This is just enchantment, I've been smiling practically through this whole video! So much to enjoy and appreciate, but my favorite is the cabinet with the attached hooks. It looks perfect with all the embellishments and items stored in it!

The painted furniture really shows off the items well, and the tiny bonnets and purses will tempt ladies to have just one more purse. That crackle medium is fun! Age in a bottle.
I LOVE THAT AGE in a bottle!!! LOLOLOLL!!! I definitely think the light paint shows off the items better than if I left them just wood color! Now i need a curtain to hide the unfinished kitchen! Lololol!!!

It's been a maddening couple of weeks & I'm not caught up on all the Little Gretchen videos yet! How much of a delight was it to see this pop up on my front page though... I LOVE how everything's looking, I love the details of the backstory (you calling the ladies frugal was so perfectly on-brand).
One of the most inspiring parts of all your videos is when you say 'I'm just going to play a little bit'. I really appreciate you allowing us to see how you make decisions when dressing your rooms. Sometimes I get creator's-block when setting things up & I forget to experiment with the details to ensure I'm being brave with where I place things.
It's SO helpful to put on one of your videos & hear your encouraging voice as you use your imagination. The dress shop is looking incredible. If I was a little doll I would 100% spend hours in that store trying to look at every little thing & choose some gorgeous frocks & accessories. Thank you again! This video was a ray of sunshine.

Oh my goodness....I just love this little dress shop! I was thinking that if the ladies wanted to sell wigs, a bead could be wigged to look like a head of hair...that could get interesting!
Thanks Dot! I am really excited to be at this stage!!! Wigs is a Great idea!! That would definitely need to be a bigger shop! In those days wearing a "wig" was a little more 'confidential" than it is now. LLOLOL! Definitely would need more room for privacy!

Have I thanked you lately for not including the sound of sanding in your videos? 😄 It's so nice knowing I don't have to cringe when sandpaper appears. ♥ The honey dipper hat stand is so cute! 🥰 The showroom is very pretty- delicate, elegant, and feminine. Aunt Janie and Aunt Bess have done well with their salvaged furniture (and shopping bags 🤣). They are obviously excellent businesswomen, and I'm confident their new shop will do well. 😊 Along with the rooming house ladies (and their menfolk who want to buy them Christmas gifts), we're all looking forward to the Grand Opening!

Hello, the display units look wonderful, I love the touches of gold giving them that faded elegance look, I remember watching you make all the tiny things you have displayed, it's going to be amazing when the showroom is finished.
I also have lots of things that I've put "somewhere safe" usually never to be seen until years later, then they turn into "what was I saving this for" items 😂 in one of our previous homes we could blame our resident ghost, who used to move things around lol but this house is not that old 🙄 😅

Gretchen, you are fantastic. Can you make miniature storage boxes, and ones with lids. And can you make miniature stuff... Household. For example, building a miniature room... Maybe a simple one made with foam board. The decorate it and make stuff for the room and use what we already have. And do various designs... Bedroom, livingroom, bathroom, then kitchen.

Hi Gretchen the register counter could be converted to a lovely display case for accessories maybe a piece of plexiglass in the front.I would just remove the drawers flip the front around . The drawers could be shelves hanging or stacked ❤love your work .

I love this dress shop. I wish I liked making what I call the "little accoutrements" that go on shelves and in drawers and so on. I have done it for sure. (My Sherlock Holmes house had over 100 "little things" from the stories.) But it is not my favorite thing. I want to build the houses, put in wall paper, paint and paneling and make furniture and have someone come behind me to "dress the rooms." Any takers? BTW I don't know about "rub and buff." Gotta check it out.
Hey there Mary Kay!!!! That is SO Funny! I am the EXACT opposite! I just want to decorate and create tiny accessories to bring the rooms to life! I have never built a dollhouse nor I am not interested at all. I Love Restoring old dollhouses or making a New dollhouse look vintage or old. BUT DRESSING the Rooms is my ABSOLUTE Favorite! Wallpaper and such I do out of necessity! LOLOLOLOL!!! Be careful with that Rub n Buff very easy to get hooked on it!LOLOLOLOLOL!!!
