It is possible that they might never release the story in early access, just l BG3 of Larian they will probably release the rest of the chapters when they release the full game.
I can't imagine this game with multiplayer (I want multiplayer, but it's like Dark Souls - completely different gameplay solo and with a partner. And not always for the better.
A very very bad patch. I'm level 23 and i can't level up : no XP in crucible and no enough XP to farm on the world ( maybe play 3hour to gain a level but seriously ...) The game design is horrible.
I have finally made it to crucible, but with the changes made im not sble to get loot like everyone else did. I manage to get the exalted, the ability for the vendor to sell things and respec but food is a bitch to get ahold of and money is scarce. Im envious of others that were able to get loot. The only legendary i have is the smeared blade, but im not a fan of it @_@
@@Samonosuke don’t focus on legendary weapons, they are really bad in comparison to the rest of the weapons, even common weapons with 4 gems are better. And yes the crucible is bad now, it looks better than before but the rewards are garbage.
On the one hand, it's good that you don't have to pick up things in the dungeon - it saves time, but it also makes you a lot less money. And collecting by going through the location and collecting - I don't really want to)
@LarryPuss you need to defeat the boss to loot ... But with this update is harder . So if you need stuff you can't farm stuff in crucible ! And where to farm ? A lot of people will leave the game

@@adrianborgesdelpozo the Exalted weapons works outside of the crucible as well. It’s a huge advantage to have them. If your roll for example good stats on your weapon but the percentage of those stats are not very high you can now exalt the weapon and maximise them.
What is the point to farm the crucibles if you don’t get xp and items. Just farm crucible until you unlock all the tiers of that npc and after is pointless. Or i miss something 🧐
@@Reketok1 The loot is also bad as hell, compared to before when u could loot the entire area but the run to the Boss was only 3 lvls. For me they need to add a daily shop to the NPC using the crucible currency.
they are still there and won't go away since they are a fix part of the design. I don't feel them being a pain at all. They want to create a believable world where building a house isn't click and done but time flies by by playing the game and there's enough you can do while your upgrades are going + timers still run even if you're offline.

Regarding the new road to black trench i find it then i went inside the black trench and there is a lever to incrase water level but i cant get to the door do u know how to ?
yup me too, i'm getting like 1/3 orbs I am supposed to, btw can someone tell me what drops weapons now ? cuz I played the new crucible for like 3-4 hours now and i'm not gettint any weapons drop ...
@@jacknicholls10 drops are random, the fastest way to fam them will be the vendor Grinnich, he sells random materials, if you upgrade him he will have higher chances to have some. If you create multiple realms and go to him in every one of them he will have his shop reset. Additionally you can exit the game and change the date of your computer and this will reset his shop.
There's nothing to cover. No rest for the Wicked went silent for ages, and while 350+ bug fixes sound massive, just like cinematic changes, it's not a reason to log back in and play... and sry but crucible doesn't look like it's worthwile either. What made the game stand out was the souls-like combat, enemies and its level design. Crucible was just your average brain-dead hack-n-slash arpg, and not even an interesting one. Once you got higher gear, NRFTW's gameplay becomes (sadly) brain-dead, so there's nothing to talk about.
The problem is now, that the crucible is now intensly rescource demanding. You get nothing, if you don't win your run, but durability still lowers on loss and food won't bebrecovered. Use all your high tier food in a run. Guess you are now 30 silver in the red. That is fucking absurd.
@@JohrnyReport I agree, they made the crucible more interesting and fun in a way but the rewards for doing it are diminished. Exalted weapons are incredibly good but in order to get them is very punishable.
It's not a problem, it's a design choice. The problem is that we as players no longer want to adjust to anything. Similar to life, we don't see it as a challenge, but as a ‘step backwards’
The update is great ! Love the removal of a RNG layer of needing good stat rolls. Think a chest needs to spawn at the end of each crucible level, current is not a problem for players who can beat EK..but building a char is a lot harder without XP and loot during the run.
@@andreichetan4694 this is early access, I don’t think we will see any story progression until the full game is out. They will keep fixing things and keep changing mechanics until they are happy with, after they will work on the rest of the game. Or at least that’s how the developing process usually works, Baldur Gate 3 did the same thing, they only released the full game after they were satisfied with all the mechanics of their game. Still I was hoping to see the multiplayer aspect not the crucible, as that was what they had announced previously… and this new crucible patch looks good but it has a lot of new problems that they will now have to fix.
I am getting better fps now but it's crashing every 5 min and some of the controls have been changed like damage number on it's own. I hope they fix it soon. Anyone getting constant crashes? I have tried verifying the game files and updated cloud data nothing works
@@moonrabbit2334 I haven’t gotten any crash and I’ve been playing for hours since the new patch. Hopefully they will fix any issues soon but the fastest way to get them to work on any problems is to go on MoonStudio discord server and report the problem on the Performance Thread.
With the Crucible out of the picture for one to farm exp and equipment the game feels more daunting to those that haven't reached late game yet... I think those changes were not thought through properly.
they are. the crucible wasn't meant to be there for us to grind gear, it's meant to have it's own place to go hand in hand with the other content and not to replace it.

In this version where materials are scarce and really painful to farm to upgrade or craft anything tier 2/3 it is really bad and pointless. You can't have a uncompleted game with so much rng, timed resources spawn and and then reduce one of the best way to farm random materials and xp like that....

It's not like they put everything on hold just to work on the crucible which was already planned before they went into EA (the old crucible wasn't more than a placeholder)
@@Kingbradley845 it’s in it’s early “early” access. Probably 1-2 more years until we see a release, but it has enough content to keep you playing for hours. I myself have over 200 hours in it.
Well it depends, I think it’s a bad decision not give any experience in the Crucible, the hardest content doesn’t give you any experience… and this considering in the story they say that the crucible was a training ground made to train Cerim. So from a certain perspective it could be considered bad.

Are the time gated mechanics still there? And how much of a pain are those? That's the main thing keeping me from buying it now.

@@grabasuo7454 Boss's HP increases from the previous version. You need to buy good buffs from echoes. Plague Burst is the best.
@@NtiGame items still drop from enemies as well, it’s just lower chance then before. For the orbs, I think it’s a bug.

@@Iskandar1208 you need to farm the new currency in the crucible and go to the new NPC there, you can unlock the respec totem at that NPC.

You can only use 1 ring that gives attack speed, because there's only one
yes and no lol Yes there's only one ring but you can equip it 3 times if you find it 3 times but only 1 of them gives you a buff now.

Not a fan of the changes. Really enjoyed leveling from the dungeons and the gear drops were a great way to get money.

Same for me...game builds up RAM usage and crashes after 5 mins or so...nothing works to fix it

my fps is worse than ever especially to the boss, only around 25 or less but my dagger rune spam let me win everytime anyway😅
I also seen a frame decrease if you take the flashy Echoes that give visual changes to your build.
