I interpreted NFC Mode 2 to be the anime's version of switching between plug-in chip loadouts while also giving 2B A2's dash from the game (and what looks like Overclock being triggered just by dashing). It's closer to some of the high level stuff that you can do (some attacks in certain combos are so fast that you can barely see them individually even at 60fps, such as the 8 hits in 1 second combo that is light, light, heavy with 2 small swords. the cross cut she does at the end of that combo in game is actually 2 cross cuts in rapid succession.) She even finally performs perfect dodges, mirage, real time Overclock (in game it slows down time to 1/10th speed while you remain the same, showing that in real time at 24 fps 2D animation, yeah that's exactly what it would look like) and shockwave. It's how I wanted to see 2B fight from the start and I'm kinda disappointed it took this long into the series for her to do so. Also projectiles in the game are 1/10th the speed they are in the anime, which I always interpreted as being a representation of YoRHa reflexes (much like how blaster bolts are slowed down in Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor to represent Jedi reflexes.)
Up until now I felt that 2B was kinda weak in the Anime compared to how strong she can be in the game (even 9S can perform perfect dodges in game, I'm also dissapointed we haven't seen 9S use his telekinetic sword techniques or spear throw in the anime yet.), but that might just be me comparing the smoothness of 3D animations and the skill of some high level players and their loadouts vs the 2D animation (Which requires MUCH more effort as they can't just re-use the same ones over and over again. It's also easier to show her dashing forward and the enemies falling over than a complex series of maneuvers that would be too fast to see anyways at 24fps without slow motion.) I am however glad that they are showing that the Virus is YoRHa's Achilles heel, no amount of physical strength can prevail against something that turns your body and mind against you, exploiting and twisting your deepest desires as you lose everything else.
As for sound in space, I've always felt that's for the benefit of the audience more than the characters. Unless they have a vibration detection system that translates it into sound as a form of sensor output over the speakers (to help situational awareness) or in the case of the Magitech in NieR, magical particles being what carries the sound in the vacuum. (hence why I can believe YoRHa and pods can talk to each other even in the vacuum of space.)
i can't help but feel that commander white said she was sorry because she secretly knew this was gonna happen and didn't say anything or do anything about it to try and stop it because her hands were tied. it's as if she wished she could have done more for the people she lead.
One thing i did notice or if i didn’t pay attention when they explained, but why 9S could attack othet Yorha units when in the game he could only dodge

And I think that kiss is not fanservice, I think it is a reference to the transmission of the disease, but during the pandemic, I think that the infected bit the non-infected
