This idea of pond rub isn't that accurate steelhead are the only hatchery fish that there dorsal fin gets deformed and it's because they nibble on there buddy in the hatchery
So awesome and it's an eye opener for sure. This just shows we need more broadstocks and more fish period. I think my favorite part of this episode is just seeing everyone catching fish and having a great time. Keep up the amazing work you all do!!!🎣
Hey jorden , I know you are thinking , who is this guy and just what does he know ? Well you know Iam old and have been addicted since about 5 year's old and have caught hundred's of steelhead ,ran charter's and comercial salmon Tuna and crab fished .a long carrear of fishing and hunting. That said I'm not joking about the spinner. You will freeking set the hook when you hear me out . I have a place that you addicts have no footage on ! Waiting for bite !
You guy's are awesome ! I am 65 and can't get out of my own way sometimes so watching you addicts keep's me dreaming ! And , Jorden we need 2 talk spinner'$
I Like what Cameron said they just need to put more fish in 35 40 years ago they started fin clipping now it's become too much money stop fin clipping and just load tributaries and Creeks all up with fish so everybody can enjoy the northwest.
What I like about your show is you all show people what you use, how to rig up. This is what makes you on top.thanks guys you all are awsome . I will tell everyone about your show.
Love your videos. Can't wait for the winter run steelhead in skoockumchuck river this year. Just got a beautiful silver jack in the nisqually River couple weeks ago. Fish on and keep those lines tight guys.
That was an awesome video. Way to go guys. Tell us how you really feel about our state run hatcheries Cameron?? It would be amazing to be able to experience this on some of our main rivers down here in the southern part of the state.
Love how the guys negative in the beginning, especially the scowl on Cameron's face. And yet marlin just put you guys through the best steelhead fishing of your lives!
Guys, I haven't even watched yet and you already got me wanting to go back! We should get together for a Addicted Northwest Rivers Fishing collab out there on the coast sometime soon!
Super jelly right now! Haven’t felt the tug in a week and got skunked today. Here you guys are not even covering water and getting steelie after steelie. Pretty work!
I agree with Cameron! Amazing how many BIG fish there are in that creek. Bad ocean my butt....bad management more like it. Amazing how this stream is of the chart yet one a few miles away and state ran is DEAD. Tight lines!!🤘
I watch you guy' s every day sometimes all day ! I grew up with the same passion you all seem to have . I tide fly's for Jim Teeny when he was just getting his product started, i didnt last l had to go fishing ! Imoved to westport in 74. After that I have been fishing for about everything ! You guy's are getting er done !!!! I have a spinner that has been right in our hand's . I live in Grayland and I was wondering if you guy's would come here and go to smith creek and find out just what I am spinning about , you will say WOW! Love your stuff !Dont ever stop !!!!!
That's awesome, I didn't know they had steelhead in GA. Need to get rid of Kate Brown and start same program in OR rivers. Now I wanna go visit my cousin in GA. Is that a special river or are all rivers like that.
Opposite of the witching hour. 1st light in New England we call the magic hour. Especially wonder fishing for striped bass, The bite turns on as 1st light hits.
Pond erosion is actually from high densities of fish nipping at each other's fins. Has nothing to do with concrete. Great video guys. Have watched this video several times!
Chelsea, this was a special trip to showcase a river that is aggressively stocked. It's not usually our gig but for a trip once I a while it's pretty worth it.
We used to have a great hatchery program for steelies but not anymore due to funding cuts 🙁. Such a drag, the cowichan river is a beautiful river and great for steelhead.
I've been watching these videos for a long time now and I'm think I'm ready because I'm going to be living in a travel trailer (my dream) we'll be eating healthy and getting lots of exercise with our 2 chihuahuas. Im really excited to be catching fish and digging clams on the coast while hubby is at work
If your being short strikes with a worm I recommend cutting another inch off your worm that way even if they short strike the shorter worm they catch the hook.
Northeastern Ohio has fantastic Steelhead trout fishing in the tributaries to Lake Erie... Chagrin River, Ashtabula River, Grand River, Rocky River....
I’m from PA and all we have are state Stocked trout basically. This would be a dream to fish a place like this! I get up to Pulaski but we all know how that is! Awesome video!
Just to let you know, here in Oregon they have fin clipping volunteer days where people go clip fins to help distinguish hatchery fish. Any retained fish must be fin clipped, no natives allowed!
So I’m from Michigan and I fish steelhead and catch steelhead over 10lbs up to 15 on 8lb main line and 6lb leader line. I guess this just proves how much different it is on the west coast. The rivers I fish are 1/3 as wide as yours and I’ve chased them 200-300 yards down river. Cool vids tho I subscribed I hope someday I can have the opportunity to try the way I fish out by you guys... words from the legend himself “lighter line means more hookups” Gary Loomis. Tight lines and good luck boys
Rouge Head as long as you have enough room to play I could do it on 2-4 just usually don’t have enough room where I fish to fight them on that light since those things are always looking for the closest cluster of big logs lol
My son and I went there in March.. water was low and clear not many fish but there were a few.. couldn't get them to take anything but looking forward to going back in the end of January.. should be better.. your guild worked harder for you guys..🙄
One of the best ones yet... ON THE RES! excellent brood stock programs prevail. Go ryan with eagle eyes guide service, I can't wait to get out to the west coast and fish with him myself that looks epic.
My first time watching this video. Great job! A hundred fishermen and everyone catching steelhead -- that's simply amazing! I understand brood stocking has been tried in other rivers and suspended. I wonder why it's so successful here?
They probably plant about 50 times the number of fish on this river then they would in our Oregon rivers. Tribal land so they can plant as many as they want
@@shaunlehman9158 Yup. Nightmare jig with a soft bead dropper. They are at the Quinalt/cook creek system. Keep in mind that every river in the state could be like this if they managed it right like the quinalt.
Wish we had steelhead in new Zealand that would be awesome. But the browns and rainbow here grow up to 10+ lb. You guys should come to nz and make a video
Epic day! I've only had 1 day like that When everyone on the bank got their limits of summer steelhead. That was back when my home river planted ton's of fish. Same home river as Jordan.
need this in my life! Have yall ever made it to fish the steelhead or salmon out of Lake Michigan? you should give it a try especially Northern Indiana

Super nice looking river. awsome pool. Great run of fish.
Thanks Henry Schmidt
Wish the natives would take over all the hatcheries!
Ya but then all the rivers would be full of fish!
Wrong answer, make them non-profit like the hatcheries in Alaska
Or get rid of hatcheries and let the wild fish population grow
Where is this river in ga.
