Farmer on the Prairie is about my life on our central Illinois farm. My name is Seth and I am a young farmer with the desire to get things done and to keep the farm running smoothly. The farm is 740 row crop acres and 100 acres of pasture. We run about 100 grass-fed cattle and 1500 meat birds a year. Throughout my videos, you will get to know Dad, MommaD, and Sister. My brothers Josiah and Luke help us whenever there is a big project so they can feel important. We also have a part time employee Ben who is the comic relief. Because so many different things happen on our farm, there is never a dull moment. So tap that Subscribe button and come along for the ride!
After seeing numerous different farming Channels with all their big beautiful equipment I am of the believe that Farmer on the Prairie is more typical of the average American Farmer more struggles with equipment and making ends meet
No. One works harder than a farmer , god bless you and your entire family
👍👍👍. Greets from Poland
No one works harder than a farmer who feeds an ungrateful population, ignorant of the frmer's struggle to keep in business
Best farming channel I watch
Thank you
That is a lot of dust! Proves it is an important job. Keep on going.
One of the best channels! Mama D does some professional editing!
The farmer that cash rents my Dad's crop acreage bought a 1660 with high hours but the price was so low he couldn't pass. 10 years on and he's still running it and made him switch from Massey Ferguson to Case IH combines. The 1660 is a fine machine and one of the best combines ever made.
Is yours the Cummins or IH engine? Being a purist I liked the IH engines as they were much quieter-I still weep over the demise of IH after I grew up on grandpa's 'M', a 400, and my Dad's beloved 856. We never were able to get an Axial-Flow. My Dad was still using his old 403 IH up to '92 when he decided to start working to make ends meet as we only have 320 acres. Greetings from Missouri!
Nothing sweeter sounding than old IH
Got to love the classic equipment that is still going and helping farmers go.
A working equipment is never old
Great video seth , keep on killing it. We americans need you farmers. :)
She was suckin' diesel and doing a great job. The sound of that engine is amazing. Keep 'er lit.
Seth, thanks for the video. Hopefully you and the family have a trouble free harvest and good yields (and prices of course). God bless!
That Case is an amazing Combine, but she could do with a few more lights on the front to help light up the crops that are being harvested. Also I love that blower!! need that after my shower instead of a towel so that I'd be dry in no time!! :D As my old boss used to "the 5 P's are important when you are working" They are Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. By using the blower it has 99.9% prevented the chance of a Combine Fire, which nobody wants to see happen on this channel as you guys are awesome!!!!!! 10/10 guys. Keep on Farming
I agree that bean dust is just the worst! Good job Seth!
Mercy that blower is a beast. Working safely and keeping the equipment in good shape is one of the most important jobs on the farm, good job Seth. Thank you for the vid.
Another day well done! Great video.
Thank you
Just watched the video of the guy that was ejected out of combine when header fell off going down the road, please wear your seatbelt ! I really like your channel 👍
Nice job Seth.
Enjoy your videos!
Thank you!
Hi Seth. Glad to come home and see a video from you. Always like the machines that you farmers use, they are amazing. I can't imagine how stressful the weather makes your farm life. Seems it is getting more and more intense and unpredictable. Enjoy the shower and have a great night.
Good ol combine, still sufficient and great shape for their size of operation.
No warm up, thats nice for the engine…
Book it to the shop we've all those moments.
Wow you get as much road time as field time
really good video, really enjoyed it what was that song that you played at the end, it really good
The best.
Seth, Elton Musk is looking for one of his booster rockets. I think you have been using it as a leaf blower. So nice to see a typical farm operation. Just like small family farms in Western Canada. It is not the age of the equipment it is how well it has been maintained. Great video Thank You.
Great video Seth so you think you’ll upgrade combines
can you point the camera forward when your driving so we can see the harvesting?
What year is the combine if you don't mind me asking?
My grandpa has a 1660
..seth better be talking about this tractor and not his mom...😎🤭🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️
Has any of you guy’s tractor caught on fire ?
Did you had any problem when soybeans stubble are green?
What model number platform on the combine?
What model Hagie do you have?
Q n A?
Look back a couple months.
YOU WILL LEARN TO PUT THAT AUGER AWAY AFTRE YOU HIT A TREE OR POLE
