"Out" with Rich...a trip to Rye!

- John-boy & I took a few days off for a break. We drove down to the Sussex coast and stayed in an "unspoiled" beauty spot called Rye (the film location for the tv series, Mapp & Lucia). Then on our last day, we visited friends in the nearby town of Hythe (another beautiful landmark). A lovely time was had by all, and we met some lovely folk to chat with on our stay!

Oh the vertigo was kicking in when you went up the final stairs in the bell tower. 🤢 loved where you stayed. Who would want a hotel when there are gems like that around.

Such a very charming town- I have never been to England and this was a joy to see. I could never make it to the top of the bell tower! I am impressed by you both, as seeing the warning sign I would retreat to the nearest tea shop.

I think you maybe the wrong scale for low doorways 😀 The fuzzy tree in the churchyard might be a Cotinus or aptly the common name is Smoke bush they are amazing at this time of year. Thanks for taking us with you, Rye is beautiful😊

Couldn’t watch the bit in the middle…….I can’t do heights! I would never have managed all those stairs. Lovely looking town and that shop at the end is amazing!
😂 you have a problem stepping over our front door step sweetie! I can't imagine you trying those church stairs at all! 😂 Yes the shop is great fun, we know the couple that own it, and went the day before to their home for a cuppa. They are a lovely couple 😁❤️
