Hi Harry. I admit I was a bit nervous about running throught the water. But they did fine except for one time. I lost signal for just a couple of seconds. What is even more amazing is during the clean up and maintenance if found little to no water in the differentials and transmission. The tires, on the other hand, were full of it.
Right on! We're glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully, one day, you can get back on the trails. Until then, you're more than welcome to ride along with us. Thanks for the visit and commenting.
@expediterfromgeorgia7981 Well, I sure am sorry about that. I think a 4x4 wheel chair would be sweet. I can see it now, you climbing hills on that thing. And no worries. Just like the little trucks, we will flip you back over if you don't make it. But until then, we appreciate you riding along with us.

Great video .. could you do a video on how you guys clean your Defenders after a trail one like this video I'm curious to see I'm kinda new to the RC scene But I'm hooked thanks its your videos that did it for me😮😂😅
Hello, I sure can. That is a really good idea for a video. I don't think I have seen one on maintenance. It's really easy on the Trx4m. I only find water in the transmission and motor. Only a problem if you are running bearings. The differentials are usually dry. I don't know how, but they are. It's basically just a clean and dry procedure. I will get a video going on that asap. Thanks for the request. Have a good day brother.
@ckadventures7767 hey brother, I'm sorry its taking me so long to get that video put together. If it's not one thing it's another. I have the footage but I can't get it to upload to my editor. Hi Bill. Thank you for subscribing. it may be overkill, but I clean my rigs after every run. I dont know why, but hardly any water gets in the axles. Maybe a drop is all I have ever found. Where I do find the water is in the motor and transmission. And my tires are absolutely full of water. I am running the bushings everywhere but the transmission. I would check your rig after you run it the first few times just to see where you need the attention. Maintenance is important. These rigs are simple to clean. Thanks for the question brother. I hope you enjoy your Defender.
Hi. Thank you for the visit and question. You might laugh, but I'm using a gopro on a stick. It is approximately 3 foot long. With a velcro strap wrapped around the stick to the bottom of my controller. The gopro attached to the base of the stick low to the ground. I used to use a selfie stick, but it broke. So this is where I'm at.
Hi. I broke the front driveshaft through that hole 3 times in a row. My guess is it was binding from to much pinion angle. Thats how i came to discover the upper link adjustment. I could be wrong but I have been through there a dozen time since then and no broken drive shafts. Dropping it or rolling it down a hill hasn't broken anything. Very tough trucks. Thank you for the visit.
@@usssoupership thanks for the answer mate! Do you maybe have some advice what to upgrade first on my trx4m defender? I ordered the light kit but i have no idea where to start with the drivetrain and all that :D
@lovrooo HI. I would be happy to offer some advice. It's hard to say exactly where to start with upgrades. They are really good rigs. The Defender is top-heavy. My first upgrade was to add some weight down low. So I got the (traxxas)wheels and tires with brass rings. That made a huge improvement. Next, i installed the low gear in the transmission, and wow, another improvement. It climbed like a champ. I could have stopped right here and had a nice truck. But it was still top-heavy. So I started adding more weight. Bigger wheels and tires, steel link bars, differential covers, caster blocks, and knuckles that started a domino effect of part failures . Drive shafts, steering servos, differential gears. The added weight added stress, and the upgrade game was on. In the end, it's so heavy it hurts. of course, I added even more and dressed it out with cargo and a trailer. It's a beautiful outfit but limited compared to where it was with just wheels and tires and a low range gear. That's where I'd start. After that, it's all about your flavor. Have fun, and thank you for the question. It is only my opinion from personal experience. I hope it's good advice for you. Just Beware of the Dominos.
@@usssoupershipis it normal for the truck to sound like there’s dirt and stuff inside it after taking it off-roading? Mine makes a rough noise and the drive line seizes up at low speeds
