I actually LOVE the Skullcrushing finale
😂
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYIN
@@CapySlappy It doesn't look half as good as Jeff Jarrett's Stroke
It's really not as bad as people say it is.
Same especially when Miz tried the Avalanche version at Wrestlemania 34. And if done super right it can look pretty devastating
You really can’t drag Miz for protecting his coworkers from getting concussions. As for Theory, he should just go back to using the original A-Town down that he used in NXT.
Becky Lynch's man handle slam 🥱
I'd argue the Dis-arm-her is worse, at least on the main roster. The move looked incredible in NXT though.
Her jump kick on the ropes in the corner thing
There's nothing wrong with Becky's Man-Handle Slam.
Bayley's Rose Plant however looks lame & weak. She deserves a much better finisher than that.
The Cody cutter. Makes no damn sense. I'm gonna jump back into my opponent, and then they are gonna fall forward.
Ospreay does it better, usually sets it up better too.
John Cena's version of the STFU 😂
Dude cena version of the STF is legendary cena said that he had to change it up because edge was literally getting choked out by cena unforgiven 2006
Cena has applied it well a few times.
Speaking on the Tree of Woe Double Stomp, Low Ki used to grind his foot on the knee of his opponent causing them to sit up to try and stop the pain. His made sense.
Ummm, where is the Rocks terrible sharp shooter????
Pin this persons comment
What you mean, it’s a sharpshooter
@@BlaxkSunum, do your eyes work? It's the worst sharpshooter in the business.
@@SkunkApe407 it’s the fuxk looks like any other, from Bret to Sting to Natalya
@@BlaxkSun no, it doesn't. It's sloppy, slow, and isn't at a high enough angle to look painful. Even Rocky admits his is kinda trash.
The reason Darby's dives look so good is that you're never quite sure if he is trying to end himself in a match.
Yes, this. Darby was the first guy I though did this move right. It probably helps that he's not that big so he really looks like he can fit effortlessly through those ropes, but his gimmick is that he has no self preservation instinct and he lives it.
Primetime Elix Skipper is the only man that can make the Overdrive look good. SAY IT, SAY HIS NAME ... PRIMETIME BABY!
John Blud's favorite finisher
Primetime did, Primetime did
The Rock and Natalie's Sharpshooter. They cross the legs incorrectly which eliminates the turning mechanism of the technique.
Great catch
I still pop for tower of dooms
I’ve never seen Eddie Kingston beautifully execute a move so.. the machine gun chops are on par for him as far as I’ve seen.
Suicide dives look especially dumb when 3 or 4 wrestlers conveniently grouped together to break the fall of the diver.
The video title is a bit misleading... moves that NEVER look good, yet you give examples of people who do them well ...
It's WhatCulture these guys are tripping half the time
Gareth will never do these lists as well as Simon.
@@DragonHeart613I like Gareth tho. Him and Jules are my favs if Simon isn’t around
@@DragonHeart613 of course not. Simon is the goat!
@@Segwo Jules? Didn't he leave WC a long time ago? I haven't seen him on the channel in ages.
Skull crushing finale is under appreciated smh.
😂😂😂
my biggest issue with the tower of doom spot is the person at the bottom is somehow obliterated as well when they shouldnt be. i understand the wrestler at the top. they should be selling the most. but the person at the bottom should be relatively okay.
They're exhausted after having to lift 20 dudes on their back, I dunno. I always thought the spot was particularly contrived but what do I know...
I've always hated Christian's Unprettier. It seems like the weakest move to get caught in. Just pull your arms away and push him.
The womens division has often had awful finishers sadly. But Charlotte Flair's pin finisher, Natural Selection, is just the dumbest thing Ive ever seen. Charlotte takes all the impact, does a flip while touching the opponents head for a half second, enough to tickle them maybe. Its just so bad, I would refuse to take a pin to that trash.
Big punk fan here but deff the worst elbow drop in the game
Tower Of Doom is such a boring and uninteresting spot, glad I ain’t the only one who feels that way
The skull crushing finale has more to do with how opponents take the finisher and less how to do with what Miz can control. He does everything right to make it look good.
10:06 "CM Punk's GTS" KENTA would like a word
Punk's never been a technical master. Just about all his moves are awful. His best work is on the mic and in his selling of taking moves, not in executing them.
Bayley a member of Damage Control. How long does it take to get a video posted?
The flying elbow looked good when Macho Man Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels did it. Then CM punk had to use it, and ruined the move.
We need more of Kairi then, her version is also very good.
@@killingragethrowback I'd say Kairi's is actually better. Bc Kairi's looks more devastating.
@@patrickmcgavin2245 Didn't say it wasn't. The reason I went looking for Kairi Hojo matches before WWE even expressed interest in her was because I heard she had that best elbow drop in the business. It lives up to the hype.
Unfortunately, Seth Rollins not using the Pedigree as a finisher is beginning to put it in Superkick territory. It's a finisher that never finishes matches and is "The finisher the opponent kicks out of for a false finish" Every time now. I don't know why anyone buys that a Pedigree is going to end a match at this point with how often it's used to just be a near fall these days.
"NEVER" is quite a definitive statement that leaves you open for a single example refuting the claim. Case in point, Seth Rollins hitting the Pedigree to counter Roman's spear looked great.
"8 times we picked crappy moves that WWE wrestlers do, along with 1 generic pick and 1 obvious AEW pick to fend off the people who claim we favor AEW" 😂
Seriously, though, as soon as I saw the list was going to call out specific wrestlers and the first two were WWE guys, I thought to myself "They can't make a list like this without calling out Eddie's chops or some of the sloppy lucha crap that's on Dynamite every show." Then they did the bare minimum to wave away criticism. Effing golden.
I'd like to add that Low Ki doing the hanging stomp always looked like it made sense because he would grind on his opponents knee with his foot prompting then to rear up to stop him, then he'd stomp them.
Almost as if wrestling moves are supposed to have a certain logical flow and not just be a random mess of tangled limbs lol
Glad someone called out Punk's awful elbow drop.
The Rock’s Sharpshooter should’ve been on this list.
Swerve strickland is awesome but the swerve stomp is terrible. His opponents literally have to sit up and watch him set up the move.
Ive allways said, Bayley needs to do a powerbomb as her finisher. Preferably a sit down powerbomb like a Batista Bomb. Hell the name is there, Baley Bomb
Bayley can bust out a pretty nasty DDT, maybe a variant on that could be a believable finisher. Gotta build it a la the Evenflow DDT
What about if she used Ambrose's old headlock driver? The Rose Plant is more or less a worse version of that.
I’ve never liked Edge’s spear. I’d be okay with it if it were just a signature move, but it looks to weak to be his finisher. Also, it kind of looks like a self DDT.
How is the Bronco buster not on this list?
Probably because you were never meant to take the Bronco Buster seriously. It was intentionally stupid.
Cheers for crediting a Reddit post and community for inspiring content. I regularly see other creators ripping off Reddit posts and comments and passing them off as their own lists and ideas and the simple act of shouting them out in the intro is all it takes to make it cool.
Now, I love The Undertaker, and he has some of the best finishers in the business, but I’ve always found “Old School” to be ridiculous. Like who is really gonna stand there and let someone climb a turnbuckle and walk a rope like that while mildly holding their arm 😂
Even as a child I thought the same thing lol
The only way a suicide dive looks good is when Samoa Joe moves.
Give Bayley the Brain Buster and call it the Bayley Buster so you can have Michael Cole scream “Bayley-Busssttttaaa”
That's because CM Punk isn't very good. He's never been a good worker.
Skull crushing finale is not that bad. I actually like it.
I have seen SO MUCH Skull Crushing Finale hate recently and I don't get why, the move looks fine to me. Don't get me wrong, the move isn't great but it certainly isn't bad, it is perfectly fine
How isn’t ObLIVion here? lol
Skull Crushing Finale on the list? Seriously?
GTS always looks like it does nothing and Brocks F5 is just dropping your opponent from about 6 feet onto their front.
People's elbow?
The Rock sharpshooter?
The people’s elbows isn’t bad at all compared to ultimate warriors finisher
Another awful move is when a wrestler jumps from the top rope while Many wtestlers are standing there waiting to be hit in a lame way.
How is John Cena's STFU or 5 Knuckle Shuffle not on here?
CM Punk’s body positioning of the Macho Elbow may be intentional. He often lands in Open Scarf: a position common in Jujutsu and BJJ which, with a quick scissoring of his legs and the appropriate arm entanglement, allows him to transition into the Anaconda Vice if he so chooses.
Admittedly, it doesn’t look very pretty, but that may indeed be the reason why. Just a thought.
Also; while the Skull-crushing Finale might not live up to its name, you can’t blame the performer taking the move for attempting a front break fall to protect themselves, especially given the legislation surrounding concussions and CTE these days. I mean you never see people getting mocked for break falling a steel steps spot, do you? It’s the same principle.
Again, just saying…
The fact that you poo-poo'd the Tower of Doom leads me to believe you aren't about Goofy Wrestling for Life.
Do better.
Id say Logan's knock out punch. I mean it does look good, but really doesn't seem like a finisher, for someone like Big Show yes, but for Logan Paul against people who have wrestled for years as well as a bunch of people bigger than him? Nah. It's also tiring hearing about the titanium screws in his knuckles to try to sell it to be dangerous. Also yeah agreed with Shane McMahon too, the punches just don't look good for someone like him to be doing them.
Rose plant defo better than bayley to jelly. She needs a perfect finisher
Punk's flying elbow has always looked terrible.
I honestly don't see the issue with safer suicide dives, nor do I see the problem with the Tower of Doom spots and while I agree with some things on the list like the A-Town and rose plant being terrible finishers a lot of this list is still nitpicking.
Yea their lists have really fallen off in quality and credibility for awhile. I think they probably get most of their shit from Reddit
The bit about dives was so dumb, of course you'd want to not end yourself and the person you're diving at. What kind of backyard mud show aficionado wrote this part?
No! SCF is good finisher, but not maybe now. But when The Miz was real Main Event superstart (09-11) and this Finisher was like counter move… it was good. Best of course when he counter RKO and won WWE title. It also looked very good when Miz pushed someone into the corner, pulled them towards him and performed the Scull Crushing Finale, but I don't remember who it was on.
Reddit...you'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.
The A town down looks awful the fact that WWE booked theory to beat cena is wild and disrespectful
Umm, Cena lost that match due to a low blow, unless you are talking about a different Austin/Cena match
@@jamesreece9502 lmao it was a typo my fault
Personally I don't understand all the hate for Theorys ATL, I love the Ataxia as much as the next guy but whats the point of having a finisher if you can only hit it on Carmelo Hayes?
John Morrison’s Starship Pain always looks terrible
That stupid rebound clothesline that Dean Ambrose used to do. I dont watch AEW much, so not sure if he still does it, but his opponents always look like idiots standing there waiting for it
To be fair, there are plenty of wrestlers you guys put over allll the time where everything they do looks phony as hell. I realize this is just a standard top 10 video but still. Eddie’s chops are bad, but 98% of wrestling punches today look terrible.
Theory should do a TKO as his finisher...By the way Bayley vs Banks at Brooklyn was my favorite Bayley match
Okay yeah I'm not a fan of the machine gun chops tbh; I know Kingston has an _ironclad reason to use that,_ and I'm not gonna knock the sentimentality of it-- but man I kinda wish he'd retire it because correct, his 'one heavy shot' always looks rougher than his machine guns.
I don't understand why wrestlers don't just play WWE 2K and check the movesets for finosher ideas
I feel like it’s a meme to just hate on the Skull Crushing finale it’s an awesome move
Okada’s rainmaker not making it 😂. Literally a ripcord lariat that finishes a match when he’s suppose to be the best Japanese wrestler currently…
I actually love the Suicide Dive. And whoever can do it should keep on doing it tbh. Also Seth Rollins suicide dive looks pretty amazing ngl. And CM Punk's diving elbow tbh isn't the worst. It's not the best sure but I like it. I think it's good enough
Cena's STF and the overdrive/playmaker should've been on here
How is SCF on this list… butt THE REAR VIEW isn’t? The rear view is the dumbest move not openly treated ridiculous that i’ve ever seen…
Austin Theory should switch back to the Jumping TKO he had at one point. Also his current finisher is borrowed from Shawn Spears when he was Tye Dillinger
Tye Dillenger had to adjust to that version of his finisher upon his callup to Smackdown because AJ Styles was using Tye’s NXT finisher as a set up…
At Fastlane 2016, Del Rio hit a really good double stomp that was preceded by a counter of throwing Kalisto’s legs into the ropes. Probably the only time the move actually seemed effective.
The hanging stomp and tower of doom are my absolute pet peeves. Really take you out of suspending disbelief.
Styles Clash
Shining Wizard
Judas Effect
Kingston's spinning back fist
Meltzer Driver
Anytime there's a group of wrestlers waiting to have another jump on them
Yeah, 1:56
This move would look way better if the person taking it didn't pull themselves up so early, they should be acting stunned or knocked out until the other person is up. The person delivering the move should be the one waiting for the other person to try and pull up, either that or it should be a quick spring board maneuver. 🤷♂️
Yeah I'm sorry but the Tower of Doom thing gets a pop from me every time. Lol
Easily one of the dumbest spots in wrestling.
Claudio Neutralizer is the 1st move i thought of lol
I hate the Backslide Pin, it is so complicated to do and I feel like the opponent has to try to not fall out of it.
I don’t get the hate for the skull crushing finale!! There’s nothing wrong with it… it gets too much hate
Becky's manhandle slam should arguably be top 3 on this list. It's awful
A Town Down = F5 + GTS
Agreed Gareth, thanks. Also, please bring back AEW Collision ups and downs, thanks.
So what I’m hearing is, you couldn’t come up with a list on your own so you had to steal the comments from a fucking reddit post
I came here for the bear hug 🐻
The Clutch slam thing Jinder does, with a good finisher he could have been more convincing during his push.
Roseplant is so underrated
You sound like a non-fan, "pointing out" this shit to fans who already know, but are willing to suspend disbelief...
Thank you! The machine gun chops that Eddie does look so lame. Jay White actually had better looking/sounding machine gun chops than Eddie does.
IYO nearly killed herself at Mania to make the Rose Plant look good; and if a fan (likely many) aren't aware of Bayley's first ring name, the name of the *move* doesn't make sense, either...
Roman should’ve adopted the pedigree
I would add brauns power slam to this. When compared to british bulldogs it just doesn't measure up
Crossroads finisher is a yawnfest
I’m surprised the 619 didn’t make the list. It would look so much better without Rey going to the other side of the ring before executing it
It would look trash without the run-up.
Half the reason Dom's doesn't look as good is because he's too tall and has to slow down and duck before he goes for the swing. If Rey didn't get the speed from crossing the ring he wouldn't be able to swing so cleanly.
@@Raccido with the run-up, it looks incredibly contrived.
@@BurnerChannel01 "Contrived" is better than "weak".
99% of wrestling moves look contrived if you start looking at them cynically.
What's ironic about the corner double stomp, is that the fix is really easy:
Change the sequence of events. Rather than hold on and wait for your opponent to hit the stomp on you, wait until the person delivering the stomp is almost there, set yourself up there as if you're Mufasa getting killed by Scarr in the first Lion King movie, then STOMP!
Such an easy fix and its silly.
Drew McIntyre did that!
I love the skull crushing finale
I never liked the grapevine. Looks like the wrestler executing it is knocking the wind out of himself
My favorite Bayley match was the Hell In A Cell match against Sasha in 2020
Shane Mcmahons lameo punches and yes the double stomps!!
Eddies chops are gahbage. Big fan of his but greatly dislike the chops.
Austin Theory had a pretty good finisher in nxt but they've changed it because it was too similar with the RKO ...quite sad
No sharpshooter yet we have skull crushing finale here??
