- A good friend once told me that each individual Oriental Magpie-Robin sings a different tune. Since then, I have paid special attention whenever I chanced upon them singing. They are indeed accomplished singers, belting out their own unique tunes, regardless of when or where they are.

I have been birding for about 2 yrs now. Am happy to let u know that this species is doing quite ok! You can actually find quite a number at Botanical Gardens, Tampines Ecogreen, Jurong lake gardens...

I read that It used to be the most common bird in sg, but numbers were greatly reduced due to competition from Javan Mynahs

The magpie robin near my home sings like a kindergarden english teacher spelling alphabets 🤣, the song is so unique I cant find it in youtube, someoneplease reply if they heard the same tune.
