Ladies and gentleman...THE most satisfying punch in anime history !! You never see Luffy that angry !! Saint Charloss...It's insane how they created they most easy to hate character ever !! His voice, actions, state of being...The living embodiment of hundred of years of entitlement in that atrocious inbred form...There is somehow one or 2 more that are kind of worst later, be he is really...REALLY hard to beat !!
Definetly Luffy's best punch but gotta disagree about the Luffy never being that angry. I can think of a couple times where he was angrier but don't wanna spoil anything
What really sells this scene is that Luffy didn't need to dodge the bullets because they wouldn't have hurt him, and he didn't yell "GOMU GOMU" and wind up one of his rubber techniques like he usually does. He was so full of rage that he literally wanted to punch that man as a regular human being.
i want that exact same scene in future but this time fluffy gonna kill him with 1 punch and no damn admiral and even touch him this time or any top 5 member(including yamato)
detailed notice: Nami 8:22 This is one of the rare situations where we see Namis source and reasoning for her greed. Since she was a child she learned the importance of money and how strongly it can be used to save people. So whenever shes greedy you can often realise its because she wants to save that money for when its needed. Also the goosebumps of this episode! Nothing hits harder than Luffy hitting Charlos back into the manga. The best punch in One Piece (even till today imo)
I feel its a bit underrated why Nami is so shocked that the fishmen are persecuted here. She grew up with them being monsters, killing her mother and forcing her to do their bidding. Only for her to learn in another part of the world, they are treated worse than animals and thats its the humans that are the monsters. Crazy.
The Straw Hats’ top priority wasn’t to save Camie. It was to save Camie _before_ Luffy arrived at the Human Auction House. Because you know he’d have done something crazy like attack a Celestial Dragon.
Everyone always talks about the punch but I love the juxtaposition around it too! When Hachi grabs Luffy and begs him not to attack a celestial dragon, Luffy calmly and gently takes Hachi's hand and silently places it on his chest. It's such a gentle and tender display from a character who we've seen be bolsterous and chaotic for a person who once opposed the Straw Hats. And then immediately, he just unleashes fury on Saint Charloss. A brilliant characterization showing how Luffy treats those he cares for and those who get on his bad side - all without him saying a word Oda was on top of his game during this Saga
The thing is, we've seen Luffy's calm fury before in the beginning, when Luffy overheard the execution of Zoro being planned. It was always there, but we didn't know how crazy he was willing to go!
Nope it actually didn’t. How can a video turn into pages? Scientifically doesn’t make sense. The joke was funny 10 years ago. Not now. So unoriginal. Not even funny anymore. It’s overused and it’s being ruined by people like you who overuse it
I might be a little bit biased but I personally think the punch in episode 1015 trumps this one just a wee bit more. This is still an absolute legendary moment though
18:38 always makes me well up seeing hatchis speech, charloss point the gun a second time and luffy throwing his body in front of the injured hatchin almost like an animal mother defending its young from predators in the wild.
I agree with you there. One piece has a lot of characters who go from extremely hated to extremely lovable, but Hachi is definitely towards the top of that list for me.
Even after 1064 episodes, the scene of Luffy punching the ever living DOG WATER out of Charlos still remains TO THIS DAY the most SATISFYING and CATHARTIC scene in the ENTIRE SERIES, and quite possibly the most satisfying punch in all of ANIMANGA HISTORY. Seriously I cannot even begin to COUNT the amount of times I've replayed this masterpiece of a moment. Gives me chills and gets me hyped up to this day, and especially with that absolutely gorgeous animation with all of those black & white manga style impact frames.
@@Agent-57 but again, Kuma sent everyone flying because Kizaru was too much for them to handle. Kizaru was only attacking because Luffy punched Charlos

4:52 The official US Dollar to Berrie conversion is 1$ is worth 43 Berries. So a 50 Million Berrie Bounty would be equivalent to a 1,162,790$ bounty in USD. Which also means that the government is willing to pay you just a little more than a dollar to capture Cotton Candy Lover Chopper ;P
What i like about this scene is that, luffy didnt have to dodge the bullets since he's made of rubber, but the celestial dragon disgusted luffy so much he didnt even wanna get hit by the filth, also he didnt use any named attack on the guy cuz using a named attack is a sign of respect, which luffy had none for the filth.
