Song is fire. Entire album is absolute fire. STP rules
I agree all the way. And so are you Tammy !!! Holy Wow !!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
@@larryhurley2314 haha thanks! That picture is about 10 years old now.
The distortion on his voice is when he sings through a police megaphone
Love this one. This whole album is kickass.
One of the best albums ever made
This Song is a Sleeper! Should have way more Love!
"Interstate Love Song" will make Ryan cream his pants.
When it was released, it set a record for radio play. I don't know if that's because it was played so often, but I know the record was because it was played on so many radio stations. Even pop stations were playing it.
The opener to this album is Dead & Bloated, which is also outstanding!
You are correct. Scott could sing anything!! He has a Christmas album! He’s phenomenal!
This was the opening song to most, if not all, of their concerts.
Most people that never learned the name of song call it “Roam” lol
Another great one by them that got some airplay (but not enough for my liking) was "Trippin' On AHole In A Paper Heart" from their album Tiny Music...Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop.
You couldn't turn on a radio in the early '90's and not hear STP, Peal Jam, Soundgarden, or Nirvana. I loved it.
I agree with you. I love that song too. I would also add Alice In Chains to your list of 90's groups.
@@donnakubiski5572 Most definitely! AiC was my 20's lol...I can't believe I didn't add them to that list.
I couldn't agree more. Marry me ?!!?!! 😂 A actual 90's girl who has killer taste in music.
definitely a bang-er😂 they opened all their live shows with this one. Scott never disappointed
Gotta shout the Buc-ee’s shirt! This entire album is 🔥 No. 4 is amazing as well. Down, Sour Girl and Atlanta were my favs off that one. Their entire catalogue is perfection! Dead and Bloated was their opener on this album. It just grabs you!!!
I know you guys will love SIN from this album 🔥🔥🔥
Bachman Turner Overdrive
1) taking care of business
2) Let it ride
STP for me is dirty filthy grungy sounding great music not in any certain genre which is the music I tend to gravitate towards. I love that you guys seemed to be bobble heading like you we're on that Uncles road to his house...lol...but yes this is a kick ass song!!!! Love the reactions guys❤
Love this comment so much!!!
3 best bands of that Era STP, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains
Best album released in 92/93
Just a girl named Sue, and loved the song. Weiland's voice was amazing.
I too am a girl named Sue and an M also...lol
Saw them live in NJ.
@@susanmurray7654 😀
I like it... Listen to it twice to take it in. Not sure what it means... But easy to bounce along with. I will put it on the playlist. The fact that my mind is open to early 90's "grung/alternative".... it's good!
Nice pic Ryan!! My all time fav of all of their songs. Best beat, great story he's telling.BLAST TO THE FACE
FIRE. thanks for that👍
You should watch them live too. One of the best live bands EVER
wricked garden!
Wicked Garden, Sex Type Thing, Plush, Creep
I have the album Core and bought it for the songs "Creep" and "Plush", but never listened to the whole thing. So I haven't heard this song before. I guess one day I should give the whole thing a listen because this is a great song.
You’re kidding me, right? That album is absolute fire. Probably listened to it in its entirety over 200+ times. No joke. My favorite band
@@TammyM36 No, unfortunately I am not kidding. I have bought so many albums over the years for certain songs and never played the whole album. I have a bad habit of listening to the same albums over and over again and realize I have a lot of catching up to do.
@@donnakubiski5572Same here. I've just started listening to the whole album finally. And this is one of my new favorites.
Fire up some Velvet Revolver to hear some more good Scott W. stuff.
STP...forever fire. 🤘
Saw STP At Pepsi Coliseum Indy opened up for Megadeth fn ROCKED
Try " Sex Type Thing" :)
Enjoyed that. For a completely different side of STP, try Atlanta. Moody, atmospheric.
Y’all should do Blind Melon
Maybe hit Starrider by Foreigner. Don't think it will get blocked
From STP: Dead And Bloated, Sex Type Thing, Meatplow, Kitchenware & Candybars, Vasoline, Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart, Creep, Where The River Goes, Big Empty, Unglued.
Ryan, Sex Type Thing (great jam) and Lady Picture Show( he slows it down)
Hit the purple album every song is great
One of my favorite rock albums of all time.!!! They got mixed up in that grunge era but really just
a kick ass rock band out of San Diego .
if you stick with CORE your next song should be "sex type thing"
Eagles-The King Of Hollywood is a song you guys should check out
IIRC, this one's about Scott wanting to kill his drug dealer while jonesing.
Frank zappa muffin Man Palladium live please
Their 4th album (STP No.4) had terrible muffled production compared to this debut. The sound quality in the 1990's got progressively worse in the quest to be the loudest.
I saw STP singer Scott Weiland in 2013 then a few months later I saw STP with Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington singing for STP -- they were better with Chester.
Never heard it, reminds me of Pearl Jam
Fan of both
Would rather hear STP
@@stephenpemberton85STP over PJ every time!!
