I absolutely love and am in awe of the work that went into making my authentic reborn babies. They are treasures. I also have a couple Wal-Mart dolls and I have 2 Ashton Drake dolls, not counting the porcelain dolls. My Birdie (Lara) is in my top 3 favorite dolls. AD and PG have beautiful, affordable dolls. Would I love a reborn toddler as big as Birdie, that can stand on its own and sit and be posed in so many positions? Heck yeah!! But I just don’t have $2000- $3000 plus dollars to spend on a doll, right now or maybe ever. The thing about my Birdie is I don’t have to be as careful with her. I am careful but not like with the reborns that can never be replaced and cost 2 to 10 times what she did. I will continue to purchase reborns from artists and collectors because they are incredible works of art and they feel real!! Holding one is like holding a real baby!! I’ll buy more AD dolls because I like to role play and change often and have them out and about.

I have several Paradise Galleries babies and I love them. They are more affordable for my budget. They are beautiful babies. 💜🙏🏻
I totally agree! Even if you collect reborns, it’s still fun to purchase a PG doll when you just want a new baby but don’t have a lot in your Dolly budget saved up yet!

I encourage beginners to get their feet wet with PG and Ashtons-even in the 2nd hand market and then upgrade once they feel it is a hobby they want to pursue. ❤ ty I really enjoy these topics

That's also a reason why I don't want reborn kits for my birthday or anything like that, because I know that there's a chance that the person will buy it from a fake site like Temu or something like that, even if you try to explain it to them, they'll probably forget it when they see the cheaper price and think they're saving a lot of money🙈
