My fave thing about the reveal of Mrs Loomis is fact she turns up quite often in the movie, loads in the background, interacting with many characters but never once is she ever with Sydney & Sydney never sees her as she is the only one who could identify her as Mrs Loomis on sight but you also don’t notice that they’re never together so it isn’t weird or a give away. It’s clever from script & filming POV.
Mrs. Loomis was looming lol
Ironic since she was a homage to Mrs Voorhees yet she was waaaay better
I’m so glad you love the Scream series! A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to meet David Arquette (Dewey) and got a picture with him and an autograph. He was so sweet! Also met the stunt actor who did the Ghostface scenes for the first and second movie.
Thats so cool omg

People are so undisturbed that Randy died bro he was my favorite character I cried so hard why 😭
Killing the know-it-all about horror makes it harder to guess who the killer is since we dont get hints
He was too powerful…
Fun fact: The original script had the boyfriend and roommate as the killers and also Cotton Weary is less noble at the end but it got leaked and they changed it all. In fact there were a lot of rewrites, and one of the things that really didn't work great was how little screentime Mickey got considering he was the first reveal. He's barely in the second half of the movie, and really needed a little bit more to make that reveal feel like something.
Mickey doesn't matter, the real reveal is Billy's mother. After all, he's just a garden variety psycho, but Billy's Mom is pulling all the strings.
It didn't get leaked. It was Weinstein who didn't like it halfway through the shot so they had to change it.
Yeah, a little Timothy Olyphant in full-blown unhinged mode goes a long way 😅
Mrs. Loomis was waaaay better
i feel like Mickey did have potential, though. the way he plays with Sidney's mind by feeding into her trust issues, only to immediately make her regret it was really interesting. the only ghostface i can think of that was on a similar level of manipulative was (redacted, i'm sorry if you saw this comment pre edit!!). if Mickey had been an actual character & was given enough screen time to justify his existence, he could have been just as interesting as Mrs. Loomis imho. if he had spent the whole movie playing similar mind games with Sidney, now THAT would have made him a fantastic ghostface.
Mickey is actually my favorite ghostface. I get it he has very little screen time. But every scene he is in is very important he is completely messing with Sidney's mind for the fun of it and for her not to trust those she should especially Derek. He was a serial killer before Mrs. Loomis found him so he's totally messed in the head that is why they worked great together she just wanted revenge on those that killed her son, every other attack on everyone but Randy, Gale, Sidney, and Dewey is just a mad man on the loose to satisfy his bloodlust( the movie stuff was just nonsense he came up with) while she creates an alibi to go against his plan. Timothy Olyphant was fantastic in the role in my opinion. Good reaction.
Agreed. I thought she was a little harsh on that reveal. Don’t forget that every scream has a theme, this one of course being sequels. And Mickey was pro sequel in Randy’s film class. It made sense to be him, and sometimes you just need a good old fashion crazy person(like Stu, Charlie, etc) that don’t have ties to Sidney that just want to kill. It’s scarier and more real that way.
@@bradleypowers3580arguably stu was one of Sid’s friends, but so true! It’s kinda cool and almost refreshing having a straight up no motive murderer
the scream franchise is one of the most consistent horror franchises. enjoy the ride!
up until part 5 and 6 :(
1,2, and 4 are consistent in logic and quality at least... 3,5,6 can't say the same

One fun fact of trivia is that the actor that plays the sherif is David Arquette’s real life father (they are pretty much a Hollywood dynasty where the whole family are actors). And I saw an interview where David said Scream 2 was his favorite movie to film because he got to work with his dad and that it was really special for him. Very cool.
Caitlin: "The killer can be anyone."
*The killer is anyone*
Caitlin: "I dont like that."
😂
Fun Fact: The man who directed the first 4 Scream movies which is Wes Craven is the same man who created Freddy Krueger also directed and wrote the first A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984).
I love Scream 2 and Scream 3. Two great sequels, both great in different ways. I laughed every time you said “look at their shoes.” in this reaction 😂
This is honestly a solid sequel!!
Also some fun facts: There were a lot of scripts for this movie so if any got leaked, you won’t know if that’s the true one or not, also in the original script the killers were supposed to be Hallie and Derek but they changed it when the script got leaked.
Sarah Michelle Gellar accepted her role in this movie right away without reading the script because of how well the first movie did.
Seeing Sarah Michelle Geller in this reminded me of "I Know What You Did Last Summer", which I would 100% recommend watching for more fun 90's horror!
The best sequel in horror. This series is VERY good. Even the new ones have good parts.
Clearly you've never seen pet sematary 2
@@stinkfinga4918 I have. It's not as good or better than the original. It's just an opinion, chill.
@@JessieDee13 lol no ones attacking you relax
for me the new Ones are really good, the 6th is better than the 5th, but both are great.
I’m team 4th as the best sequel 😅
the progression of 'I don't like Gail' in Scream 1, to 'nah you're not taking Gail from me' in Scream 2 is TOO real. You get it lol.
You're very spot on with the feeling at the end. In general, this is a feel good horror franchise, which is funny to say. Some slashers change casts every movie or have their characters just miserable by the end, but Scream gave us a cast of characters to really root for that grow and evolve. Scream was my very first horror, and I think it's a perfect series to be an introduction to the genre because it makes you feel so much. Interested to see your take on the 3rd movie. It's personally my favorite, and I think now that you know the sort of vibes of the series, you'd be able to dig it. I agree with everyone else, not a bad movie in the series yet, every single one brings something new and interesting to it despite the familiarity.
To be honest Mickey is one of the best killer's in the whole scream history
he sucked
I don't see what was so underwhelming about Mickey being the killer? He was clearly shown to be a supportive and energetic friend of Derek and Sydney, as well as a huge film buff like Randy. Sure he wasn't in many scenes, but when he was, it was all pretty significant. Definitely an impactful reveal, IMO.
When i first watched the third act I didn't remember him. Most of us suspected someone who was more relevant and significant throughout the movie. He appears for a few mins and dips so early in the movie until the big reveal. Mrs Loomis, even tho has probably less screen time, was obnoxiously funny that everyone remembers her by the reveal. And the fact that she's Billy's mom is so mind-blowing and unexpected
dewey and gale are so sweet with each other and their characters getting as much development as they do throughout the franchise is so heartwarming and wholesome
Cozy horror is the perfect way to describe this franchise! Even though it’s a slasher movie where people get brutally killed, there’s a feel good and almost family element to it because of how much heart is put into the characters. Definitely my favorite franchise of all time and can’t wait for you to watch the next 4. 5&6 are up there with 1&2 as my favorites.
love how excited you are for scream. hope you finish the series
so far you are 0-4 on predicting the killers
25:24 I love how Cotton cries out to Gale like “SHIT…I’m gonna be framed again 🤦”
Scream 2 is definitely an amazing sequel. It's really hard to beat Matthew Lillard, and Skeet Ulrich's acting as Billy is amazing, but the pacing and feel-goodness aspects of Scream 2 are so good. Not to mention Mickey coming back to life and immediately getting blasted is pretty hilarious. It's just such a great combination of horror, tongue-in-cheek comedy, and feel good vibes.
Ironic that Daphne’s actor plays in this, while Shaggy’s actor plays in the last movie.
“EVERYBODY’S okay!”
Randy, Whatever her name was, and etc: *”girl.”*
Thank you for watching and your reaction. Keep on!😉
I have seen too many Scream reactions on UA-cam to confess but yours genuinely made me laugh the most!! Great editing, loved how you tried to solve the mystery. Cannot wait to see reactions to 3 and 4, they really do keep up the quality, its SO worth watching! I'd say 5 and 6 dont have that charisma or quality since they were made after Wes Cravens passing :(
One of the rare instances a sequel does better than the original. Sidney really came into her own and you can tell it wasn’t just her overcoming the trauma of her past ordeal it was also inspiring Cotton since he is as much a victim of Billy and Stu as she was. One of the things I really liked about Sidney in this movie is how even thought she is a survivor who went through awful crap it was also her regaining some sense of compassion of having a understanding for other victims after being cynical from her past tragedies.
RIP Randy while the writer Kevin Williamson regrets his death I personally feel it was proper Randy was the rule man and what Scream is notorious known for is breaking the horror movie rules and there is symbolism of them offing the rule guy.
The reveal was an interesting one Micky was an inverse of Billy and Stu who wanted anonymity by framing Sidney’s dad in the first movie Micky wanted to have Bundy level killer status. And Billy’s mom being the second killer is an inverse of Billy killing Sidney’s mom.
A great follow up definitely one of my top 3 in the franchise.
it’s actually a really great thing that i hadn’t noticed until you pointed it out that a lot of the characters wear black work boots just like ghostface.
The movie theater lobby scene at the start reminds me of the start of Dario Argento's Demons. p.s. Just realized that the first guy killed is Dr. Foreman from House, one of my favorite shows. 😢
One of my favorite shows too!
The defeated "How did he manage?" has been a sticking point for a long time I this film. 🤣
I love how you love scream Ugh it’s my comfort series
Dewey got my girl blushing😊😌🤪
I am honestly so jealous you get to experience all these gems for the first time
Scream movies raised me 😅
@Te-legram-shesscared Stop trying to scam people. 🚩🚩🚩
I believe they screened early tests for audiences with an ending where Dewey actually died they shot where gail sees his body at the end and the people that screened it disliked it so much they went back and reshot the ending where he makes it out on the stretcher.🤭
I had so much fun watching your reaction. I love how much you loved this movie. The whole series is consistently good. Scream 3 is a literal product of its time, so it cops more criticism than it should. It's still highly enjoyable. Can't wait to watch you finish this series. You're in for a treat.
Isnt every Scream movie a product of its time? I dont see how this is a bad thing.
Scream 4, 5 and 6 they all have a lot of flaws. Especially 5 & 6 are very flawed and are Sometimes very frustrating cause the writing is so bad.
Omg yesss clicked the moment I saw it. I love this sequel it’s my favorite sequel of the scream franchise that builds off the original so well and the only one where I consider it better than the original at times. A creative opening, great chase/tense sequences, great killers, great cast, new setting, character development is on point especially with Gale, kills are nice especially the standout with the cop with the pole through his head, great meta commentary on sequels, Sidney becomes even more badass, it had stakes when randy died, and it has a great third act. I just love this movie sm and can’t wait for the scream 3 reaction cause ppl call it the worst but it’s not it’s another fun time it’s the weakest sure but this franchise is consistent with quality. It truly sucks to be Sidney all her friends officially died and her college life most likely was ruined after this movie with no one wanting to associate with her.
You have quickly become one of my favorite channels keep it up ❤
*People really need to stop saying that a certain sequel is bad because all they're doing is setting up expectations when reactors should go into it completely and utterly blind. I think we can all unanimously agree that we shouldn't spoil things, but it seems like some people still want a reactor to have their opinion be swayed by what most people think about a sequel, and that shouldn't happened!*
10:03 every scream movie reaction i saw..i only heard them say don't answer the phone , it's not your house but i was like plz answer it as i want to know....this is the first reaction where mine and her idea matches😂😂😂
There's no way to take the movies seriously because of the Scary Movie franchise, it's hilarious 😂
This was so awesome.
Can't wait for the Scream 3 reaction and then 4,5 and 6.

Scream 3 and 4 are so underrated
love seeing people react to my favorite horror series. new favorite react channel.
The one thing that I really like about mickey was that even though yes it was irrelevant to have him be the killer remember he was a serial killer even before becoming ghostface. He was literally hired by mrs Loomis to help her kill Sidney, she helped pay for his tuition and everything. Mickey definitely had a negative affect on Sidney in the 3rd film because he truly had no personal vendetta with Sidney no personal connection just a hired killer
Killin it Caitlin!
What I always loved about this one is that the reveal of there being 2 killers is given away at 8:40 with Ghostface on the phone saying "It's Ted" at the exact moment Ghostface in the background enters, and they're not holding a phone.
25:54 Sidney yells "Gus!" looking for her drama teacher
omg THANK YOU
@@shesscared thank you for a great video, it made me laugh a few times, great editing 😂♥️🙏🏼🙏🏼
I don’t know why people are saying Scream 3 is bad cause it’s one of my favourites! Yeah it’s got less kills and less gore, but it’s the funniest and I give props to that.
Fun fact: because of all the training Sarah Michelle Gellar did for Buffy The Vampire Slayer during her scene they had to tell her to slow down because she was running too fast.
My rules for surviving a Scream movie
1 Never answer the phone: if it's important they'll leave a message
2 Always wear a bulletproof vest: it's protection against both knives and bullets (except a headshot)
3 Never leave the door open behind you: if nothing else you can hear it when they open the door to enter a room
4 Always have an extra clip so you never run out of bullets
You really NEED to react to the scary movie parodies after all these scream ones
You need to watch the rest asap. I don't have the patience to wait.
"LoOk At ThE sHO-BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP" was my fav part 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m so glad you are continuing this franchise. Even with three being the weakest I find them all to be amazing! Very much looking forward to Scream 7!!
35:31. Fun fact: That girl who was on the phone with ghost face is the same girl who played in Buffy the vampire slayer
I'M SO HAPPY that you are doing scream movies reaction i'm waiting for all the reactions of the movies especially Scream 4 for me is the best of the franchise
I love how at the end of this movie instead of reporting the incident like she does in first one Gale goes in the ambulance with Dewey
Derek and Halle were originally supposed to be the killers, but bc of script leaks they had to change to Mickey and Mrs. Loomis, which would explain why Mickey feels out of place
Love how she said she didn’t like the music when Dewey dies (ik he didn’t die but still), even though it’s literally deweys theme tune. Fun fact: he is the only character with a theme tune in the entire scream franchise, not even Sidney has a theme tune!!
Sydney does have a theme tho, Dewey's is just more recognizable
Ohh I never realised that she had a theme tune, thanks for telling me, I’ll look out for it next time I watch it❤❤
20:51 that type of stick is known as mistletoe, genuinely. Shxt stick = mistletoe.
I feel like you need to get into horror conventions! They’re all over the country and have guests from a ton of horror movies. I just met David Arquette in Lexington Kentucky

Um, what? Lol
Can we talk about the fact that Mickey was a serial killer before the woodsboro murders.. i like that piece of information because it adds a sense scariness not knowing you have a class with one of the countries top 100 serial killers lol
Has anyone ever told you that you look A LOT like Helen Hunt? If you say you don't know who that is, I am going to feel so old. Haha. Anyway, another great reaction. Can't wait for the rest of the franchise.
Thank you for satisfying my Scream hyperfixation! Can't wait till you get to the 5th one, Jenna Ortega is sooo good in it!
The third one is pretty better than the second, because if you get that there are THREE accomplices -- the whole sequence of the events does not look like a mess
You and the shoes had me dying laughing 😂😂😂
I am very happy that you enjoy this saga, I was the same every time I saw each movie for the first time, trying to guess who the murderer or murderers is, paying attention to every detail that later was not important at all, it is a very fun franchise to watch
The scream series is one of the few horror franchises I'm ok with continuing past 4 movies lol it almost never disappoints and I love how meta it can be also scream 3 has ky favorite side character lol
Are you going to react to all the other movies? I’m excited to see you react to 4, 5 & 6 as their my faves. Sam is one of my favourite new characters and i’m sad she won’t be coming back:(( I’ll always enjoy the old movies tho 1-6. I hope you will too!
Scream 3 is a trip, I love it completely but I get why many don't , but to me it is a blast. The whole series is fun and for me personally even the stuff that doesn't quite work is more than made up for by the stuff that does.
I knew Sheldon Cooper's mum was a bit bonkers, but I never would have guessed THAT bonkers
The fact I’m rewatching a classic sequel and a long video just to see Caitlin’s reaction - and it did NOT disappoint!
@Te-legram-.shesscared SCAMMER. 🚩🚩🚩🚩
Rewatch will make you appreciate Mickey so much more. Top tier Ghostface as he actually was a serial killer (implied) prior to these murders
I also suspected Joel! I thought it was Joel and Debbie Salt working together so they could boost their careers, so I was half right lol. And about Scream 3, you're right that it's universally considered the worst, but if you're gonna do the Scream franchise you might as well do the third lol. It leans a lot more into horror comedy, which I know you're not into, but you could probably hate on the movie the whole video and we wouldn't mind 😂 I promise you it's worth it to watch all the movies, especially once you get to 6, which has the scariest Ghostface!
Scream 3 is ... different. BUT, it has some of my favorite moments of the entire franchise :D just... don't go into it with high expectations for Gale's hair.
Great review! I m so glad you liked it. You're right, Scream 2 is such a feel good movie that i watched it at least 300 times. No cap. I'm obsessed.
YES all the screams please
I have to say that the Broken Arrow musical cue they use for Dewey is one of my favourites in media. It suits Dewey so well and it brings so much emotion.
Oh, and as far as 3 being the weakest, the general sentiment tends to be that there are no bad Scream movies. Any of them between 2-4 can be pretty justly seen as the weakest, but each of them also have their devoted fans who consider them the best.

I just started watching the Final Destination movies again. It's a fun franchise (including the most disliked part 4 of course) and a sixth movie is in the making. I would love to see you react to these movies. Also lookung forward for the rest of the Scream movies.
Spoiler-Free Comment:
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to "Scream 2" and am eagerly anticipating your thoughts on "Scream 3." I have a particular fondness for the third movie in the series. It has a noticeably different, somewhat lighter tone, which I believe is partly due to the societal context at the time of its production.
In 1999, just before "Scream 3" began filming, the tragic Columbine massacre occurred. This event had a significant impact on the film industry, leading to heightened sensitivity around violent content. As a result, the studio faced considerable pressure, which led to several rewrites and a toned-down approach for "Scream 3."
Despite these changes, I find "Scream 3" to be a solid entry in the series. It also introduced me to the talented Parker Posey, whose performance I think you'll enjoy. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it!
I’m so happy you enjoyed Scream 2. I was worried you wouldn’t like Scream because you’ve mentioned horror comedies aren’t your thing. Welcome to the Scream fandom! Of all the major horror franchises, it is widely agreed upon that Scream is consistently good. There really isn’t one bad Scream movie. Some are better than others but they have all strong points and great rewatch value. My favorite sequels are Scream 4 and 6. Can’t wait for you to watch!
I do agree Scream 3 is the weakest but it is not a bad movie at all. It’s a different approach but it was so many strong qualities to it. Give it an open mind and you may enjoy it too 😀❤️
Scream 5 & 6 are the weakest. The writing and plot armor in these movies is just embarrassing. Especially in 6. The Murder Mystery is either non existent or feels like its written by an 10 years old.

22:45 "look at the sho-" cuts off* LMAO
The shoe obsession was hilarious. I was sure it was the new reporter but I saw this in the theater when it first came out and don't know if that's why or not. The way she took off early on then the killer showed up and always seemed to be around plus the fact that Gail had a movie deal from her book about the events of the first Scream seemed like a motive. I really didn't remember anything about this including all the people who are in it outside of Neve Campbell.
All the Scream movies range from good to great. 3 may not be a standout compared to the other movies but it's still a really good time.
i think the best option to go this journey now the best thing is don’t know anything about the franchise like Caitlyn so we’re soooo excited
I really hope this leads to an exploration of at least Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2 😂😂
The original script actually had 2 totally different killers.
The original 2 killers were supposed to be Sidneys boyfriend "yes they almost did it twice"
And his partner was Sidneys roommate.
Him and her had been having an affair and they decide to kill Sidney.
However that script got leaked, so they had to come up with 2 new killers.
So that's probably a big reason why Mickey feels so lame, because he wasn't supposed to be the killer.
I can't wait for you to get to Scream 4,. One of the best in the series
yeah… i agree with those comments you saw, third is my less favorite from this franchise but still excited to watch your reaching whenever you do it ♡
"Cozy horror" is the best description for Scream
There are a few hints that one of the killers was mrs loomis, here are the ones off the top:
-the opening kill in the bathroom, when phil stevens is listening in on the other stall. The killer is quoting lines from the psycho franchise, in which norman bates (the killer) has massive mommy issues and his mother is a split personality (the killer personality, specifically). That kill was done by mickey, based on the voice, who is talking about a killer mom. This is not only parallels the 2 killers being a man & a mom, but also echoes back to billy's mommy issues in scream 1. The Stab version of drew barrymore's death also incorporates a famous scene from psycho, which begins with the blonde supposed lead getting into the shower, only to get stabbed by norman as his "mommy" persona.
-when dewey first meets back up with sidney, he makes a comment that "if the killer is after you, you already know him, or her, or them..." not only does sidney know both mickey and mrs loomis, and is the only one who recognizes loomis, but "them" (the killers) are in fact a him and a her - revealed in that order.
-Randy's conversation with dewey, in which he mentions mrs voorhees from the friday the 13th franchise as a fantastic serial killer. Something that ghostface in scream 1 also brings up during the drew barrymore scene.
-mrs loomis as debbie herself states at one point "if the killer is basing his pattern off of woodsboro, then it would make sense that the killer is from woodsboro" (paraphrased).
You definitely should react to the rest! They have some really good twists in them
Killing Randy was the biggest mistake of the franchise and YET if they kept him around, I DO think his whole "the rules of the franchise" thing WOULD have gotten stale.
It's a weird paradox. And I know this because of a certain character in the requels. I do like her but her thing got old by movie 6.
You should do a weekly scream movie! They’re so fun. Genuinely love that franchise.
The plottwist gave you full heart-eyes.
Now you HAVE to watch all movies🔪👻
