Always loved Loretta and always will. Went to see her perform at the fair some years back. The way she walks out on stage and her dress swirls is a sight to behold. (She does it ever time!) What melted our hearts was, after she greeted the audience, she said, "Ever what y'all wanna hear, holler it out,". Yes, love the First Lady of Country Music.
Fuck her. During a show in Nashville, she she voiced her support for Donald Trump. Lots (and I mean lots) of people walked out of there.

So sad. This style of interviewing just sucks the life out of what could have been a cool interview. He needed to shut up and let her finish her story about Dean Martin, for instance. But there were other things too. Loretta is an awesome lady and I'm sure many people wanted to tune in just to see this. Then they give her a miniscule amount of time, lead her so quickly and so much that she doesn't have a chance to tell a story or show her own great personality. It just makes it lifeless and devoid of the warmth that it could have had if they hadn't had such a blatantly obvious agenda. I definitely have no interest in watching that show in future.
I agree 100%. It was all rushed like a weak show, and then cheap tasteless questions: "Did you get drunk with him?" "Did you ever smoke cocaine before?" What kind of trash is that to ask a Lady or Gentleman?!
These are two very different levels of talent here. Loretta Lynn is a legend who should have been treated with the respect that she had earned.
I agree I wanted to hear how Dean is Martin to save the show three times. She is pretty religious also so she’s not going to be smoking pot with Willie Nelson or drinking whiskey with anyone and if they bothered to do their homework they would’ve known better not to ask those two questions. I am not a journalist nor am I a huge country music fan but I knew that about Loretta Lynn. I agree bad bad interview

I feel like I was so lucky to grow up in the cultural mish-mash of seventies, when we were able to to appreciate whatever was contemporary, but also had a connection to the Old Skool music, Old Hollywood, & had respect for true legends across the board regardless of color or genre. Thanks to WWHL for giving the occasional nod and reverence to The Elders so that we can wax nostalgic!

I went to visit her home in Tennessee this summer. Hurricane Ranch. The tour was under $30, which included walking around the museum. Well worth the money. Beautiful home and area.

Loretta Lynn is a very talented song writer/singer, performing in front of thousands of people,, but then she is so down to earth, doesn’t try to impress. The type of lady I would feel very comfortable with sitting at the kitchen table having a cup of coffee.

This guy interviewing Loretta Lynn evidently didn't do his homework on her and she was gracious enough to be fun and play along with his questions. That being said Loretta Lynn being a bonified Southern Christian woman could have answered half of his questions.. Love Loretta Lynn Very Graceful, beautiful lady. I hope she has recovered from her stroke and then later breaking her hip. Last I saw she has recovered from her stroke she had 1 yr ago May 17, she broke her hip and was on a walker in Jan.18.. Prayers for you 85 yrs young Loretta Lynn....

I had no idea that she knew Elvis Presley. I remember wondering and looking for information a few years back and I came up with nothing concrete. What a lady she is! Everyone who knew Elvis, however briefly, seems so keen on talking about every little detail. These two are my favorite singers so hearing them sing together would have been amazing. Now Andy Cohen is absolutely obnoxious. Who asks a lady in her 80's if she smokes weed or gets hammered? She didn't do that stuff when she was young, it seems unlikely that she would start at her age. And can he let her talk?!
