements with very decent fees as compared to other private colleges
The hostel is just amazing if u want ac hostel its 12000 per month if non ac its 9 000 but belive me jab hostel dekhoge worth it lgega itne kam price mai bht shi hostel hai and then coming to fees cse it ki 1 lakh something and other branches like ece its very less approx 45000
