  • Peyaji - as we call it in Bengali language, are basically Onion Pakora / Fritters. The recipe is sliced onions mixed with some Besan (Gram flour) to make a tight batter which is then fried in the form of small pakoras. They are mostly paired with Muri (Puffed rice) and Green Chillies and especially had in the evening time as snacks. In Bengal you will find small vendors setting up "Chop er Dokan" or Fritter stalls just as the evening sets in and you are most definitely going to find these Peyaji in such stalls. People would buy fritters and them home or would have them right at the stalls chatting away with friends and family!
Extremely easy and fuss free to make, this dish is. So go ahead and make your own Peyaji and enjoy it with your friends and family!
