Cassandra M doctors have no clue yet. I woke up one morning and couldn’t feel my whole left leg. It improved then again a month later I woke up and couldn’t feel both legs! I got my right leg back but nothing on my left leg...

I was fifteen when I read a book ----- The Power of Positive Thinking ----- Wow, I have been practicing it for over forty years. It really works........ strongly recommend.

I have practiced positive actions......When I'm in a store (anywhere), and I see clothing (items)that have fallen on the floor, I pick it up and put it where it belongs.......first time I did this made me feel good that I was doing something out of my norm... There were times I would have an angry (Kmart) customer..... I made it my goal to use my skills to make that customer happy when they walked out the door. Often customers would call back and apologize for their behavior or their spouse's, commenting how well I handled the situation. There is a karma effect I have noticed when I practice such actions in a positive way. To start your day.... Think of something you can do for others, buy a coffee☕, offer assistance, wipe snow off a coworkers wind shield (don't tell them), when you don't (please don't) expect a response, you can't get upset.... just the act of doing something nice is a self pat on the back. I don't wait for anyone (Boss) to pat me on the back... I find that the reactions that I get for doing something (nice) for someone ...is powerful.... When you do get UNEXPECTED positive acknowledgment, that's even better. I remind myself at times that there are plenty of others who are in greater need than I. Many a times I am reminded of sadness others suffer ..... to wake me up. I also am encouraged by seeing those who work through their daily challenges and reach their goals. Practicing my Power of Positive Thinking.... has opened many doors in my life. People have noticed this and I have had Wonderful job opportunities ...... Oh I could go on.....😊😊 At the end of the day I have a good feeling inside ..................... The Power of Positive Thinking/Doing. PLease Take Of Yourself.... We need you!!!!

I get excited each time I get a notification on my phone. Can't wait to watch. You both are down to earth , fun loving and caring people, love you guys.
I relate so deeply with Cole when he talks about having to be re-assessed all the time for his medical benefits(?) (I'm in Canada so my apologies if that was incorrect wording...our healthcare systems are so different.) I have bone marrow cancer (Myelofibrosis) and the government kept wanting to re-assess me to make sure I'm still eligible for disability payments. It made me want to scream. Yes, I'm dying of cancer. And unfortunately, that's not going to change unless some miracle treatment is developed. (I'm not a good candidate for a bone marrow transplant...it's a long, complicated story). Having to *prove* to our healthcare system on an ongoing basis that I'm dying and there's nothing I can do about it is soul crushing. I finally broke down to my Dr and told her that I can't keep *proving* that I'm dying. So the last time I was re-assessed (they always need documentation from my Drs), she let them know, point blank, that I'm probably never going to improve. I'm going to keep getting worse until the inevitable happens. So they finally approved me for my disability, without re-assessment until I pass away. I should never again have to prove to anyone that I'm dying. It's such a relief. This is after over a decade of trying to prove to people how sick I was. My cancer is "slow progressing", so nobody would believe me when I told them something was seriously wrong. Drs literally told me that I was "just lazy". For at least a decade. Meanwhile my cancer was actively destroying my liver and spleen. The proof was right in front of their eyes, and they couldn't see it. They convinced me that I was a lazy person. So I tell everyone now - if you *know* something is wrong, and nobody will listen, you have to *fight* for your diagnosis. Nobody will do it for you. Sorry for my rant. The Gov and healthcare industry make me crazy. I'm *SO* happy to hear that Cole doesn't have to *prove* his condition to anyone anymore. Unless you've been through it, you truly can't imagine how frustrating that is. You're both wonderful! Huge hugs and love from Canada! 😊❤🇨🇦❤😊

Oddly enough, earlier today i was looking into careers as the person who has to assess patients for their medical services. It seemed that it would be so difficult to work in an office and basically decide the fate of the health of someone I have never met! I live in California and there’s a big stereotype that Canada has healthcare that satisfies everyone, so it was interesting to see that you have similar frustrations with healthcare. Of course, I cannot truly understand how difficult that can be on top of having cancer. I’m sure this means nothing but I am proud of you for sticking up for yourself. You’re right. Too many people die because they aren’t taken seriously by their health professionals, or can’t receive the proper care. I hope that, in the future, you are respected and heard by your healthcare professionals - and I hope that you stay safe & have great joy in your life. I am sending all of my positive energy your way, if that means anything at all. I am just thinking of you and wishing you the best.

Cole, to be honest I think about you a lot. I have a lot of setbacks in my life, a lot of them are my own doing, and friends, peers all seem like they're getting ahead in life. You probably know that feeling better than I do, the temptation of wallowing in self pity. I think about you because you are the ultimate example of the fact that it's all really a mindset. You could have the worst things happen to you in life but as long as you get up out of bed every day and do something productive every day you can have a great life, a great VLOG series, a great wife, hah.

As I'm listening to comments of people, I just assumed that you saw Cole and not his disability. I could be wrong. The Bible has taught me that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You look beyond the outer appearance and see that person's heart, bc you can be beautiful on the outside with a heart of stone (cold). Many BLESSINGS and much love 🌹.
I've learned to accept that sometimes I'm groggy, sometimes I'm not feeling my best, this is not.my norm. Although I may feel down I'm still remain respectful. I can tell some peoole dont know how to deal with others emotions. Get this, others people's feelings are not your responsibility. Don't try to be a people pleaser. Work on you and know how to live with your emotions in a healthy way.

I discovered Cole and Charisma channel just a few days ago and i keep on watching one video after another. Cole and Charismaa is a beautiful love story that is real.. I pray things will get better and their love last to the end. Cole is a handsome loving and caring guy. In one of the video they were in the swimming pool.. Cole pulled up Charisma top so she wont get exposed and embarrassed. That touched my heart.. and am in love with Cole! and because of Cole and Charisma I see not just Quadriplegic but all handicap people differently. You both shared knowledge and experience with other Quadriplegic and caregivers but also change other people perspective for the better along the way..like me!
That was so much fun just watching the two of you be you. Weddings are stressful, buying a house is stressful and renovating a house is just plan crazy so be stressed and crazy all you want this too shall pass and thanks for the info on counseling. Just showed this channel to one of my sweet customers who just took up a caregiving job for a quadriplegic man in his early 40s...she trained a bit with the last caretaker but she was still feeling a little overwhelmed by her responsibilities so I told her to watch these videos to see how Charisma helps Cole and Visa versa, while maybe not exactly all of the same day to day tasks, as her client has some more disabilities than Cole...I think this couple really shows how some of the necessary and monotonous tasks of taking care of someone in a wheelchair can be less overwhelming if you are enjoying each other's company and how patience for one another and a sense of humor can really smooth an uneven road.

I have disability too, It's a different kind. I have cerebral palsy from birth. It's caused by damage to the brain. It affects muscle coordination and tightness. Since it's based in the brain there are often learning issues such as slower information processing. I can completely relate to what you're saying Cole about social security and insurance stuff. It does seem like they make it intentionally difficult. It can be so stressful! I'm affected by other people's energy too, very much. It can be difficult but I think it's also a gift. to see the beauty of your relationship and the commitment you have to each other is wonderful. I’ve gotten so used to your “And staayyy positive,” that I tell it to myself all of the time. It worked particularly well one day when I almost hung up on a supervisor for trying to come at me with a piss poor attitude because they were texting the wrong number, thinking I was ignoring them. I did not let that call ruin my morning or the rest of my day. Not giving other people power over another day the Lord has blessed me with.

I have practiced positive actions......When I'm in a store (anywhere), and I see clothing (items)that have fallen on the floor, I pick it up and put it where it belongs.......first time I did this made me feel good that I was doing something out of my norm... There were times I would have an angry (Kmart) customer..... I made it my goal to use my skills to make that customer happy when they walked out the door. Often customers would call back and apologize for their behavior or their spouse's, commenting how well I handled the situation. There is a karma effect I have noticed when I practice such actions in a positive way. To start your day.... Think of something you can do for others, buy a coffee☕, offer assistance, wipe snow off a coworkers wind shield (don't tell them), when you don't (please don't) expect a response, you can't get upset.... just the act of doing something nice is a self pat on the back. I don't wait for anyone (Boss) to pat me on the back... I find that the reactions that I get for doing something (nice) for someone ...is powerful.... When you do get UNEXPECTED positive acknowledgment, that's even better. I remind myself at times that there are plenty of others who are in greater need than I. Many a times I am reminded of sadness others suffer ..... to wake me up. I also am encouraged by seeing those who work through their daily challenges and reach their goals. Practicing my Power of Positive

I relate so deeply with Cole when he talks about having to be re-assessed all the time for his medical benefits(?) (I'm in Canada so my apologies if that was incorrect wording...our healthcare systems are so different.)
I have bone marrow cancer (Myelofibrosis) and the government kept wanting to re-assess me to make sure I'm still eligible for disability payments.
It made me want to scream.
Yes, I'm dying of cancer.
And unfortunately, that's not going to change unless some miracle treatment is developed. (I'm not a good candidate for a bone marrow transplant...it's a long, complicated story).
Having to *prove* to our healthcare system on an ongoing basis that I'm dying and there's nothing I can do about it is soul crushing. I finally broke down to my Dr and told her that I can't keep *proving* that I'm dying.
So the last time I was re-assessed (they always need documentation from my Drs), she let them know, point blank, that I'm probably never going to improve. I'm going to keep getting worse until the inevitable happens.
So they finally approved me for my disability, without re-assessment until I pass away.
I should never again have to prove to anyone that I'm dying.
It's such a relief.
This is after over a decade of trying to prove to people how sick I was. My cancer is "slow progressing", so nobody would believe me when I told them something was seriously wrong.
Drs literally told me that I was "just lazy".
For at least a decade.
Meanwhile my cancer was actively destroying my liver and spleen. The proof was right in front of their eyes, and they couldn't see it.
They convinced me that I was a lazy person.
So I tell everyone now - if you *know* something is wrong, and nobody will listen, you have to *fight* for your diagnosis. Nobody will do it for you.
Sorry for my rant.
The Gov and healthcare industry make me crazy.
I'm *SO* happy to hear that Cole doesn't have to *prove* his condition to anyone anymore.
Unless you've been through it, you truly can't imagine how frustrating that is.

Oddly enough, earlier today i was looking into careers as the person who has to assess patients for their medical services. It seemed that it would be so difficult to work in an office and basically decide the fate of the health of someone I have never met!
I live in California and there’s a big stereotype that Canada has healthcare that satisfies everyone, so it was interesting to see that you have similar frustrations with healthcare.
Of course, I cannot truly understand how difficult that can be on top of having cancer. I’m sure this means nothing but I am proud of you for sticking up for yourself. You’re right. Too many people die because they aren’t taken seriously by their health professionals, or can’t receive the proper care.
I hope that, in the future, you are respected and heard by your healthcare professionals - and I hope that you stay safe & have great joy in your life. I am sending all of my positive energy your way, if that means anything at all. I am just thinking of you and wishing you the best.

Cole, to be honest I think about you a lot. I have a lot of setbacks in my life, a lot of them are my own doing, and friends, peers all seem like they're getting ahead in life. You probably know that feeling better than I do, the temptation of wallowing in self pity.
I think about you because you are the ultimate example of the fact that it's all really a mindset. You could have the worst things happen to you in life but as long as you get up out of bed every day and do something productive every day you can have a great life, a great VLOG series, a great wife, hah.

As I'm listening to comments of people, I just assumed that you saw Cole and not his disability. I could be wrong. The Bible has taught me that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You look beyond the outer appearance and see that person's heart, bc you can be beautiful on the outside with a heart of stone (cold). Many BLESSINGS and much love 🌹.
I've learned to accept that sometimes I'm groggy, sometimes I'm not feeling my best, this is not.my norm. Although I may feel down I'm still remain respectful. I can tell some peoole dont know how to deal with others emotions. Get this, others people's feelings are not your responsibility. Don't try to be a people pleaser. Work on you and know how to live with your emotions in a healthy way.
Being positive isn’t all smiles and laughter. Positivity is being grateful, always... especially during the down times. 😊

I discovered Cole and Charisma channel just a few days ago and i keep on watching one video after another. Cole and Charismaa is a beautiful love story that is real.. I pray things will get better and their love last to the end. Cole is a handsome loving and caring guy. In one of the video they were in the swimming pool.. Cole pulled up Charisma top so she wont get exposed and embarrassed. That touched my heart.. and am in love with Cole! and because of Cole and Charisma I see not just Quadriplegic but all handicap people differently. You both shared knowledge and experience with other Quadriplegic and caregivers but also change other people perspective for the better along the way..like me!

Just showed this channel to one of my sweet customers who just took up a caregiving job for a quadriplegic man in his early 40s...she trained a bit with the last caretaker but she was still feeling a little overwhelmed by her responsibilities so I told her to watch these videos to see how Charisma helps Cole and Visa versa, while maybe not exactly all of the same day to day tasks, as her client has some more disabilities than Cole...I think this couple really shows how some of the necessary and monotonous tasks of taking care of someone in a wheelchair can be less overwhelming if you are enjoying each other's company and how patience for one another and a sense of humor can really smooth an uneven road.
I really appreciate this video; especially being a new "caregiver" for a very close family member.

That's cause a lot of youtuber's tend to use a "internet personality" that's way different than who they are off camera, so not many people are genuine on camera as they are off camera. You two are funny!
It's empathy... I'm the same way... I tend to hide away in my 4 walls away from negativity..... I love you guys... My fiancee's brother is a quad due to a motorcycle accident and Cole reminds me of him with his goofiness, silly antics, and upbeat attitude... Charisma you are a beautiful soul and you are both so lucky and blessed to have each other...

I have disability too, It's a different kind. I have cerebral palsy from birth. It's caused by damage to the brain. It affects muscle coordination and tightness. Since it's based in the brain there are often learning issues such as slower information processing. I can completely relate to what you're saying Cole about social security and insurance stuff. It does seem like they make it intentionally difficult. It can be so stressful! I'm affected by other people's energy too, very much. It can be difficult but I think it's also a gift. to see the beauty of your relationship and the commitment you have to each other is wonderful. And I think part of that is because you are both sensitive to each other. I have a blog. I haven't written in a while because life just is happening. I can get overwhelmed pretty easily. I’ve gotten so used to your “And staayyy positive,” that I tell it to myself all of the time.
It worked particularly well one day when I almost hung up on a supervisor for trying to come at me with a piss poor attitude because they were texting the wrong number, thinking I was ignoring them. I did not let that call ruin my morning or the rest of my day. Not giving other people power over another day the Lord has blessed me with.
Your last sentence is so, so true. I definitely want to learn to stop letting little things irritate me as much as they do.
