I’m from Ukraine, Eric is my favorite chess content creator. Lately I like to watch Eric’s videos just to relax and don’t think about war over here just for some time. I watched this and in few minutes It was so special and moving to me to see my favorite vloggers made a fundraiser for Ukraine. Thank you guys for support! We really appreciate it!
The two games Eric and Andrea played were especially funny and evocative of their respective styles 🙂 . First game starts as London and ends with Andrea playing the trademark Botez gambit . Second game , Eric wants to win by checkmate rather than on time but both Eric and Andrea take turns playing the Botez gambit and ends up by Eric checkmating Andrea . 😁 . Hope Eric gets nominated for the chess streamer awards and wins like the Botez sisters .
I met Eric at the Gibraltar Chess Event. He told me to go back playing checkers after pulling down my pants in front of everyone and laughing at me straight for a whole minute, chanting "Oh no! My Pants!" Such an aweful encounter.
I actually loved the battle of the sexes and your analysis of the games. It may not be the best content for UA-cam's algorithm but for me, it was the best type of content. I really like seeing people try difficult tournaments and learning from their games. Thank you, and I hope to see more.
1:39 There's a funny line: 5.Nc3 threatens both 6.Nb5 and 6.Nd5 with a fork supported by the bishop. Black can't protect both squares at once. And if 5. ...,Kd8 to expel the fork, now the queen falls into other trap: 6. Nxd5 threatening the Q, 6. ..., Qa5+ 7.b4, Nxb4 8.Bc7+
so, i have to have the sound on full to hear eric on the phone.... and when Andrea talks, i have to cover the phone speaker with my thumb to prevent hearing damage. it's quite a great thumb workout.
When I first started watching chess videos, Andrea was this sort of background character. She's stepping her chess game up to the next level and I'm here for it.
Thank you Eric and Andrea. I was looking for a good opening for white and both of your discussions and explanation did really help a lot. Andrea thanks for asking all those questions some of which i have not think of.
Eric at 9:12 doesnt the black queen have d4, then after that if the queens get traded of black will centralize their night in the center with tempo on the rook.
c5 is played by black to gain access to an open c-file later in the game, if your opponents aren't doing that you aren't winning or anything, but you'll likely have a decent advantage in space in return. the london isn't really a "punishing" opening in that way. dont expect to have much from the opening
I'm trying to work out the same thing...I seem to remember him showing how the queen gets trapped in that line in another video but I can't remember how
@@eric-rosen aaah thanks. The titel and the chapters seemed kinda similar to the other London lesson videos. But nice to have a new lesson because i play the London as well.
I did not pay atention to the board but to the girl. Beautiful! I would gladly lose if I ever was paired against her. Her videos are very funny especially when she plays against hustlers in the street.
Eric - I find it disconcerting that you usually say ‘her’ and ‘she’ rather than using names. I think names are a more polite way to refer to people. Given the chess world is often accused of misogyny it may be better to use names for female players. It’s wonderful that you have so much content with these players.
omg are you serious buddy! get a grip and stop with this idiotic WOKE culture and ridiculous mentality! you people need help. You find it "disconcerting" good lord already.. You can't use someone's name all the time. That's why we have pronouns! if the person was sitting right next to you then yes say her name, but not every single time.

Yeah, eric can really be obnoxious sometimes

I mean sometimes Andrea is loud too. Just saying..
The best part was when she was on mute.
"Sometimes embarrassment is a way to effectively learn" sometimes Eric is spreading quotable lines all over the place

I feel the same about that “support Ukraine” fundraising banner lmao 😅 most corrupt nation on the planet btw
Eric, I just like you a lot. You’re a very genuine person.
Agreed

Such a wholesome comment. Faith in humanity: marginally restored? 😢
Gonna be impossible to set the volume correctly for this video.

Amazing content. Feels like we are also taking part in this lesson. Eric is humble, calm and great at explaining intricate positions. Thank you!
The London was the first opening I learned when I got into chess. It was a Rosen video and it’s now my strongest opening.
King's gambit and italian for me :) I learned from the games of the great Paul Morphy
Andrea seems more focused than ever - it’s great to see!!

Same.
Was just thinking about rewatching your last video studying the London with botez and I just saw this right now!!

I was watching the old london videos from about 4 years ago and then this dropped, thank you 👏

Both a Botez Gambit and an 'Oh no my queen' in one video 😍

I wish I could be your student like that. I bought your courses on the London system but it's not the same...
Anyway, love this kind of videos
most genuine personality's put together!!
I need all these lines in my mind. I used to play London, but started Ruy lopez after one of Eric's videos i think.
Great video I wish I could get lessons from you either of you two both of you are very good
Enjoyed that lesson. Good work guys thank you
The video should be called: "Andrea Botez reacting to same Rosen's chess opening lessons for the third time".
i'd like to see ideas in the real london mainline with e6 and without early queen shenenigans by black
"Make sure to give me the finger" OK ANDREA, WE WILL xDDDDDD
We getting any more chess up videos?
awesome lesson!! thanks!
The last game Eric showed was so fcking brilliant.
I have Your London System Program Eric!
Question for Eric: Which GMs have you studied with and which one or two has the most similar mindset to yours as far as studying/ evaluation goes?
The botez gambit 😂 always
This should be called (I)Masterclass ^^
just proves why Botez gambit is called what is called :P
"Hopefully the index finger" lol hahah
Eric! I’m an amateur! What is the first book to bye?
How to Cry Like a GM: Onions and Londons
I always called it the London system
I love how you can kick ass of lower ratings and still the guys you kicked ass can kick ass to most people as well.
when u find out the player name "Crush a GM in 8 Moves" 😂🤣
Eric at 9:12 doesnt the black queen have d4, then after that if the queens get traded of black will centralize their night in the center with tempo on the rook.
No sir the Knight is pinned to the King by the Bishop so Qd4 is trapped ... QxQ game over

I wonder if they ever been out for drinks or date. They make a great couple. Another great video also on the London.
Thanks
Congrats on the straight 555K subscribers!! Just ruined the 55 comments though…
You could sell this content, quite useful, and fun too
7:25 Eric, is Nb3 playable there? (with the idea of Be5 trapping the queen in the future (maybe after a3))
What if the black queen goes to d4? Isn’t it a queen trade instead of a trap 9:12
The black knight on c6 is pinned
*Snape voice* You dare use my own opening against me Andrea? That's right. I'm the London prince.
When I play the London a lot of my opponents play Nc6 leaving the pawn behind in c7, is there some way to punish that?
Yes
@@axelnils How?

If youre expecting people to do this, the jobava london is nice to counter it since thats the main point of the system
I saw Be5 right away, but I know I probably get 1/5 of the puzzles she solves.
More London yay :D
Why doesn't queen take a2 early on when the rook moves?
I'm trying to work out the same thing...I seem to remember him showing how the queen gets trapped in that line in another video but I can't remember how
Love Eric, so de decided I could cope with 3 hair adjustment. Only made it 1 minute 22.
London supremacy letsgooo 🔥
At this point might as well use the earpiece mic, rather than that shure mic for 400$ that is recording her room ambience more than her voice.
Wow game 2 was the funniest.
why does he copy-paste the pgn rather than click "analysis" ?
6:16 9-11 months ago, nice…
Ooo chess on the new steam deck?
Is this a reupload?
Nope! This is my third and most recent London lesson with Andrea. We streamed it on Twitch last week.

How to beat the London: copy whites first 8 moves

Is the London your favorite opening for white Eric? Lol

How are women's pronouns misogynistic ? The comment section shitting on her for no reason is, Eric using the correct pronouns simply isn't
