In an effort to improve his diet and become healthier, (that's a lie) The L.A. BEAST decided to take on the one and only Ginger Root Challenge. A ginger root is the rhizome of the plant Zingiber Officinale and is consumed as a delicacy, medicine or a SPICE.(Very,very potent and strong) If consumed in reasonable quantities, ginger has few negative side effects, and is on the FDA's "generally recognized as safe" list. Since The L.A. BEAST thinks the 0.75 lb chunk of Ginger Root that he consumed was of reasonable quantity, The Ginger Root challenge becomes the safest and first kind of FDA approved challenge in the history of L.A. BEAST challenges. This is a glorious day. Feel free to post your video responses and see if you can BEAST the BEAST!!!!!!

I watched this 8 years ago today (when it was uploaded) in the hospital when my first daughter was born. She slept, I laid on the couch in the room and watched this video waiting for her to wake up again. 8 years and two more kids later, still watch it every year on this date.

I got a great challenge: The Raw Challenge. What this challenge would consist of is Russian roulette system where you would have to consume 5 out of 10 (or whatever you decide) RAW items. These items could consist of raw eggs, raw onion, raw oysters, raw garlic cloves, etc... otherwise, a whole bunch of raw foods. The roulette system could be decided with a die roll and your roommate would randomly place each food item in a numbered container.
Don't forget to add some live bugs to that challenge too
Now, that's something WrecklessEating would do, but it would be cool to see the L.A. Beast do this too.

I love Ginger as much as the next guy, But once I grabbed a Peice of Raw Ginger like that from the fridge and took a bite out of it out of pure curiosity and it was instant regret, Kinda like eating a raw Garlic clove where it is just insanely strong and burns like a bitch.
