I love watching people digging up potatoes, sweet potatoes, cassava...feels like watching people digging up gold, LoL. That's quite a satisfying harvest you got there! I'm going to try this too, although I think the climate here isn't good for potatoes (sea level, dry, tropical of Sumatra Island). I want to dig my own gold!!! 😤😆 Wish me luck!!!

I watched a guy plant his potatoes in the same part of the ground for 30 years. Funny thing is,he still gets lots of potatoes. You don’t need all that mix. Compost does the same job as I did it over lock down. Trial and error.

the youtuber is right in what he said though. Crop rotation and some measure of plant variety is necessary if you want a healthy garden. Otherwise soil-borne diseases and specific mineral deficiencies start accumulating. The citrus tree farmers of the US had your mentality for centuries until a massive spree of disease took them by surprise and in a couple of years they are a shadow of what they once were. Breed 1 crop in the same 1 place and expect failure, nature craves for variety!

Apparently mounding/hilling is pretty unnecessary for 95% of potato varieties… only rare long season potato varieties (indeterminate) will actually set tubers vertically up the stem….the rest just set a few tubers horizontally around the original seed potato.

Many rose varieties don’t flower all the time, only flowering for a particular season, usually spring but it can vary,(sometimes multiple seasons depending on the rose variety and weather conditions). Roses also need to be pruned after the flower season finishes, usually the start of winter. Suggest you look up videos about how to care for, when / how to prune and dead head roses.
