As Muslims we don’t acknowledge thanksgiving as a religious holiday . We only acknowledge Ramadan & EID however we are allowed to gather and eat .

True turkey day is not a religious holiday however it was started to celebrate for lack of a better term, american colonists thanking God for supposedly aiding in their slaughter of hundreds of Native Indians so yeah it should not be a recognized holiday at all and unless used as a day of mourning. As-salamualaykum, there are only two major holidays that we as Muslims celebrate. Eid-ul Fitr and Eid-ul Adha. Christmas is a holiday surk. Which is a major sin. Even if we are everts to Islam, we should not celebrate Christmas. Thanksgiving isn't a religious holiday. But we shouldn't celebrate it as well if you want to just have a family dinner with your family without the intention. I'd celebrate a holiday the native Americans were slatered.😢
