My boy Boris!!!! One of the greatest people I have the honor to know and an OG SCTT member from back when he used to run the white limo to our runs.
Totally agree. And that white limo was nuts
Like this format. Would be cool to see more content like this where you do cameos on other trucks in your group and around you. Boris seems like a cool dude!
Absolutely love those Gen 1s you guys run❤️. Stay safe out there brotha!
Thanks man 🙏
luv Gen1 cool truck, like those headlights Amber running lights with black Truck also looks great.
Yes it does. After seeing the lights in person, I’m really, really tempted to get them for my truck
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad they are nice lights but damn they are glitchy. I would just get OEM retrofits
Glitchy? That’s not good. What kind of issues have you seen?
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I'm on my second set, my first was white and now amber. On both sets the DRLs will randomly be dim and the turn signal section will be 90% out and the rest of it flickering and it only happens when the truck is in gear because when you come out of park the lights flash. I'm not 100% sure but it might be related to remote starting the truck.
My first set was one of the first made and the lenses had some weird crystal like appearance after a couple years despite being ceramic coated and very well taken care of. I haven't had to use the warranty but I know other people have had lots of issues with morimotos. If they weren't so expensive I wouldn't complain so much
Freakin Sweet!!!
Thanks for all the videos! They are super helpful. I have a Get 3 Raptor and would love to come on one of your trail runs. Im local to you too.
Thanks man. Best way to join a run is to follow us on instagram. All run announcements are done there and it’s on a first come basis. Just need a 50 watt VHF and a good attitude to join.
Morimoto ambers ftw 🙌🙌 got the same on mine about a about a year ago and they’re sick
Digging how they look on Boris truck. Have you had any issues with them? Hearing some having problems with them from the DRL planks going dim to other weird glitches
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad i havent had any issues that im aware of. everytime i stop and look at the lights they seem to still be doing okay. theres no way to know what they're doing while driving unless ii get really close to a car which they still look good 🙌 also even tho ive had them for a year now, i dont drive much. probably 2k-3k miles a year on that truck
You just convinced me not to get those KM3. I’ll stick to Open Country M/T. Too bad they don’t make the R/T in 40’s or I would get those. Good video as always.
I’m really, REALLY hating the KM3s. Loud as hell on the road. Loud on the trails, grip is inconsistent, and now this. Tire blew on a who cares section of trail. Did not even feel it and the tire completely fell apart like I’ve never seen a tire go. Blew me away enough that I want to get rid of them even though they only have about 5k miles on them. They are practically new.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad wow, that’s really unfortunate tbh. I’m running Toyo M/T on size 39 which is a race tire. They’ve been holding up so far. But it is time to start looking for new ones, km3’s are the only tire I know that, that are 39’s. Don’t want to run anymore race tires and toyo doesn’t have 39’s. Just going to have to move up to a 40 in a M/T sinvce they don’t have them in the R/T yet. I know I might need to do additional trimming to make them fit. And adjust my preload to raise the front a little.
Wouldn’t gen 2 coil buckets and a gen 2 length coilover fix the height issue
I don’t think so. What’s off here, I think, is the springs. A heavier/ slightly longer spring is needed here to correct the height. SVC kit for example has a different spring and perch spec to run correctly.
Lucky it wasn’t the typical concrete fence post out in Baja.
Yeah, no kidding.
Would you recommend the svc or blitzkrieg mid travel?
Both companies make good kits. Between the 2 I think the Blitz kit has the edge. Stronger arm design, and more frame reinforcement than the SVC kit.
Thank you for the quick reply. If going with blitzkrieg mid travel would I be able to fit 37s or is it better to get eibach or gieser with trimming and pinch welds done for 37s ? Or is it better to stay with 35s ?
I have not recommended spring upgrades since 2020. After my experience with my 2020 raptor with Eibachs. Putting out a video next week to explain, but the shock bucket and the stock shock top hat can’t take it and they crack.
As for fitting 37s, I would recommend trimming the pinch welds regardless when running 37s. the extra clearance is necessary. With mid travel you also have to upgrade the fenders, can’t use stock fenders. And there is no need for additional trimming with aftermarket fenders.
So it's the same gen 1 travel? I didn't see any aftermarket bucket
No this is mid travel. I think it’s 14inches of travel but would have to check. This kit can get up to 16in of travel up front with the gen2 shock bucket.
