DIY 10 CH (iBus to PWM) Receiver for FlySky i6 and iA6b receiver

- Hello Everyone,
We are going to make a ten channel PWM receiver (similar to iA10b) using Arduino Nano. It will cost you just Rs.200 for the Nano board and it has wide range of applications. You can use all 10 channels of your tx to make RC robot, RC excavator etc.
You will have to upgrade your transmitter to 10 channels if it still has old 6 CH firmware in it.

By any chance, can you explain the nature of the rx outputs? I want to make my own flight controller and I'm stuck because I don't know what protocol the fs-ia6b uses.

@@TanM thanks I already figured it out. And I'm programming it for the pwm outputs only. I'll consider iBus later maybe.
@@rajatmond I went down the same path. Getting IBus working is so very worth it. That's if you are using a microcomputer like an Arduino. You'll find that PWM has too many errors. Looks like I'm responding to a year old post. lol. Well, anyone that sees this, please give IBus a good try. This method presented here works great.
@@froggytoad7763 yes I used a m7 nucleo dev board(mbed OS). Never got around to using ibus since this is just a hobby and i have to code drivers too if i want to use anything more than pwm.

Recently I used ibusbm library in one of my projects with arduino nano
However I noticed that FAILSAFE is not working with ibus.
I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same problem
Temporarily I solved it so that I connected channel 5 to one of the input pins on nano so that the program brakes when failsafe is triggered
I really have no idea about that

I used this program but in serial monitor if a print serial.available it is alwaya giving 0 output, and not working, Rx led is blinking in arduino nano. Please help

I did the same, it was working fine.. then it stopped. PPM shows zero signal always... But individual servo pins do work.. only problem is with ppm pin. Why it stopped. Any ideas?
have you turned on PPM output in TX?

Apology for any typos.. i meant to say that the ibus pin is not working... The individual ppm pins for servos do work. I have enabled PPM.

Oh. 10ch tx? try karunga pakka. uske liye STM32 board use karna padega 72mhz wala. Arduino is slow runs at 16mhz

Nice try , but again it will get more lag , regular flysky receiver is equiped with 32 bit processer , and Arduino is 8 bit , so the latency will be quit high using Arduino , flysky receiver has 76ms latency and may be with Arduino it would be 900ms
But at the end of the day

I dont think there is much latency. And for robotics applications or even RC planes this much of latency is ok.
