One thing to add, keep it as it is, a 1940 Car. America does not need another hotrod just authentic historical beauties like this.

SO TRUE. Far Too Many Have Been Chopped And Dropped And Butchered Up, Calling Them "Customized". However A Classic Beauty, (That Americans First Fell In Love With), Can Only Be RUINED ONE TIME. You Can Add Engine Upgrades And Overdrive Transmissions So It Keeps Up With Today's Traffic Better, But The Speed Limits STILL REMAIN THE SAME...

Yeah, back when American car manufacturers and automotive engineers knew how to build cars with style and class. 😍

This would be almost impossible to find in Canada since in 1940 we were at war. People who brought in new cars from the states were pretty unpopular with families who had sons in the Navy, Merchant Marine, Airforce & Army. Total war means the shut down of civilian production. Life was frugal in Canada from the early fall of 1939 to the end of 1945. Unlike the British rationing ended with the war. Your 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe is beautiful, rare for Canadians to see, and I admire everything done over many years so that in 2022 it is so very stunning.

Sorry. American WWII Involvement Didn't Begin Until December Of 1941. And Auto Production Pretty Much Ended In February Of 1942. So There Were Plenty Of 1940 Cars Available During That Year...

Later mill makes sense, they were upgraded by a guy Ford stole from Oldsmobile and ran cooler. Trick is truck belhouse and water pumps. Slice pieces of later hoses and insert into 40 hoses to mate up to radiator.

I own 40 coupe deluxe. unfortunately it was left to waste away and the previous owner butchered many things. I guess its just a hot rod . too bad.

Not Only Could The Car Use A NEW Aluminum Radiator, But The Engine Is Also NOT Original. It Looks To Be A 239 Ford Or A 255 Mercury Engine From ThE Late 40,s To The Early 50's. You Can Tell By The Location Of The Distributor And The Forward Water Tube Location On The Heads. The Guy Spends TOO MUCH Time on The Paint And Trim Work, But NOTHING About The Drivetrain By Having It Up A Lift...
